Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Good morning, I took my vehicle to Aamco in September to have a transmission replaced. The first transmission did not work. The mechanic pinched a wire. If it was test driven the first time I would not have stalled my van twice on the road from picking it up the first time. The same mechanic also broke the tire valve stem on the van. The first transmission replacement they had my vehicle for almost two weeks. That is unacceptable. After they wanted my van back to fix further issues they offered a rental vehicle due being out of a car yet again. That was paid by from the mechanic. (I was told) Now dealing with the 3rd Office person and now more new mechanics. In between the first and second transmission replacement I have taken the van back for numerous reasons. Finally offered to replace Transmission again under warranty. Took it back in this past Monday October 28th. Got Van back on Wednesday. Took my van straight to my local mechanic to have oil changed as I was leaving for a camping trip the next day. He informed me my transmission fluid was gushing out. Drove it YET AGAIN back to Aamco almost 25miles away. They said the seal had a hole in it. I waited while they supposedly fixed that. On my way home I felt the van not shift correctly but gave it the benefit of the doubt. Since the office manager acts like I am just complaining and dont know what I am talking about. I went to drive my van that night around 8 to my neighbors house 3 doors down to have him plug my tire (a nail hole that happened at Aamcos shop in their possession). When I went to back my van into his driveway it would not back up. My neighbor who is a mechanic tried to back my van up and test drove it around the court. He said there is something really wrong with my van I needed to take it back YET AGAIN. So the next morning I went straight there to have them fix whatever was wrong. I have video of how the office manager talked to me as I recorded it all on my phone. He called me snotty! They said they don't find anything wrong with my vehicle I needed to leave it there. The mechanic said they will need to to wait for my vans engine to get cooled off in order to see what was wrong. I said okay I will sit here and wait and office guy Tom kept yelling at me I was not allowed to wait with my vehicle. I am not from PA and do not have a lot of people I know local. I expressed this was my 8th time coming back with this vehicle and I was upset. I should not have to keep coming back to the same place for my vehicle when there is something wrong and something different wrong every time I go. There was a cockroach crawling across the floor the one time I was there with my son. Not the best environment for a child with asthma. They do not show any sympathy for the amount of times I have had to waist my gas and time going back and forth 25 miles each way. When I brought it back for the Fluid gushing out Tom the office manager said well something had to of happened because we checked the van out before you left. Insinuating I did something to my vehicle. When all I did was drive it. They are very rude. I asked for the owners number and they refuse to give it to me. He said on Thursday the owner will contact me and it is now Monday! I have yet to be contacted. I have records of all dates I have driven back and forth to them. I have records of the gas money I have had to spend going back and forth. The days off of work I have lost due to not having a vehicle for almost 3 weeks. I also have pictures from just this weekend of a puddle of fluid and a slow leak under my van. I also have pictures of my dash while driving on 40mph and vehile is revving up to 5 and 6 and still does not shift. My van did not want to go in reverse yesterday up my driveway when I got home. This vehicle is not working and they want me to leave my vehicle yet AGAIN. Losing work time and money for gas driving back and forth to them. They have gone through 3 mechanics and on their third office manager since September when I went in there the first time. I would like for them to put themselves in my shoes. Having 3 kids, no car for almost 3 weeks and having to take it back in forth for 10 plus times just for what was supposed to be a transmission replacement. I am sure they would not want to return. Clearly they don't know what they are doing. The smell of transmission fluid and the smell of my engine burning up is horrendous and my kids can barley breath in the van. This is starting to become a health issue as well. I would think the Owner of this company would want to make this right. I was told he was going to call me and I am still waiting. This is unacceptable!!! The outcome will be as follows, From here on out I am asking for a rental vehicle until my vehicle is fixed. I want compensated for the gas money I have had to spend driving back and forth to their shop for their errors. Or I am requesting a full refund. The third option I am giving them if to have my vehicle fixed somewhere else and they can pick up the bill. If this continues and is not fixed once and for all then I will hire a lawyer and file a complaint with the Magisterial District Court. This is absolutely ridiculous for a company to expect a customer to come back what will be 11 times to fix issues they have caused. If this was their family vehicle, their time and their extra money for gas and that many times expected to come back and leave their vehicle again. I am sure if the shoe was on the other foot they would feel the same way. Regards, [redacted]

We have contacted [redacted] and made an offer to give her a remanufactured transmission with a 3/50,nationwide warranty for a nominal price in exchange for the used unit she currently has been having problems with We even offered to reduce the price for her to use that money for a rental if she needed The price was the issue so we offered an interest free loan of which she could decide the monthly amount of payment that would fit her budget After several days to think about it she declined our offer The salvage yard that we purchased her used unit is having another one ship to us This used unit will be installed and covered under her current warranty

We have contacted [redacted] and made an offer to give her a remanufactured transmission with a 3/50,000 nationwide warranty for a nominal price in exchange for the used unit she currently has been having problems with.  We even offered to reduce the price for her to use that money for a rental if she needed.  The price was the issue so we offered an interest free loan of which she could decide the monthly amount of payment that would fit her budget.  After several days to think about it she declined our offer.  The salvage yard that we purchased her used unit is having another one ship to us.  This used unit will be installed and covered under her current warranty.

October 5, 2015Dear [redacted],In regard to the complaint from [redacted] that you forwarded to us, we would like to present our response.First off, [redacted]'s timeline is inaccurate. Last we spoke with her she was asked to bring her car in so we can check it out and have the car here incase the...

vendor that we purchased her used transmission from had any questions. She has yet to bring her car back to our shop. We understand that it's inconvenient for her. We have been in contact with the vendor and explained her situation. The vendor agreed to just send us another unit. The used unit they wanted to send us had more mileage than the unit we installed in her car. That was unacceptable to us. The vendor has agreed to find another unit that has the same or less mileage. Once the vendor finds a unit and ships it to us we will inspect the unit then call [redacted] so she can make arrangements to bring her car in for the transmission swap. In the interim, [redacted] can continue to use her car until the replacement unit arrives. To conclude, we feel that [redacted]'s grievance is unfounded, as is her request for a refund. AAMCO of West York has an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. With that said, we are doing everything in our power to make this right for [redacted]. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.Sincerely,AAMCO of West York
