had to dig down in order to repair the main. We received approval from the Sewer Maintenance Dept to repair their main while we were on the site. Any area where a public utility is located is considered to be part of the "Right of Way". All work described by this citizen was completed on the "Right of Way". We apologize for the oil spill. It was cleaned up as soon as we were made aware of it. The City of Springfield is responsible for the Street patch and they will take care of it according to their schedule.

Address was [redacted]. Work was done under the name of[redacted], but I was paying the bill. I had spoke to two female employees at Reed's. They are very much aware of the address and me.

Reed's Plumbing will deduct the charges in question. There was definitely a problem with the sewer line that caused it to clog as soon as it did. It is our policy to treat our loyal customer's with respect and consideration.

While digging next door to this customer, we found that the 2 sewer lines (this customer and the neighbor's) were tied together and that this customer's sewer line had a bad spot.

he agreed to have it repaired while we had the line exposed. Taking care of his problem at the time was considerably less expensive than waiting to have it done. Since he personally spoke to our operator and agreed on having the repair completed that day, we do not feel that we owe this customer anything in return. He was fully aware of all that was going on at the time.

I was not around that day, I left after they had broke my line and went out of state for a week on a mission trip with my church. I did say they could fix it I just think that $557 was a bit too much to put in the clean out, they had already dug the ditch and that shouldn't be put on me to pay, I didn't request them to dig the sewer line my neighbor did. so I am willing to pay for a clean out but $557 is plain robbery. if they would of told me it was going to be that much I would of turned them down. like I said, I left the state and wasn't there to watch them work. this is plainly taking advantage of a homeowner.

It appears that this customer is not willing to admit that we were not responsible for the circumstances that we found. We were there to resolve the sewer problem that his neighbor was experiencing when we discovered that the two lines were tied together. We realize that he may not have been aware of this either. As such, we will go forward, not dwelling on what took place in the past. We are going to return $375.00, even though our previous charges were fair and reasonable. We are not giving a full refund because he did agree, on the date of service, to pay to have a cleanout installed.

I will accept the $375 I just thought that $557 was way to much to install a cleanout
