We purchased a truck from RWC in Phoenix AZ. They connected Jules and Associates about our loan. Jules contacted us directly instead of going through the finance department. They say one thing on the phone and something comes in the paperwork. They require a deposit before sending you the loan documents.
Jules original proposal for a capital lease was a 1% buyout. we also had the discussion on the phone & in email that our full intent is to buy the machines - we do not want a lease that extends or an option to buy - we will buy them! However in the actual contract the wording changed to a fair market value if you did not officially notify them by certified mail 180 days before the expiration of the lease, at which point the lease is supposed to automatically extend for 6 months & you need to give them 210 days notice. However you can't put 210 days notice into 6 months! The agreement was written that Jules would provide us notification prior to the 6 month period. on one lease they did not send any notice, no invoices or anything after the last payment - then 20 months later stated that we owe them for the machine. The second lease they sent us a letter about an address change, & then at the bottom of the letter had a sentence that stated this serves you notice on lease #X. No further notice until we would have been in an extension period - when in speaking about another issue completely they told us we were in default. When we challenged that after some back & forth - they offered to sell the machines to us at a current fair market value! we said no that is not right - then they said they will get back to us. it went 4 months with them saying nothing at all, no invoices, emails, or phone calls - at which point they sent us a certified letter stating that they want the machines back. Whatever you do - do not use Jules - they will get you with the fine print, & you will end up with a bad deal in your hands.
