We booked and were required to send a $250 deposit and noticed that both of us were the only ones to fulfill the contest obligations by liking, sharing and commenting on the page before the contest closed which guaranteed us a win. No winner was ever announced and we asked right in the [redacted] post who had won. No reply was ever offered. We emailed her directly and she said the winner had been drawn however due to confidentiality would not say who it was, only that there were 24 names who had entered through various methods including email entries. However the contest never mentioned additional ways of entering as it appeared it was offered as a means to generate advertisement which it obviously didn't since us two were the only ones to fulfill the obligations of liking, sharing and commenting.
On July 28th, our correspondences with JHP made it clear we were no longer willing to work with someone who was not transparent and [redacted]. We requested a refund (keeping in mind she had only had our money for 2 weeks) and it was declined. Julie mentioned she had other people inquiring about our wedding date and it made sense for her to cancel our agreement, offer a refund and seek a new client however she was unwilling to return our money.
