I will be out to heat and smooth the crackfiller once my crews come back for the seasonI will state again this drive is close to needing pavedIf you sit and twist your tires in one spot you are going to see damage on the crackfillerI see a completion date by 5-15-weather pendingAgain I want to state this is the customers driving habits causing this problem on an older drive

In response to *** *** complaint I have sealed her drive 2005,2009,and June 18th It seems like every time this job is completed we have to go back due to the crackfillingWe use a hot rubberized crack sealant one of the best on the marketThe problem is they are sitting in one
spot and cranking the wheels of the carTheir turn around area is not the greatest and it is tight compared to most drivewaysIf you look on the straight aways the crackfiller is fineDrive is also close to needing pavedWe have over the years explained the situation to the customer on more than one occasionWe have always gone back and touch it upOur contract even states"Heavy twisting of tires in one area will cause marring of the crack sealant"The customer called on June 20th complaining once again about the tar.My guys were there June 30th and touched up the tar and covered it with sealerThe customer did call again about the tar and on a couple of other times. I left one message on attempts to reach herI finally gave up because we were so busyThis customer knows me personally through a ex family memberFor her to contact the Revdex.com and not try to reach out to me again while we are slow and not working yet upsets meand I call the job complete

I will take 100% responsibility for thisThis should have been resolved sooner and I procrastinated with the issueSomething heavy had to have turned around in the entrance to the drivewayI feel it was not caused by poor baseBut do to the length of time that has transpired we will tear out and
replace the apron which I marked with yellow paintAs for the rut we will deal with that we do not spot check existing asphalt for firmness

I first contacted Mr. Howe's office on April 9, 2018.  At that time , I asked for an estimate to seal our driveway that was installed by Mr. Howe on 9-23-17 and to contact us to discuss the drain that was installed when the driveway was replaced.  After approx. 10 days and no response, I again attempted to reach Mr. Howe.  I left a message by following instructions.  I dialed 80 and left a message.  No response.  Several days later his salesman was across the street looking at a driveway.  I ask him to look at our drain and pass a message to Mr. Howe.  To date - no response.  On 4-30-18 I went next door to see if Mr. Howe contacted him and he said that they were going to repair it and seal it and the neighbor's across the street the very next day.  When this occurred, we realized that our problem was bigger than we thought and he had no intention of contacting us.  As to Mr. Howe's response.  We have found no business cards on our property.  As for the statement that "concrete is guaranteed to crack", I do not believe any professional concrete person would agree with that.  We have a walkway from the driveway to the front door - 18+ years old - no cracks.  As for Mr. Howe's solution. We are not interested. As for the rebar.  Mr. Howe stated that he did not know how the person installing the concrete surround could have gotten the rebar in his very small car as it would not fit. (Mr. Howe's comment).  When he inspected the job - we were not present - he apparently missed seeing that a third crack had appeared.  He also does not address the chipping along the edges of the concrete.  The problem is that, since Mr. Howe did not think it was important to discuss this problem with us and we felt since the job was poorly done and we obviously were unhappy with the job and since he was an A+ member of the Revdex.com - we should notify the Revdex.com.  We will now have to do what we think is necessary.  Thank you for taking the time to contact Mr. Howe for us.

Mr [redacted] and I did discuss the crack soon after the job was completed and there was a crack. I said lets watch it and see what happens at the end of last season. And I did say I stand behind my work. The customer contacted my office I went out and inspected the drive the customer was not home I...

left my card in the door and left. Trying to get my season started I figured we would get connected eventually, it was no big deal he has a year warranty and wasnt like I could do anything with how the weather was in April. Mr [redacted] called on April 9th and left a message that is still on my desk I have been trying to get my guys back to work with the weather and everything I am behind on everything My Salesman saw him and he told him that I was on it and knew about. As my salesman said and any concrete guy would say concrete is guaranteed to crack, you just got to hope it cracks in the cut joints. This did not. As for rebar my contract does not state that I would put rebar in. There is rebar to hold the drain in place and I brought rebar to the site to be installed. There is a minimum of 8" of concrete around the drain. To repair this will require removing the concrete that is damaged which there will be a color difference, saw cutting into the asphalt on both sides of the drain and putting and asphalt patch on both sides which will have to be tar. sealed, Once you sawcut new asphalt it will loose its strength and in my opion it will look like [redacted]. Due to Mr. [redacted] impatience this was not able to be discussed with him. I know he's wanting to sell in the next few years and for what he invested I would not do it if it were mine. I was going to offer to seal the drive for free for the inconvience.

I accepted Julius Howe's completion date of
05-15-15 but asked that someone from the business call and come out before the work is done. That was my response to his agreement to complete the work.

#[redacted] Julius C. Howe Asphalt Sealing CompanyI have reviewed the response made by Julius Howe and have determined that
this is an untruthful account of my complaint. On 06-18-14 the job was done and
immediately the tar was peeling and coming apart. Julius states quality and
customer satisfaction. He says on June 30th they returned. No note
or call was given as to there coming out and what they did. I was
out of town on this date and didn't return until some time in July. He states
every time he does my job they have to go back. This is an untruth because if
this would have been a problem on the first job there wouldn't be a second job.
He also claims sitting in one spot and cranking the wheels of the car along
with the turn around area as a problem and is tight. Also another untruth as no
one has sat in one spot and cranked the wheels of a car and there is
plenty of room for a turn around. He says I didn't reach out when I called several times
with no response and he claims he left a message so he gave up as he was so
busy. No message was sent as I have caller ID and his number was never on my telephone. I
waited until Sept_ 2014 after his busy season to contact him again so he could
come out and take a look. The problem was so bad that I had several people
bring it to my attention and advised me to file a complaint. I have been a
widow for two years and thought since his jobs in the past were satisfactory
and he states quality and customer satisfaction is what he stands on, I
continued with his business. He now says this job is complete. Then my
complaint stands as he has made it clear he has no intention to make this
right.

Prior to the installation of a new asphalt driveway, I was repeatedly gauranteed 2 things:- best quality- guaranteed customer satisfactionI'm not satisfied with the quality or attempts to correct the quality (and not satisfied with the customer service)
