New hardwood floor installation was done incorrectly Business refuses to correct all installation issues
We contracted Julvin Flooring for the 3rd time after a major home repair The previous purchases went perfect The product and the installations were wonderful However, on this last purchase we had major issues with both sub-contractors Julvin used to install the flooring Both the Carpet crew and the hardwood crew did a poor job The Carpet crew has corrected all the issues and damage caused during their portion of the installation However, the Hardwood Flooring installer did a horrible job We have met with the owner of Julvin numerous times about the issues Some of them have been corrected (The door that was cut wrong and the transition/reducer.) It's important to note, we supplied the flooringwhich we also did in the previous hardwood installation years ago That installation crew (different than the one used in August of 2017) did and outstanding job T

Julvin hasn't resolved issue with wood flooring installation. Flooring wasn't installed or finished properly and co repeatedly give me the run around Julvin flooring installed hardwood flooring that is imperfect in the installation as well as the finishing of the product. Widening of spaces between boards. Cupping, rising of floor, uneven floor, pinching of boards, splinters as well as chunks of wood cut between boards showing and uneven placement. Finish isn't completely over all of unfinished wood and debri, hair and bubles in finish.Desired SettlementThe whole floor needs to be replaced as the flooring is in all the rooms except secondary bedrooms. The subfloor needs to be inspected for cracks. This wood flooring wasn't allowed enough time given to acclimate to the house as it was kept in sealed boxes in an unheated, noninsulated area prior to installation. Excessive shrinkage!!!Cannot achieve desired look with filling of all wide seams, I paid for all hardwood not excessive fill. Proper staining without streaking. Proper placement of finish without debris, bubbles and hair are required after new flooring is installed. There will be too many marks as well as removal of tongue and grooves to use old wood flooring. Staples are also used and would have to be removed weakening the thin tongue. We are disabled and should not be responsible for placement or removal and replacement of furniture. No one was going to accept responsibility for total clean up including inside of cabinets and closets. We didn't have anywhere to stay and should have been offered be placement.Business Response /[redacted]/Mrs. [redacted] cancelled her appointment at 11pm via text message to the builder on July 31 sharing that she had an infestation of worms, so the work would have to be postponed. We were notified by the builder at 7am August 1st en route to the job. I called her and she explained to me that she was calling an exterminator. I will except the floor to be fixed but not all said and done with the wood and his workmanship. Consumer Response /[redacted]/I didn't say I wasn't pleased with the resolution to this problem I need to have in place after the floor is fixed the same guarantee as was in place as before not have it dissolved as the contractor stated to me. I have pictures of the damaged areas as well as other estimates to repair and/or replace with a guarantee in place after the floor is done as this is the standard practice.
