Review: I live in Juniper Apartments in Manteca. I was told that they were going to check up on the apartments. I thought okay that's fine. But when I go in the office for them to say I NEED to clean my carpets because they say so. I don't think so. Well the apartment manager [redacted] thought it was up to her to replace my light bulbs without asking me then told me that she was going to charge my account. She also thought that I wouldn't find out but I was in the office talking to someone else and I over heard her that she took pictures of my bedroom and etc. For what reason. She didn't have one. I wasn't there when she looked around my apartment, she never asked if she could take photos of my apartment or my clothes. I own ALOT of clothes and shoes. All she talked about to me is why do you have all those shoes. What I have isn't her business unless I'm not paying rent. By her taking the photos I truly feel like she violated my rights has a person. She told me SORRY but never said if she destroyed my photos. She was in the wrong. I want her to write me and let me know that my photos are destroyed and that she won't do this again to me or others. I feel violated and so do my kids.Desired Settlement: I would like her to write me a letter on the business company letter head and have her managers sign it as well but just to say that she did destroyed the photos and that she is sorry. That this wont happen again. I want the owner of the property to know how she treats tenants.

In regards to your letter to Juniper Apartments, please note that I have spoken to this tenant and reassured her all that pictures (2 total) were deleted, and that I have spoken to the management onsite and cleared all issues for her the same day I told her I would. I was not aware that there were still concerns. The reason for taking the pictures was only to show the resident what needed to be moved so we could prepare for our inspection that was going to be conducted. At no time did we intend to upset the tenant. I had already reassured her that I had taken care of her concerns in my correspondence through phone, email, etc. We also did not charge this tenant for the light bulbs replaced, or anything else, which I had also stated to her during our conversation.

Our job as management is to make sure that all residents are following the rules and guidelines when it comes to safety, fire hazards, etc. We know that we cannot make make everyone understand how this process works, but we are simply making sure our tenants are safe, which includes making sure there are no items blocking windows, etc. Again, we did not intend to upset any of our tenants, as we were doing our normal procedure.

If this resident would like us to write a letter and have management sign, which is fine with us. I work every closely with the owner and always let him know of issues we have onsite, so please be aware I keep no secrets from him.

Review: I've been having a problem for over two and a half months with trying to have them fix my Air Condition Unit in which I had a water leak in which it has caused water damage to my wall and the base board and it looks like there's mold. I've complained and I've sent two certified letters to the owners of the property and the only thing that's been fixed is the AC unit. Now my heater isn't working so I'm not sure if the AC is working either. I've scheduled some many appointments to have them come in and it still hasn't been corrected. I've informed them that I want to be home because one of there maintenance worker came into my home and stole my daughter [redacted] so I don't want them entering without me and every time we've schedule appointment I've been there and it's always been on there end. Today October 22, 2014 I had an appointment and they went to my neighbor house who had just called and schedule her appointment and they fixed the same problem that I have but my problem has been going on for months and then they come in my apartment and they don't have the material to fix my wall again and they don't know why my heater isn't working. I have children in my home. I've always been a good tenant.Desired Settlement: I want the issues in my apartment fixed and I also feel that I need to be compensated for all of the inconvenience that me and my family have been put through . I have to keep taking time off from work and my [redacted] has been increasing since all of this. I have always paid my rent on time and I feel when something needs to be fixed in my home that they shouldn't have a problem with fixing it and done in a timely matter. I just want to have my repairs made.
