Junk in the Trunk Reviews (1)

On the 21st of august 2015 I went in with my friend looking for a used mircowave. this place had one a 700w w/ turn table proctersilex for 30, just over 32 with tax. it worked fine for exactly one week, then for the 1st time I cooked over 4 minutes (1st timer set 4:30 min then opened door checked food then set 1:30 mins) it shuts off, and I don't mean it just stopped, I mean the microwave got soo hot it killed itself until unplugged for 10 mins then plugged back back in. till then the lights were all off and nothing worked. The microwave was so hot on the top and right sides I was surpized it didn't start to melt. I looked up the phone number and their fb page which said they were open on sunday ( they weren't) and tried to call. I also tried a couple of other days to call and never got an answer. I was told bs cause she was always there. Sept 4th 2015 I swing in with same friend to ask about returning for a refund, from that point on I was treated so rudely I was shocked. I was cut off in my explaination of what was wrong and why I was seeking a refund. Was told rudely they don't do refunds. I asked if I could talk to the owner, was told by clerk she would call her. As she was looking in her cell phone for the number I told the clerk they needed to adjust the fb page cause it was saying it was open when it wasn't. I was told "your just [redacted] about everything aren't you" I responded no I was upset about buying faulty equipment" Next thing I know the clerk was jumping out of her chair telling me to just leave, to get the [redacted] out of there or she was going to call the law on us. I'm sorry but This is no way to treat customers, Yes I may have on my way out called her a nasty name, but I'm an abuse victim with panic attacks and anxiety disorder. I went into full panic mode being threatened and yelled at.Product_Or_Service: proctorsilex microwaveDesired SettlementConsidering how poorly I was treated by the staff, I want not only a full refund of the price I paid I want an apology from both the business and the clerk, as well as $150 dollars to buy a new microwave seeing as I can barely afford to live much less replace something I already lost money on once. Business Response Re: Case [redacted]Junk in the trunk is an indoor "Flea Market". Vendors pay rent for their booths, individually pricing their items. All purchases are made at the front of the store. There is a sign at the front of the store that states ALL SALES ARE FINAL.I ask vendors not to put items in their booths that do no work. It is not good bussiness. There is a sign on the door to the business stating the hours are Tuesday thru Saturday 9:30 till 5:00. Because we are open these hours we answer the phone during these hours. My question is...Why would you continue to use a "microwave got so hot it killed itself" and then still use it? Wouldn't you realize at this point there was a electrical problem and not use it again? We strive to have a professional bussiness, keeping our customers satisfied. Larry and Tina P[redacted]Ownerstc Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)For one the "sign" at the front of the store is a printed regular size paper and hung with about a dozen other papers that wasn't seen until it was pointed out to me while I was under attack from the clerk. as for the hours thing I don't live in savannah. I live in counce (about 16 miles away) and so had to look up the number online finding it 1st on their fb page, where is stated that they were open on sundays. I informed the clerk about this when I was able to go back to the store. As for their "question" I did not keep using the microwave, I unplugged it after the lights came back on when I plugged it back in after the over heating and left it unplugged until the day I tried to return it. I have since been without a microwave since. I can't resell the bad one I got from them as I couldn't treat someone like that, so i'm stuck with a microwave that can't be used with no way to buy another. I'm still hurt and upset over the way my friend and I were treated and they didn't bother to mention that in their "letter". so I am still asking for the original requests to be filled by them . full refund of the price I paid I want an apology from both the business and the clerk, as well as $150 dollars ( on a visa gift card) to buy a new microwave.
