Ms. [redacted] grossly misrepresents the facts and overstates her case. Moreover, she has never actually requested me to do anything about the situation. The last conversation I had with her, she said she was going to have a mason come look at her front steps and get back to me. I said to her, "I will...

wait for you to call me back." I never heard from her again. To my knowledge, she called the Junk King customer care center multiple times, and pressed our call center operators to give her firm pricing for her items. They explained to her that they can give only ballpark estimates over the phone, because we need to actually see what she has in order to give a firm price. Our drivers will give the actual price when the arrive at the customer's home and see what the customer wants us to remove. When my driver and helper arrived at her mother's house, Ms. [redacted] was not there. Her mother invited them in and offered them iced tea or lemonade and invited them to sit down on the couch and wait for Ms. [redacted] to arrive, because Ms. [redacted] would be paying for the service. When Ms. [redacted] arrived, my driver told her the price for hauling away her two items - a large electronic console organ, and a large TV set. She objected to the price, so my driver offered her a discount to a lower price. She still objected to the lower price, and told them she wanted to think about it, so my driver and helper left without performing the work. About 15 minutes after they left, she called my driver and asked him to return, because she decided she did want them to remove the items at the discounted price he had offered. So they drove back to the house to perform the work. As my workers were carrying the organ out of the front door and down the front steps, two bricks dislodged underneath my driver's foot as he was walking down the steps, because the mortar was quite aged and crumbling. In fact, the entire front stoop shows extensive damage caused by age, weathering, decay and neglect. There are several loose bricks and a lot of crumbling and missing mortar. The steps have been neglected and clearly have long been in need of repair. It was not the case that my driver broke the bricks by dropping the organ on them - rather, it is the case that the mortar was so old and decayed that the bricks crumbled out from under his feet when he stepped on them. Ms. [redacted] is fortunate that my driver managed to retain his balance and did not fall and injure himself. I spoke with Ms. [redacted] a couple days after the work was performed - I don't recall the specific date - and I drove over to inspect the steps. I have several photographs showing the condition of the steps. I asked her what she wanted me to do, because it was clear that the steps needed more than simply replacing the two bricks that had dislodged. It is ironic that she accuses me of being rude, because she was quite aggressive herself and asserted that it was our fault that the bricks "broke" and that her mailman "was willing to sign an affidavit that the bricks were not broken before". I told her that it was clear that the steps were quite old and that the reason the bricks were crumbling was from weathering, age and neglect, and that really, the whole stoop needed extensive repair, as there was a lot of missing mortar and cracked bricks. She told me that she was going to call a brick mason out to look at the steps. So I told her I would wait to hear back from her once she had done that. She agreed. That was the last I ever heard from her. She still has never specifically told me what it is she wants me to do. She has complained and made various allegations, but she has never actually requested anything else from me, so I don't know what it is she wants from me, other than to try to make a problem for me.
