Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:i have no desire to continue arguing with this businessI never said I wanted matte cabinets They are in my kitchen I asked for a solid white cabinet nothing distressed or matteIF I had said I wanted matte then I probably would have complained about the glossy finish on the initial job, which I didn't, so her statement has no validity to it My purpose of this complaint is to have it on record since I've been blocked from leaving an honest review on FacebookAs displayed in these message, she clearly has no intentions of resolving this or making this right Regards, [redacted]

My employthe time-and I painted Mrs [redacted] 's cabinets the color that she picked out and sealed themShe was completely satisfied with the end result of our jobA couple of days later, she emailed me and said that some of the doors had yellowing on themI did some research and concluded ? that the sealer I used could have been the problemI went back and lightly ssand esand ed the cabinets that were affected and repainted the affected areasI waited several ? days before I went back with a Sealer to make sure the yellowing wouldn't reoccurAfter a couple of days I went back to seal with a different brand of sealer...a water based SealerDid not hear from Mrs [redacted] for about a week maybe so I assumed all was wellShe ended up messaging me again and ? said that some of the doors had some Yellow on themI did some more research, talked to other painters in the industry and they all said that I should just paint over it again and not sealer and be done with itI didn't want to do an incomplete job like that so I decided the best Avenue for me to take was to completely redo the cabinetsI went and took the cabinet doors off and took them home with me ? I primered the bottom cabinet bases and island at her homeI sanded down the doors, primered, and repainted the cabinet doorsShe asked me to come one morning to prime the top cabinet bases and I was unable to come that particular day due to a prior commitmentIt took me longer to repaint the doors than I originally said and I explained to her that it took longer because I wanted to make sure they were done correctly and there was no more issues with her cabinetSShe was not happy with my answers and complained that it took me a week to redo the doorsShe asked me to bring the doors back-which I had finished and was planning to do, but caught a stomach virus and was sick for daysI had my year old son that worked with me some take the doors back to herI made very clear and concise instructions on how to load the doors in his trunk, which he followedHe had a layer of doors, covered them, put another layer of doors, covered them, and so forth unail all of the doors were loadedThey were well protected in his car and they were completely scuff free when they left my homeMy son said that when he arrived to their house, her husband met him outside and started unloading the doorsMy son told me that Mr [redacted] stacked the doors inside the garageMy son offered to help him take him in the house and he was told noa little over a week or so later, Mrs [redacted] sent me a message saying that several of the doors were scuffedI asked for pictures and she sent themI showed thwm.to my son and asked if any of the doors looked like that before he left and he said noI asked Mrs [redacted] if they could have been scuffed in the garage where they were kept and she acted offendedI didn't understand why it took so long for her to contact me if the doors were scuffed when she got them back or why that issue wasn't addressed when they were dropped offHer husband looked at every door and nothing was said about any of them to my son While he was thereI did my best to resolve this situation but at this point there was nothing I could do to make her happyThe doors that were sent back were all painted the same color and all had the same textureI made sure that they were completely perfect before I let her see them again, so I'm not sure what she's talking about thereI never heard about that complaint until now.?

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I agree that I was satisfied with the initial job and it was done quickly and efficiently (and she was paid in the same manner) until a few days later when everything started yellowing? I was told that she used a new type of poly because the hardware store was out of the one she normally uses? There were several reschedules for the "fix" job? The reasons for the reschedules/delayed arrivals included the following (all of which I have screen shots of the conversations for proof): broken dryer waiting for the repairman, refinancing her house and got held up at the bank, school function that she wasn't aware of, son has strep, step-son might have broken his hand and finally - her husband wants to take her Christmas shopping so she can't come? She did end up coming that day for about an hour with her husband? Every time she came to fix the issues she was rushed so she could leave and do something else? I was understanding throughout all of this; not only of the delays but the issue itself and told her that repeatedly? I allowed her to take my doors for her convenience but the time commitment she made wasn't met? She did come and put a primer on the bottom half of my cabinets which created a strange pebbled texture (that's the texture I mentioned initially) but should couldn't primer the top half because she said the smell was too much for her to stay and finish even though myself and my baby were in the home and I was unaware that she was going to be using a primer that was that strong until the day of? At this point I was beyond upset ? and I asked for my doors back even though I wasn't sure they were finished for fear that they wouldn't be returned? I felt trapped into making that decision? The delivery of the doors was done in the dark (at night) and I was bathing my children so I couldn't come out to inspect them upon arrival? My husband unloaded them and said they were crammed into the trunk of a car all of them but he pulled them out and leaned them against our garage quickly so that her son wouldn't have to wait around but he then immediately brought them into our house and laid them on our playroom floor? At first glance they looked find but I honestly thought they were just primed and unfinished as they were completely matte and not glossy like I asked for and like the initial paint job the one that turned yellow so I didn't think to bring it up? A week went by and I didn't hear anything from her so I reached out to find out if she intended to finish the job or refund our money - I did not reach out to complain about the doors initially - again, all of this can be proven in saved messages? She mentioned the doors were finished and she just needed to come paint the bases which would take a day? This was when I questioned her on the doors and brought up the scuff marks? After a lot of back and forth where she told me that I should be thankful that she did what she did and that she didn't give me what she thought was a sub par product like her "colleagues" told her she should I WAS very offended that she would insinuate that my husband scratched our cabinet doors? I ended the conversation, left my recollection of the events as a review on her Facebook page and I was promptly blocked and she reported the review to Facebook? I have attached a couple pictures of the "finished" doors? There are visible brush marks and uneven finishes and bumpy textures - VERY far from "perfect" as she claims? It was a completely inadequate job in my eyes the customer completely unfinished and not at all what I thought I was paying for.? Regards, [redacted]

yes, I did have to reschedule due to the reasons Mrs*** listedHer being a mother herself, I would think that she would understand that children are a priority over everything elseAs far as Christmas shopping, yes, I did need to do that since it was the day before Christmas Eve and I had not done any at all, but I still went by her house that dayI didn't see the pictures she said she attached, they didn't come through, but the doors that I sent back had no irregularities or abnormalitiesI worked extremely hard to correct any issues she had, but the more I tried to fix it, the more issues she hadyes, the doors were in my son's trunkThere was ample room for them in there....probably more space in the trunk of his car than the backseat of my truck which is normally how I transport doors...but always layered and covered and protected just like they were in his trunkWhether it was dark or not, scuffs like she said were on some of the doors would've been noticeable when they were deliveredPrimer does stinkEveryone who has ever been around primer knows that there is an odor to itThe sealer I used the first time was a different brand than I normally use-hence the research that I did once the yellowing occurredI did speak with colleagues-not sure why she put colleagues in quotation marksThe people I spoke with are well respected in our field and have more knowledge than people who do not paint for a livingAs for the doors not having a glossy look like she wanted-that was never a request to meShe told me from the beginning that she wanted a flat look like what is on Fixer Upper which is what I gave herEven the sealer I used was a matte look and not a glossThat's a new complaint that I hadn't heard before
