I do not know what the response was as my pc will not let me view it. But I have sent the deposit refund to them, so I do not know what there is to reject?

My husband and I bought a GSP puppy from Jurgenson Kennels back in 8/2013. Lisa was very good about answering emails about the payment and puppy pick up promptly. The whole experience of getting our dog was pleasant, it wasn't until after we received the dog that it became unpleasant. When he was 8 months old, we noticed bald spots appearing on his neck. We took him into the vet and they determined he had allergies, but didn't know what kind. After thousands of dollars in vet bills, medications, tests, and foods, it was determined that he is allergic to pretty much everything he could be, including humans. Throughout this year long process we contacted Lisa twice, just asking, if she could please shed some light on the situation, just so we could save ourselves time and money, and also spare our dog the pain of going through all of this. I am very disappointed that we have to continue to spend a fortune on medications for our dog just to remain comfortable. He is an amazing dog, wouldn't trade him for the world, just wish I was warned about it, or saved some time figuring it out

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
On 7/18/14, we contacted [redacted] inquiring about a chocolate lab puppy.  Through e-mail correspondence, it was determined we would pay a $200 deposit for second choice on a chocolate lab male which was expected to be born in early September 2014.  In the last e-mail correspondence, [redacted] stated she would be in contact with us when the puppies were born.  On 9/24/14  and 10/2/14, we still had not heard anything from [redacted] and another e-mail was sent. On 10/15/14, we still had heard nothing from [redacted] so we attempted to call her and did leave a voicemail message.  As of 10/28/14, we had heard absolutely nothing from [redacted].
On 10/28/14, a certified letter (I have attached this document)was mailed to [redacted] demanding our deposit be refunded to us by 11/12/14 or we would be forced to take further action.  [redacted] did receive the certified letter as we received the signed receipt.  We still have heard absolutely nothing from [redacted] or [redacted]’s Kennel regarding a puppy or our deposit.
I have attached the first couple of emails (this is not all the emails prior to our deposit being put down)that clearly have our contact info.
I have also found on an other puppies for sale on breederclub.net. she was advertising to sell at chocolate lab born Oct 30, 2014 from her litter.
So all in all here, she has had our contact information. She is not telling the truth.
Regards,
[redacted]

I emailed the [redacted] when I found out [redacted] was not bred and have not heard from them since. I have chocolate puppies due soon. Deposits are non refundable but since I do not have a male chocolate puppy available at this time I have no problem refunding their deposit. That being said, I would...

need their mailing address since I would not be able to refund it through paypal due to the time passes since they placed the deposit. Had they requested their deposit back from me I would have gladly done so.

DO NOT BUY! A word of caution to any potential buyer do not waste your time or money. [redacted] is very unprofessional and does not comply with her guarantee. We purchased a pup from her in December of 2013 and learned he was born with congenital liver disease. We reached out to her numerous times via e-mail and phone and recieved minimal or no response. We spent thousands of dollars in vet/ specialist bills as well as medication and special Liver Diet food. We tried to keep her updated often. She was completely un sympathetic and refused to obtain the necessary information from the vet regarding his liver. This December our pup lost his battle with liver disease and his liver failed and passed away. The poor guy was only 13 months old! [redacted] is an irresponsible breeder and only in it for the money and not to better the breed. She failed to comply with her purchase agreement which clearly guarantees pups born with a congenital defect. Not only that, but she is breeding the same 2 dogs again! A responsible breeder would not breed the same 2 dogs known to produce a pup with liver disease.

Unfortunately we made the mistake by not looking up this "supposed" breeder before putting a deposit down on a particular breed of dog. After reading these complaints and doing research, I found out that not only is this fraud, as far as this is website a fake, but we we were victims of her fraud. The other complaints explain the EXACT experience we went through. She will email you when you are interested in putting money down and deposit your money, and you will NEVER hear from her again. BEWARE, and do NOT fall for this scam. I also ccap'd her and found she has a criminal background. I am now figuring out how to stop her from hurting others. Not only did we lose $200, but we lost hope of having a new family member, our kids were upset, and we spent a lot of time and energy on this NON exist ant company!

This is not acceptable. [redacted] has never requested a Vet copy stating it's definitely NOT from an injury, only to provide medical notes/photos & clarify congenital and hereditary. I have the emails. I did say [redacted] wasn't injured(she simply collapsed in pain while walking) Furthermore, my Vet, DR [redacted] claims she would have stated that in the Medical Notes. There was no need BECAUSE IT WAS NOT AN INJURY. Notes from the Surgery say, "Medical Trochler condyle quiet flattened,: removed cartilage which was too small to replace. Deepened groove especially medially. replaced patella. lateral embrication overlap to stabilize." The depth of the groove was clearly inadequate. DR did reconfirm that weight was NOT a factor in case [redacted] wants to dispute that. Also she was fed Loyal Brand puppy food as she recommended. Other notes from DR say, "Owner(O) had questions on what was meant by congenital Luxating Patella(PL). O requested further Documentation what I meant when I said this. I clarified for them referencing the OFA which states, Although the luxation may not be present at birth, the anatomical deformities that cause these luxations are present at that time and responsible for subsequent recurrent PL. PL should be considered inherited disease." Meaning passed from parents to offspring. In addition, there's been no strenuous activity to have brought this on, just simple walking for exercise. Deformed Patella could not possibly be confused as an injury. You cant fake bone growth. There is no DNA testing for this to prove for sure it is OR isn't hereditary but medical findings show that PL should be considered in inherited disease. DR says it is unnecessary to write further statements as her direct and to the point medial notes provided are clear enough. She didn't put in the notes about being an "injury" or not simply because it wasn't. If [redacted] wants verification of this she may call the office manager at Banfield Pet Hospital at ###-###-####. I have asked twice for [redacted] to provide written, verifiable documentation from her Vet (not just quoted) as she fully expects from me but I've seen nothing. I cannot take her word for it. I've also asked her, with all the dogs she's bred over the years she's never had any other health issues? No one has ever challenged her health guarantee? (very hard to believe) Again, she ignores these questions and requests. How can a health guarantee be offered when it means absolutely nothing?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
When we purchased this puppy, Jurgerson’s Kennel provided a Health Warranty that included the following provisions:  1) A warranty against all life altering genetic disease is provided for one year after the date of birth.  Should a genetic disease be discovered during this time that will greatly shorten the life of, or greatly alter the quality of life of the dog, Jurgerson’s Kennel will provide the buyer with a puppy of the same value…  2)  Additionally this guarantee covers any severe and/or life threatening seizure disorders…
Our puppy had her first Grand Mal seizure at 11 months.  We immediately took her into our veterinarian.  The veterinarian said that the seizure timing was consistent with the onset of seizures in dogs that are epileptic.  At this time (note this is prior to 1 year of age) we tried contacting Jurgerson’s Kennel.  I phoned repeatedly and my wife emailed repeatedly.  To date, Jurgerson’s Kennel has not returned one phone call.  Over the next 4 ½ months, our dog had 5 more Grand Mal seizures progressively increasing in duration where the final 2 seizures were over 4 minutes each.  We have continued to take her into the veterinarian.  Tests were run to confirm there were no abnormalities in the dog’s blood-work that would indicate a virus, diabetes, etc.  These tests all came back negative.  Since the puppy has had seizures over an extended period of time yet otherwise appears perfectly healthy, the diagnosis remains the same:  based on physical exam, signalment, history and laboratory results, [redacted] is presumed to be epileptic.
Regarding the following assertion by Jurgerson’s Kennel:  there are many causes of seizures such as trauma, toxicity, infectious disease, brain injury, encephalitis, heat stroke, brand abscess, tumor, heat stroke, poisoning, low blood sugar, or blood calcium.  These have all been ruled out  one way or the other.  My wife had cancer all of last year.  My wife never slept anywhere except our house.  The puppy never slept anywhere except our house.  From one year of age, the puppy ate all the same food and did all the same things our 13 year old lab did.  The puppy was NEVER dropped, mistreated, or injured.  The puppy stayed in a kennel whenever we were gone and still sleeps in her kennel every night.  She has never showed any sign of sickness other than the Grand Mal seizures.
One of the most frustrating parts of this entire experience is the lack of professionalism shown by Jurgerson’s Kennel.  We have reached out to Jurgerson’s Kennel many times for a dialog and have yet to have it.  We don’t want to give up our dog as the entire family is attached to her at this point!  The Jurgerson’s Kennel guarantee clearly covers seizure disorders, but they have been unwilling to talk to us about a proper resolution.  Interestingly, when we sent an email inquiring about a new puppy, we received a reply within 20 minutes!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, however I would like to add a few things.
We originally came to look at a different puppy, but our schedules were not right and we were unable to care for one at that time. She told us that an upcoming litter would be the same price (800) we never said that money was an issue. We had a price in mind, but it was the owner who set the price. We were not told it was REDUCED. When the litter was finally put online to look at, the price suddenly was 1000 dollars and higher. I have the e-mails from her stating that it was a typo, and that because of here horrible internet that she was unable to change it. What that says to us is that she wanted more for the puppies from other people and changed the price after the fact. I am only closing this complaint due to the fact that we did receive online information to register our puppy, but only after the Revdex.com got involved. Her communication with us was horrible. I believe she didn't take my fiance and I seriously as buyers and unless we were giving her money, couldn't be bothered to respond. If you have an issue with your internet, GET A DIFFERENT PROVIDER. If you have issues with reception GET A DIFFERENT CARRIER.  All of the issues you seem to have are easily solvable. I don't know how you expect to run a business like this and get positive reviews. Every excuse she ever gave us was that it was someone or something else's fault. She takes no responsibility for anything that seems to go wrong. We were more than understanding, but at this point we are done dealing with her. I will be sure to leave negative reviews for her potential customers to see. Hopefully they will not have to go through the same issues that we went through. I would NEVER recommend her or her business to anyone.

[redacted]

I am writing this letter in response to a complaint from [redacted] that refers to his dog [redacted] having seizures.  I have expressed to them how sorry I am for what they and [redacted] are going through and how much I empathize with them.  I asked them many questions because there are many things that can cause seizures.  The problem lies in that my purchase agreement covers seizures that are "clearly hereditary in nature" (they omitted that part of the guarantee in their previous statements to you).  Hereditary means "The transmission of traits from parents to offspring.  The hereditary material is DNA in the ovum and sperm, so that the offspring's heredity is determined at the moment of conception.".  My guarantee covers issues that are hereditary in nature because these are things I can control by either adding or eliminating lines from our breeding program.  In the letter [redacted] sent me that his vet had written to him on July 14, 2014, the vet states that, "Based on physical exam, signalment, history and laboratory results, [redacted] is PRESUMED to be epileptic.  There are other causes of seizures including infection, cancer, auto immune disease and toxin exposure.  Fortunately, these are much less likely in [redacted]'s case.  We would be happy to refer [redacted] to a neurologist for evaluation and further testing such as MRI to rule out these possibilities."  I have contacted two vets, one being at the UW in Madison, and they have also confirmed to me that there are many causes of seizures and that more testing would need to be done to rule out other possibilities.  They have not done so (I understand it is expensive) and therefore cannot rule out these other possibilities.  In another statement from their vet they state that with the first seizure they woke up to vomit containing pieces of a rubber bone they had given [redacted] the previous day.  In early June 2014 they stated she had five seizures within a few months (the first being on 2/4/14 and the last being on 5/19/14).  July 3, 2014 one of the vet statements states that [redacted] had not had a seizure in over a month and if I am correct has not had one since then (which I hope is the case).  It is now the end of Aug 2014.  This gives much hope that she may not have any more seizures.  It also makes me have to question if there may have been something that was causing the seizures.  In a previous email the [redacted]’s stated they fed Purina Puppy Chow and now Purina Dog Chow and Ole Roy Puppy Treats.  There are many consumer complaints about Ole Roy treats causing health problems in dogs, including head tremors and seizures.  There are also many consumer complaints stating the same for Purina Puppy Chow.  That is why my purchase agreement also states "The puppy is to be fed a high quality dog food which may include Loyal or Pro Plan puppy/dog food (unless a  different food is agreed upon prior to the purchase of the puppy and stated in this contract).  In regards to not returning voice messages, yes, we have very poor phone reception.  Also, I only communicate in writing when there is a complaint so that I do have everything documented.  That is for the protection of both myself and the puppy owners.  I receive a lot of email (including a lot of junk and spam) and I do sometimes miss some.  When it states "puppy" in the subject line it catches my attention so I am more apt to spot it as I am scrolling through the emails.  I am very busy and cannot always get to my emails on a daily basis.  I have also recently sent an email to the [redacted]'s asking when Brewester's last seizure was and if she is on any medication.  They did not answer either of these questions.  Most of my litters are third or fourth generation breeding, meaning I have had their parents, grandparents and great grandparents, because I know and trust the lines.  They come from some of the top lines in the US.  They have also broke the contract by feeding a food that was not listed and was not agreed upon.  I have copied and pasted my guarantee below.  If the [redacted]'s would answer my questions about when the last seizure was and if she is on medication I would possibly reconsider my decision if she is continuing to have seizures even though they have not proven at this time that the seizures were hereditary in nature.  I am in hopes that she is no longer having seizures.  But they will not let me know the answer to that.

The Condition of Sale:
The puppy in reference this contract has been born under the care of Jurgerson's Kennel. Many of the puppies from Jurgerson's Kennel will develop into dogs that are suitable for one or more of the following purposes: showing, hunting or breeding. It should be understood, however, that there is no guarantee at the time of sale regarding the future showing, hunting or breeding prospects of the animal. What is guaranteed is a good companion animal and family pet. All puppies from Jurgerson's Kennel are sold on limited registration unless otherwise arranged prior to completion of sale and noted on this contract. This contract is non-transferable.
Jurgerson's Kennel guarantees that at the time the puppy leaves the premisis, the he/she is in good health to the best of our knowledge. The buyer has THREE (3) days from the time of receipt of dog to have dog examined by a veterinarian. It is strongly urged by us that all purchasers do so in order to avoid nullification of this agreement. If at the time of the initial vet check, the puppy is determined to be seriously ill from symptoms that are undoubtedly the result of a hereditary condition (this does not include the presence of parasites), the new owner is to return the puppy along with any other accompanying information within two days at buyers expense if a replacement is desired. At this point Jurgerson's Kennel will replace the puppy in question with another puppy of similar bloodlines and/or the same color and gender should the buyer so desire, upon availability. This guarantee will be terminated immediately if the dog is not examined within the allotted time. A warranty against all life altering hereditary disease is provided for one year after the date of birth. Should a hereditary disease be
discovered during this time that will greatly shorten the life of, or greatly alter the quality of life of the dog, Jurgerson's Kennel will provide the buyer with a puppy of same value, chosen by the breeder, upon availability. All of what has been said above is contingent upon the new owner(s) providing a letter of verification from the examining veterinarian.
Furthermore, it is noted that Jurgerson's Kennel assumes no responsibility for this dog once it has left the premises. This includes veterinary medical expense, mortality, landlord’s disapproval, allergic reaction to puppy, family disagreement, behavioral/training difficulties, mistreatment of dog, accidental poisoning or trauma or any other reason not specifically stated above. If for some reason one of these problems should arise and you find yourself wanting to place your dog in a new home, we ask that you first contact us. Our main concern here is that none of our dogs under any circumstances wind up in the dog pound or other type of animal shelter. There are always other options and we would be more than happy to help.
Your new puppy is also guaranteed until it reaches one year of age against any severe and/or life threatening heart, liver, kidney or thyroid defects. Additionally this guarantee covers any severe and/or life threatening seizure disorders or ocular defects resulting in blindness for one year. Should any problem such as those mentioned above arise, that are clearly hereditary in nature, the owner is to contact Jurgerson's Kennel immediately. In addition to their written statement of intent to invoke the terms of the guarantee, the owner should provide documentation and any or all x-rays or other material from their veterinarian to Jurgerson's Kennel who will upon receiving them seek a confirming diagnosis from a veterinarian of our choice. Should the condition prove to be hereditary in nature and have a serious adverse effect on the dog’s quality of life, an exchange will be made for a puppy of equal value to the dog in question, chosen by the breeder, upon availability. This exchange is contingent on either veterinary verification of the dog’s euthanasia (for purposes of minimization of pain and suffering) or in non-life threatening cases a spay/neuter verification from your veterinarian.
Additionally, your new puppy is guaranteed until it reaches two years of age against severe crippling hip dysplasia. In an instance where sever crippling hip dysplasia is diagnosed a replacement puppy will be provided so long as the new owners take the steps set forth below in this contract. First of all the owners must immediately notify Jurgerson's Kennel of the diagnosis. The owner must then provide x-rays for submission to OFA (the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) and/or a veterinarian of the breeder’s choosing. If the diagnosis of severe crippling hip dysplasia (dysplasia so extreme that it prevents the dog from being a functional family companion and that surgery or euthanasia is required) is confirmed, a replacement puppy of equal value, of the breeder’s choosing, will be provided. This replacement is contingent on the owners providing a written statement from their veterinarian that the dog is not and has never been overweight for its bone structure and that no evidence exists that the puppy was overstressed or over exercised during this important
developmental period of its life. Furthermore, the veterinarian must indicate there have been no signs of abuse, neglect or past injuries that could be the cause of such dysplasia. In cases where the exchange is to take place and the owners of the dog to be replaced have chosen surgery rather than euthanasia, they must also provide written documentation that the dog in question has been spayed or neutered and has never sired or whelped a litter. It is agreed and understood that in all instances outlined above the only applicable refund is a replacement puppy. In no cases will there be a money refund. If the breeder feels the puppy has been the victim of an accident, abuse or neglect, the health warranty will be void.
The buyer agrees to maintain this dog in good health, provide routine preventative health care including, but not limited to, inoculation, internal and external parasites, and preventative medication. Veterinary records must be provided to breeder if requesting a replacement. The puppy is to be fed a high quailty dog food which may include Loyal or Pro Plan puppy/dog food (unless a different food is agreed upon prior to the purchase of the puppy and stated in this contract) and have fresh water available and adequate shelter. If any of the above preventative care has not been provided, or if the breeder feels the puppy has been the victim of abuse or neglect, the health warranty will be void.
Deposits are non-refundable. Jurgerson's Kennels reserves the right to first pick out of any litter for our breeding program. First come, first serve, first deposit gets first pick of litter, second deposit gets second pick and so on. Final picks must be chosen by or before the week the puppies turn 7 weeks old. We require that the puppy be paid in full at the 6th week.
When shipping is required, it is at the buyer’s expense. All puppies will have first shot, wormed, and will be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate if being shipped by air. Shipping fees include: air fare, shipping crate, health certificate, and travel to the Airport. If a puppy must be returned all shipping and transportation costs are at the expense of the buyer. The buyer agrees to maintain the dog in a humane environment and to properly train and care for the dog. Under no circumstances shall Jurgerson's Kennel be liable to the buyer or to any third party for any consequential, incidental, or special damages resulting from or in manner related to the dog. Upon receipt of puppy all veterinary care and its associated costs are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the buyer.
We have taken steps to ensure that your new puppy is healthy. Your puppy has been selectively bred for excellent quality, health, soundness, intelligence and good temperament. Your puppy has been on a vaccination and deworming schedule here. It is very important to continue vaccinations and a worming schedule for your puppy and don’t forget annual boosters. The puppy will need follow-up vaccination, worming, flea control, rabies vaccination and heart worm prevention as recommended by your vet.
As the Breeder/Seller I certify that the dog/puppy is free from illness and defects to the best of my knowledge. This agreement is valid only for the original owner and is non-transferable.

I have been in contact with [redacted] about their dog [redacted].  I am aware of the surgery they have had done.  All I need from [redacted] to resolve this is a statement from her vet in writing that the luxating patella is definitely NOT due to an injury and is definitely...

inherited.  The information from her vet stated on the report on June 27, 2014 that she "more than likely has a congenital malformation of sulcus, necessitating surgery".  I have tried to explain the difference to [redacted] between congenital and hereditary.  Congenital is present and existing from the time of birth.  Hereditary is the transmission of genetic traits from parents to offspring.  The hereditary material is DNA in the ovum and sperm, so the offspring's heredity is determined at the moment of conception.  She did have her vet send another copy of the Patellar Luxation information from OFA's website.  There is too much information to type all of it but in one section it states, "It can be present at birth or from trauma to the knee joint or ligaments in the knee.  This disease can  be inherited, and therefore serious consideration should be taken before breeding a dog with luxating patellas."  In another section it states,  "In older patients, signs may develop rapidly and may be associated with injury or strenuous activity.  It is possible to have a luxating patella on both legs.  This is most commonly seen in dogs that inherited the disease."  I understand [redacted] is not an older dog.  But she does have the luxating patella in one leg, not both.  I have spoken to Dr [redacted] at OFA and he said although it is often times a hereditary issue you cannot rule out injury.  That is why I ask that [redacted] have her vet verify in writing that it definitely is not an injury and is definitely hereditary in nature.  My guarantee covers issues that are hereditary in nature.  [redacted] herself has stated that it is but I have not yet received anything from her vet stating so.  If it is indeed hereditary I would be willing to split the cost of the surgery as she has asked, even  though my guarantee states I do not cover any vet bills for any reason what so ever.  If she can provide this to me we could have this all resolved.

In late August we lost our dog of 14 years. My family decided to purchase a chocolate lab puppy and we wanted to give the mourning process a little time. During our search we found Jurgenson Kennels - after numerous emails and phone calls that were returned promptly we decided to put down a deposit on a puppy that would be born in early Sept 2014. [redacted] was very quick to respond when the deposit was to be taken for the puppy , I decided to put down 300.00 instead of the required 200.00.
During the second week of Sept I began to email Jurgenson kennels a couple of times a week to check on the status of the puppies from the litter of Tess.
At the end of Sept I received a email from Jurgenson's stating that she had been sending out a mass email and had just found out that it was not reaching people. She stated that the entire litter had died but Tess was ok.
At that time I started to do some research on Revdex.com on the kennel and found that she has given this same excuse in the past.
I emailed the kennel to find out if I could get my deposit refunded and [redacted] said that she would be more than happy to refund the deposit.
Another week went by and no refund was granted and she did not respond to emails and phone calls.
Two weeks later she returned the email and stated that she was working on the farm and did not have time to reply to emails ( this is interesting due to the fact that she owns a business and returned emails within hours when I was putting the deposit down).
I asked her when she would be able to refund my deposit and she said she had to wait for other puppies to be sold.
Since that time until today 10/22/2014 I have not heard from Jurgenson's Kennel and I do not have my deposit back.
In closing - my recommendation to anyone reading this is TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS SO CALLED BREEDER. She not only broke our wish of a new member to our family , she stole our money.
STAY AWAY

Yes, deposits are non refundable. It states it clearly on my website as well as on the purchase agreement. I am not sure where they are seeing what they state they are seeing since it is not on my website unless they are looking at an old page. But I did refund the deposit even though I had a...

puppy out of a different litter available for them.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,

[redacted]

I received my refund, so I am satisfied.  However, it does state on their website that if you do not receive a pup of the sex or color you want, a refund will be given.  I was not offered another pup until three weeks after I learned the litter from [redacted] had died.  I do not know what pup she offered to me, because there were no pups of the color or sex I asked for on her updated website.  I was not about to receive any pup that I knew nothing about.  I was very specific when I sent my deposit that I wanted a female chocolate lab from [redacted]. I only hope that her communiction skills as a business woman improves  so other people do not have to experience what I have.

I put a deposit down on a german shorthaired pointer puppy in the end of july. The litter was expected mid august and it is now mid October and I have been unable to make contact with the owner since making that deposit. The puppies were to be on the way to their new homes at eight weeks. theres not much more that needs to be said.

I did receive the veterinary paperwork.  The issue is that there is nothing confirming the condition of the dog is hereditary in nature, which is what my guarantee covers.  I have spoken to two different vets, one being from the UW and they have informed me that there are many...

causes of seizures such as trauma, toxicity, infectious diseases, brain injury, encephalitis, heat stroke, brand abscess or tumor, heat stroke, poisoning (some causes of poisoning can be antifreeze, lead, insecticides, caffeine, chocolate...), low blood sugar or blood calcium.  I feel horrible for what the [redacted] are going through and hope they can regulate the seizures with medication.  But unless it is hereditary in nature it is not covered by the guarantee.
