Review: I contacted this company after hurricane Sandy to do an emergency tarp on my damaged roof until repairs could be made. The company then proceeded to bill me 1521.85 for the work and late fees. I contacted the insuramce company who requested a breakdown of the costs due to the extremely high bill. What my insurance company received was a hand typed email stating cost of materials $313.50, labor for 2 men at 3 hours each for $1158.00, and the remaining balance late fees. The insurance company made only a portion of the payment that were reasonable for a simple emergecy tarp, which totalled $580.15 for materials and labor, and expressed their concern for such a high bill. I also informed the insurance company that the workers were, in fact, not there for 3 hours as stated in the breakdown, but for no more than 1 hour. I also spoke with many other neighbors and friends who also were outraged. I believe this company is taking advantage of consumers during a hardship, and are price gouging customers in a time of need. I have also filed a complaint with the attorney general.Desired Settlement: Accept the amount alotted by the insurance company as a reasonable amount of compensation for the work done.
