The day of the wind event, the office lost power and cable for a day and a half, so we closed the office since the phones did not work without the power being onWe also have no access to email, if we do not have any powerDuring a wind event like the one that happened on March 8th, not sure what [redacted] had wanted us to do, it would have been very unsafe for us to even try to set a ladder up, let alone have someone go up on the roofWhen the office reopened on Friday,after power was finally restored, I personally went over to Ania's home, and to my amazementthe roof she said was blown off, was onI went back to my truck to look at the paperwork to make sure I was at the correct locationI wasI was happy to see her roof had not blown off.We have been in business for over years and would not be if we did shoddy work as Ms.Cordier thinksThe wind in the western NY area caused a lot of damage that day and there is no rhyme or reason why it effects one home, and not the neighbors home next doorOur position stands she needs to call her insurance company.I have also enclosed some email correspondence with Ms [redacted] Sincerely,Jeff G [redacted] President

We are a highly regarded company that has done good and honest business for yearsWe will defend our character and those employees that work here as good and honorable people. We are not and cannot be responsible for the Snowvember storm which dumped the most snow in our country's
history on our customers in WNY . This was tragic , catastrophic for some and life changing for those that lost loved ones. During this time we prioritized the damaged done to our customers , friends and relativesWe assisted friends and a customer who had a major building collapse at his very successful business in West Seneca A secondary building nearly collapsed and needed to be shoveled and shored up to prevent additional loss and devastation. This particular home was in the path of this devastating storm and as with others we prioritized their loss and we told everyone at the time to call their insurance companyIt was a natural disaster not a defect in our work this, is why we all have insurance. This was a low level situation and we awaited peoples insurance carriers , claims adjusters or agents to call us for estimates on repairsWe handled many people during this time and still are to date. The customers we had already contracted work with that were due to be serviced in some capacity graciously gave up their spots or time frames for those that were in need and we were trying to stabilize. We performed benevolent work on the streets and on the roofs in some cases The employee's gave up their Sundays in some cases to help our fellow community residents. Insurance companies had tens of thousands of claims from what we saw and heardThey needed to bring adjusters in from all over the country to facilitate all the claims actually called in! Many people were scared to call the insurance company for obvious claims because they believed their rates would go up and they would be cancelled!! Why do we have insurance if people are fearful to call when needed? The damage done to the leaf guards and gutters in this case was a direct result from the storm, from excessive heat loss, ice damming and build up then tons of snow sliding off in an avalanche and ultimately causing damage. This was not because we failed as a company or installerIt is an effect of weather and home ownership. We have made suggestions to the customer for their particular home and situation for them to consider and they are considering how to mitigate this situation in the future. We welcome inquires for our Superior roofing products and installationswe are currently taking orders for the summer of 2016.May this winter bring us peace and less trouble for all in WNY Thank you to all that have supplied us with business that allows us to sustain our familiesWNY has been very gracious to us for the past yearsBest regards, Jeff President and owner Just Barns Inc

thank you for taking time to mediate our situation with Mrand Mrs***.I have attached a copy of a letter I sent to them to get a resolution to their issue based on what they will make a decision on. Unfortunately at this point based on the caustic nature of their son with all of the
experienced crew members and staff here we requested him or anyone else to not be on the premises when we resolve their issueIt is their issue and not hisAnyone can inspect after we are done and off premises. They are very capable people from what we have seen! They still mow the lawn by hand by themselves! Not the son or grandkidsSimply amazing ! They have our utmost respect , gratitude and friendshipWe Love these people.We do not have a record on file of bad business practices and have worked for thousands of customers and performed and executed tens of Millions of dollars worth of work orders over the YearsWe have never been to court for any business matters for one dollar to dateThis is highly unusual in this overly litigious country we now live in. We are one of the good guys. We are awaiting the ***s desired resolution from the options we have given them based on our many years of professional experienceThis can be done if they are the ones to decide. This will be my last response. We have installed this product 3-different ways with the same results on homes with excessive heat loss. The resulting ice damning from homes not properly insulated and ventilated cause the ice damning and when the snow slides off it has removed leaf products , gutters , fascia trim , fascia wood or soffit depending on the situationAll installation methods have failed! In every case the customer has realized what we are saying is true and either submitted claims to there insurance company or paid the nominal fee to have us repair out of pocketNone expected anything to be done for free! Many have chosen to make the needed home owner upgrades we have suggested to mitigate or eliminate the profound reason for the ice dammingSome are unable to or haven't. The product works for leaves and in most rain eventsIt is no match for homes that ice dam Neither is our installation methods. We have discontinued using any leaf guards because we don't want future issues with call backs for circumstances out of our control.Unfortunately our customers will have to clean their gutters the old fashion way

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.This has been an on going problem sense they have been installed.It isn't a November Storm problem .As to Jeff has stated to youI have called them back in with the some problemand they don't call until they feel like calling .So I had to call *** *** and ask for help and had to send pictures of my gutter'sand they took a look at them and stated that they where installed wrong.Here are some for you to see Thank You *** ***

As with all metal roofs and this one as well they are permanent and will last a lifetime.If the roof and the small area that is in question is not leaking then we have found the problem. Unfortunately we believe it isthe ventilator made by [redacted].I have yet to contact [redacted] and involve them because my experience thru the years is that the manufactures let these thingsrun there coarse.I am not condemning [redacted] however perhaps there was a defect in this ventilator? very plausible however still actuallyunknownI am relatively sure if Mr and Mrs. [redacted] would just like the ventilator replaced [redacted] would accommodate this request.My original thought of installing "gable" vents and eliminating these suspect ventilators would be a much better resolution tothis small problem. perhaps you could ask the [redacted]s if the leaking has stopped since we removed the one ventilator in question?If the leaking in the garage area has stopped then we have the reason for why it leaked in the first place.We can take one of the paths to resolution we suggested.They'll have to decide if they want to resolve or litigate.Remember this started with a little leak after the horrible winter and has turned into the whole permanent roof has to bereplaced. It makes no common nor logic sense.Every other [redacted] customer installed in WNY is very satisfied with their choice and decision to go with a permanent roofsystem ..Some can never be satisfied. This is a fact of business and more so today than 31 years ago when I started this business.This may be a contributing factor to the fact that for the first time in our country's history there are more businesses going outof business than being created.I still enjoy th inking about my friends [redacted] and [redacted]. Good people. Good customer.
