Review: On 5/24/13 I went into the Just Fitness gym to cancel my son's gym membership because he had moved out of state and I was still paying his membership. All though I was being charged each month they told me he was not in the system. They told me to check with my son and see if he had his gym access badge. (I have a sick husband and a full time job and its very hard to find extra time to deal with issues like this). Needless to say my son did not have his gym access badge. On 9/9/13, I went back into the gym again and was told again they could not find him in the system. The finance manager on duty told me he would call the company which handles their billing to try to resolve the issue. He took my cell phone number but he never called me back . I never heard a word from Just Fitness. On 12/2 I called the gym and talked to [redacted] and explained what had happened in the past. She attempted to pull my son's membership up using my banking routing number which is used monthly to deduct $10.70from my bank account. After she could not find his number yet again, she got her manager, [redacted] to help her. After they could not find his account number they referred me to their billing partner, National at [redacted]; I spoke to Iesha and found that the acct was in the name of Taylor Williams (rather than Justin. ). I called [redacted] back, she apologized and faxed me a cancelation notice along with note stating that the membership would be cancelled immediately upon receipt of the signed cancellation notice. I signed the form, faxed it back and called Lindsey to confirm the cancellation request was received, which she stated she had it in her hand. Then, I called my bank and requested that no further withdraws come out. Now I am receiving past due calls and letters. I called the gym on 1/13 and today 1/15 and requested to talk to a manager; was told no mgr on duty. I asked them to confirm that my membership was cancelled; it has not been canceled. This is so frustrating!!!!Desired Settlement: I would like credit for my gym membership back to 12/2 as well credit to my sons gym membership back to 12/2. I would like a letter from the company ensuring that this issue does not impact my credit score. Thank you.

Review: I opened a gym membership at Just Fitness 4 U while I was a member of the U.S. Navy, stationed in Jacksonville, FL. I signed up for a 1 year gym membership contract, for which I was notified I need to let the gym know when I was ready to cancel this membership, giving a 30 day notification. I full-filled the 1 year comitment while I was deployed overseas with the Navy. I called the billing department located in Layton, Ut (Which I am guessing is a third party billing company for Just fitness) when the time had come to give my 30 day notification. I was told, I needed to HAND WRITE a LETTER via snail mail in order to cancel the membership. I let the billing department know that I was unable to hand write a letter, since I was overseas, and no mail service was available to me. I asked if I was able to verbally cancel the membership or email. And I was told NO! The Gym continued to collect the monthly gym membership, and would not come to a comprimise with me based on the fact that I was deployed in the military overseas. I wasn't asking for an early termination, or any special treatment. I full-filled my terms and agreement, and I was unable to write a letter. This practice was not outlined in any agreement that I signed or agreed upon.Desired Settlement: I would like a member of upper-level management to contact me, and verbally discuss how we can fix this business practice. Asking people to send a written letter is setting up members for failure every time! They are asking people to go into collections, so they can report this money to the credit bureau and gain additional funds.

Review: To begin, please note I have a prior address in Jacksonville, FL that Just Fitness 4 U had me registered under. It is [redacted]. Also note that as soon as I moved, all mail has been forwarded to my new address via a USPS address change request. My problem consists of a derogatory item reported by this business on my credit report. I was a member of the gym and paid every month via Debit autopay. The company then stopped taking payments from my account, so I assumed my contract was fulfilled. I found the item on my credit report in February 2015 without any notice from the company that I owed a debt or had not fulfilled my contract. When I attempted to contact the company to verify my account on my credit report and noted that I had not received any correspondence or phone calls regarding what was owed, the response I received was: "The creditor on this account is Jax Fitness (formerly Just Fitness 4 U). The membership detailed a commitment for 24 payments, and that has not been fulfilled. The account is now with Granite Law Group, PLLC. They can be reached at [redacted] Their phone number is ###-###-####. They will be able to assist you with the proper documentation necessary to complete your request, should further information be required."Desired Settlement: The debt is now with a creditor, which I will contact. However, because the company did not send any correspondence or contact me regarding outstanding payments, I believe this should be completely removed from all credit agencies they reported it to. If they had issues collecting, they should have contacted me directly to resolve it via phone and correspondence and I believe this is unfair to me as the consumer. I would have rectified the situation had I known. I would like this company to allow me to take care of this (with whomever has my account now) without punishing me for their lack of communication.

Review: I sign a One Year contract with Just Fitness 4U and their stating I sign a two year. My contract were to end 09/15/2014. I have contacted the Just Fitness 4U thru email and no repose. I have visited in person and called each time the manager is always out sick. The person who signed me, no longer works for Just Fitness 4U. Also I have asked for a copy of my contract and each time there is a prolem printing. I would like Just Fitness 4U to honor my ONE year contract.Desired Settlement: I would like Just Fitness to honor my ONE year contract.

Review: I want to cancel my membership with them due to the fact that they have closed the facility that was conveniently located to my house. But they want me to keep abide to a contract that they have failed to keep.Desired Settlement: I want them to cancel my membership and stop collecting the monthly fee for services that are not rendered.

Review: On June 3, 2013 we discovered that our fitness center in [redacted] had closed (landlord locked it). At first, we were told it would reopen, then that it would not. We went to a sister center in [redacted] considerably further away that would "accomodate" members of the Lawrenceville center and cancelled our membership on June 07, 2013. We were told (and on paperwork) that our final payment would be drafted on June 15, 2013 (I had no problem with that - 30 day notice) but, since we paid a month ahead, our membership would be valid until July 15, 2013. On July 01, 2013, they drafted a semi-annual "maintenance fee" for upkeep of equipment, etc... of $24 each for myself and my wife (total $48). When I questioned this, I was told that, since my membership was still valid, I owed the fee.I was told that, even though my gym was closed and would not reopen so would not require upkeep, I could use the other gym regardless of the additional distance involved and that, even though my final payment was to be on June 15, 2013, this is a fee rather than a payment. When I asked if anyone could waive the fee, due to the circumstances, I was told rudely that the law in Georgia gave them the right to obtain the fee and no one would waive it.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $48 maintenance fee.
