Review: First, my complaint against this business involves more than just a defective product, but it is my main concern. Other concerns involve professionalism & overpricing for a very lousy product. Upon receiving flowers from my husband on Friday February 14, 2014 I immediately noticed that the flowers were in poor condition. They were very dingy & the edges of the rose petals were turning brown. The roses hadn't even opened and were already dying. The next morning, the flowers were drooping & basically dead. So, I called the florist twice over the weekend & was unable to get anyone on the phone. I called again on Monday hoping for better luck & finally spoke with a manager. While trying to explain my concerns, he was continuously interrupting me, arguing & trying to make me to go back in for new flowers (the "exact same ones" mind you; I don't know how he knew exactly which ones those were if they were selling as many flowers as he claimed because I never gave him any specific details). I tried to explain that I did not need more flowers because they had already been replaced, in addition to the fact that I would not want to get "the exact same flowers" from them because they would just die again. After many snide remarks on the managers part, I also asked why they did not offer my husband any plant food as it usually comes with flowers and did come attached to the replacement bouquet. Very rudely he told me that they have a bowl of food on the counter that he could have taken "like takeout food" and also proceeded to tell me "flowers don't last forever." This managers professionalism was totally absent & he was unwilling to see my point of view, which is, if you are selling such a poor product customers are not going to go back for more "in the form of a replacement or a store credit." My husband tells me that half of the products available for purchase in that shop were dying or already dead & I can attest to that due to a prior poor experience.Desired Settlement: I am asking for a refund because the products they sell there are inadequate, extremely poor and overpriced. As I mentioned, I will not accept a replacement or store credit because the products they are selling are poor and do not last more than a day, and I would not feel right purchasing flowers for someone else with a "store credit" that I know will more than likely die the following day. This is unacceptable being that the replacement bouquet purchased on Saturday February 15, 2014 is still alive and well. It is extremely disappointing that $80 for a dozen roses last less than a day. The way to get customers to come back is to sell good products, not to give them poor customer service, in addition to an overpriced inadequate product. I feel strongly that the people involved with this shop should not be in the floral business if they cannot tell that the products they're selling are poor.
