First - It was almost impossible to get these people out to repairThey said they would be at my house to diagnose and repair the HVAC on three separate occasions before closing and they failed to show up or call to reschedule each time
Once they actually made it there they "repaired" the HVAC unit on 6/14/on a house I was closing on 6/15/The seller of the house paid Interstate $for the repair and not even hours later the air conditioning wasn't working properlyIt was degrees and climbing while the thermostat was set to I immediately let my realtor knowMy realtor calls the sellerI tried the entire next week to get anyone from this company to come back and actually fix the issueThey continuously told me that they would be there on a certain day and then just never showed up or called to inform meThe man who answered my call informed me that their van had broken down the day before, but they would be there the next dayThese are the types of excuses I would get from InterstateFinally, I had another HVAC repair company come out and diagnose the problemI emailed the report to Interstate and they replied that "We stand by our work but the mismatched units has nothing to do with us, and the compressor was working fine at the time of service"So, they basically "repaired" the HVAC unit just long enough for me to close
Timeline of events:
6/14/@ 6:pm - Interstate finished the "repairs" to the HVAC unit
6/15/@ 1:pm - I close on the house
6/15/@ 5:pm - I contact my realtor and send her a picture of the thermostat showing that the AC isn't working
6/15/@ 6:pm - My realtor leaves Interstate a voicemail, telling them it's not workingThey have no other form of contact so we are forced to wait until Monday morning to contact them again
6/21/- I was forced to call another company since Interstate never showed up
6/22/18-6/28/- I tried to get the home warranty to cover the repairs since I knew Interstate was unreliableThey denied the claim, calling it an improper repair
6/28/- I emailed Interstate the report of the repairs that needed to be done to have a functioning HVAC unitThey said it was working when they left and it has nothing to do with them
