I have spent well over $1000 at this hobby store from December 2013 to January 2014. I had a defective electric vehicle and returned it. I went to the store to return the electric car and the store clerk got belligerent with me. He threatened me with calling the police. There was no information about returning an item. I have not been credited for the $250 dollar item that I returned.Desired SettlementI want a refund for the price of the electric vehicle that I returned.Business Response Mr [redacted] came to my shop to but an electric buggy he purchased the buggy on 12/18/2003 a short time later he came back to my shop telling he did not like the buggy, the buggy was not defective as he stated above, we explained to him that the buggy had been used and our policy states that in order to get a refund or exchange the hobby must be in new re-saleable condition it was not it was dirty and had grass all over it. Mr [redacted] started getting loud and making comments he should not have to my manager he told him to leave or he would call the police. Mr [redacted] had the transaction disputed with his credit card company saying he did not authorize the sale after I sent the signed slip to the card company the reversed the dispute. Our policy is at our register for everyone to see. His last words were before leaving my shop I will get my money back and you have not heard the last from me. If the hobby had been in new and re-saleable condition there would not have been an issue it was not.Thank you[redacted] (Owner)Consumer Response Wow amazing response. Number one I did not raise my voice or say anything derogatory. The clerk did not even look at the defective buggy I had to return, It never came out of the box. I told the clerk that the buggy did not work correctly, and still does not work. I explained that the buggy was a gift and I wanted a buggy that worked or my money back. The buggy was in the same condition as they sold it to me. This merchant is lying about my actions in the store and the condition I returned the vehicle. My wife and 4 year old daughter were with me at the time I was making the return. The clerk was rude and unwilling to do anything to resolve the situation. The clerk said " This is not [redacted] you can't just return something" Its funny because the buggy he sold me is actually sold at [redacted] and they would return a defective item rather than fighting with a customer. Again, the buggy is defective, it will not run smoothly it stops and starts when the gas is pressed down. I explained this to the clerk and left the store before a confrontation happened with the aggressive clerk. I told him that I was going to contact the Revdex.com and dispute the charge for my return as I left the store, and the clerk made no attempt to rectify the situation after I said that. Final Business Response Sir:If I recall correctly we checked it at the shop and it was a low battery causing these symptoms. What we are willing to do is bring the hobby to our shop we will check it out if the buggy is defective I will get in contact with [redacted] to get the issue resolved, so the buggy is operating as it should, In order to get a refund the buggy must be in new resalable condition once it was ran that was no longer possible.Thank you[redacted]
