Just in Case Plumbing & Electrical

Just in case was hired. 10/18/2019 to do electrical work throughout my home, and add plumbing and electric for a new bathroom. Communication was terrible, deadlines were never met, service was horrible, work was not done correctly, and they used tools in my home without permission. Never gave advanced notice when they’d be out to the property, it was always a last minute scheduling. I was told numerous times throughout the project that if any permits were needed, I would be billed for them at the end of the contracted work. It took them until 1/16/2020 to complete the work. They installed 5 fans, 3 recessed lights, and then supplied 5 recessed lights and plumbing lines for a bathroom roughly 15 feet away from another bathroom. Site manager was fired mid way through the project, didn’t hear back from anyone at the company for 2 weeks, called the owner numerous times with no answer to get info on when they’d be out to finish the project. It was a horrendous experience. Since I was not billed for any permits I figured none were needed because as it’s stated on my invoice I would’ve been billed.. So that money was used else where from the budget. 2 weeks go by and it dawned on me I was never billed for any permit work so I did my due diligence contacted the local municipality and it turns out permit work was absolutely of needed! I contacted just in case and they said it’s my problem now and that they’d have no part in it. They never denied the fact that they did the project without permits which is illegal. After contacting the local municipality and explaining to them my experience and what happened, they helped me work through getting a permit for the bathroom. To acquire the permits it cost me an extra $400, and three things were noted in the inspection that Just In case did not install properly or to code. I contacted Just In Case to work things out, but they do not want to try and make it right, fix the problems, or work to make things right in any way shape or form.
