This client has been advised several times: Most recently upon writing the umbrella policy and later when calling in to my office after receiving his renewal-wanting to lower his insurance bill and inquired about lowering his liability limits, deductibles, etc., to save monwas instructed that in doing so would invalidate his umbrella coverage He was advised and educated on the minimum policy limits needed to protect the coverage provided by the umbrella policy Unfortunately, he decided to lower his limits regardless of this knowledge and in addition, apparently lowered the limits on his motorcycle policy that is with another carrier so when he later had an accident his primary motorcycle policy did not have enough coverage for the claim or to qualify to have the umbrella coverage I would also add that the [redacted] umbrella insurance policy declaration page clearly states the minimum liability limits needed to keep coverage
