Review: My son has a learning disability; therefore, he is an IEP student. The foI hired Just Kids Education Services, LLC as Educational Consultant/Child Advocate, will be referred to as consultant, to prepare use for the Special Education Due Process with the School Board. In doing so the consult, the founder, was to provide me with documentation, prepare an action plan and to attended IEP meetings as will as other meetings. The consultant attended all the meetings; however, the consultant never provide any documentation of the meetings nor did the consultant provide an action plan to measures our progress. Prior to our annual IEP meeting, the consultant informed me that we had all the documentation that we needed to go to "Due Process". After the meeting, the IEP teacher and the consultant agreed that my son needed private placement; however, the consultant said that they needed to monitor my son through the first marking period of the following school year. Basically, the consultant contradicted their previous statement by indicating that we were ready for "Due Process". Thereafter, the consultant sends me a bill for $900.00. I explain that the bill would be paid once the documentation was received. Thereafter, we exchanged several emails. The consultant's emails indicated that the documentation they eluded to was not prepared. The consultant further explained that the documentation provide by the school represented her findings. Then they threated me with their lawyer in an email. The consultants final email, on yesterday, indicated that they no longer represent my son. Meaning, although I paid the consultant several thousand dollars to prepare and to provide us with the documentation necessary for " Due Process", the consultant is refusing to provide me with all of the services in which they received payment.Desired Settlement: I want her to either refund me with punitive damages or prepare my son's case for a Child Advocate Attorney to take to the Special Education Due Process. I expected this to be done without any further payments/fees. I also want her to be available as a expert witness if called upon without additional payments/fees.
