First off we did repair the clutch assembly on March of 2015 on a 1986 GMC Boom truck. At that point we only replaced the clutch assembly, had the Flywheel resurfaced and a new sensor put in the transmission. There was no complaints on this Vehicle until October of 2015. Then it was towed back into the shop for repairs. After looking at the clutch taken from the vehicle it was determined that the issue was that the return spring on the clutch pedal had gone bad in between repairs and the driver did not report said problem and continued to drive the vehicle with the return spring bad. What was happening was the clutch did not disengage all the way in between uses and was keeping the clutch engaged constantly and burned the clutch pressure plate and the throw out bearing on the vehicle. Which caused the rest of the clutch go bad. when the vehicle was picked up by the owners we showed him the damages done to the clutch from the pressure plate being continuously engaged. As to this time we still have the clutch assembly and I have been having difficulty downloading and sending pictures of the burn marks on the pressure plate.
