Just Putterin' Around Reviews (%countItem)

Bud R was trying to get me to trade my golf driver club for a different club which I was slightly interested in. I did state many times to him that I was not confirmed on the trade. In good faith, I left my personal driver with him with specific instructions not to sell it as I researched the other driver.
The very next day when I went to retrieve my driver, Bud had sold my driver, even customizing it for the new owner by switching out the shaft and replacing the grip.
When I reminded him that I specifically told him not to sell my club, he overtalks me and says he'll give me credit. I don't want money nor credit. I want my driver back which he is refusing to return.

In closing...I stated directly to Bud R NOT to sell my equipment. Against my direct order, he sold my equipment at a profit and is refusing to return my original equipment.

When the customer traded in the golf club he had purchased from me for $65 months earlier, it immediately made it available as inventory on the floor. I have worked with this customer before many times and he understands our policy. I do not accept clubs from anyone without this agreement. It’s not possible for me to hold clubs that customers are just “thinking about” selling. Had he expressed uncertainty, I would have handed his club back to him, and told him to return when he was ready to trade it in for the new one. He never said, “Do not sell my club.” On the contrary, he asked me to hold the new club he was interested in buying as a replacement for the one he was trading in. We agreed on a $24.70 trade in value for his club. The problem occurred when he returned 2 days later having changed his mind and demanded his old club back. It had already sold by then, so I offered to refund the $24.70 trade-in value. He refused. Since it is important to me to have happy customers, I even offered him total replacement value (the entire $65 that he spent for the club months ago), but he again refused. I wish there was a way to remedy his change of heart, but he has refused all of my offers. It seems unfair to accuse me of wrong-doing when all store policies and prior practices have been adhered to, and I attempted to make it “right” to the extent possible.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:

Bud R’ response is truly indicative of his character and how he handles his business. He only mentions policy and money with no regard for the customer and their intentions.I’ve told him numerous times that I’ve been training for hours with that particular piece of equipment. He suggested the name and number of a golf instructor and I told him specifically that I would be contacting him (I do not wish to give the name referred in this matter so as not to imply any business association). I was really looking forward to the instruction with this club and having the instructor INSTRUCT me with which type of club I should be using. I wished to continue using this club with the instructor, not Mr. R, and I stated this intention of mine to Mr. R.

Mr. R didn’t mention in his statement that I told him I had the grip recently replaced in Thailand and he pointed out that it is now worn proving the number of hours I have been training with that club.I HAVE SPENT A LOT OF TIME TRAINING WITH THAT CLUB AND MR. R IS SOLELY CONCERNED WITH A PITTANCE AMOUNT OF MONEY. This is the character of an indignant salesman and one that will not advise me again.Mr. R lied in stating that I never mentioned not selling my club because he acknowledged me at the time of my statement by stating that the clubs will be behind his counter the entire time. Has was holding both clubs in his hand when I told him not to sell my club and he acknowledged with his statement of placing the clubS behind the counter.

There are other truly poor examples of customer service in this matter, especially this silly swing meter of his that I told him was specifically NOT indicative of my true swing, and his rude over-talking as the highlight. Mr. R has proven here that he is more concerned about the policy of a quick dollar profit than the experience of the customer’s personal game of golf. He doesn’t listen nor care about the golfer’s experience and is more involved with making quick business decisions for his customers. This is strong evidence here that Mr. R displays little concern about the customer’s stated intentions.

Moving forward, I ask that he donate any money he feels is considerate in this matter to a needy cause. I suggest the church that feeds the homeless of Kona. I ask that he return the receipt to the Revdex.com. This is my only resolution offered.

I have already moved to a pro instructor and am pleased with no further association in any matters with Mr. R.

Sincerely
