Complaint: [redacted] ***, Thank you for your response This has indeed been a long process I hope we can keep our photo album arrangement professional I can’t speak to any friction you may have had with anyone other family members - I just want to walk away from this with a wedding album for the most important event of my life, and hopefully a positive friendship with you Although Amanda and I have great memories, you are the keeper of the artistic representation of those memories; without your great photos, our memories will soon fade away We are thankful for your efforts at the wedding, and deciding to accompany us to Colorado to do this - we had no intent to “take advantage” of you by having you fly out Because that was an arrangement made with my bride’s father, I can’t make any other offer, but just apologize for any misunderstanding there may have been I can’t speak on behalf of anyone else and any friction you may have experienced with them - but I hope that I have been honest and respectful to you throughout the process If I haven’t, I apologize I feel like I have been responsive to your messages, providing you with our intent for how we wanted our album to look To clarify - we gave you a down payment of $500, selected a large amount of photos to choose from, and then trusted you to arrange them and produce an album using your professional, artistic judgement I did not intend to see the completed album first before we “like it or not,” or “accept it or not.” I apologize if that was what you understood I knew you would produce a great product, but just didn’t want to give final payment until we the completed album arrived; years ago, we were prepared to pay whatever the final product was because we knew you would make it great So, hopefully we can still move forward I trust you to use your creative judgement to select from the final photos to arrange them into an album according to what you see fits best, for the reasonable price of $that we originally agreed upon At this point, however, I can assume anymore risk of putting forth any additional payment until I see a finished, professional product that you produce with your artistic talent Finally, I hope I have never relayed any negativity to you, and want to maintain a positive relationship with you Thank you for your understanding [redacted]

Due to health issues, I had to close my business, and am still only a year out of the last back surgery I am now able to do things on a limited basis and am so happy to be at this level of recovery! I have spoken with them and we are on track once again [redacted] is an upstanding young man and I am happy to be able to work again! This has been a long drawn out ordeal. I agreed to do the wedding for free. I was happy to do that for a "friend". It was a strained trip between the families and I was somewhat pulled into that because I was staying in the cabin with all of the bride’s family. I missed almost an entire week of work to do the wedding, which is really irrelevant at this point because I chose to do itWhen you take a photographer with you, it is not the photographers place to pay for the trip, I was there working. Photographers charge for weddings even if it is somewhere else; that is my time and my expertise they are paying forOnce back it took a while to get everyone together to view the photos and decide. Many of my phone calls to them were completely ignored; they were away or they couldn't all get there. Which was fine. I just wanted them to see the photos. Once finally together, they decided on the page album for $750. They put down $because they knew it would be more than $750; they had only narrowed down the photos to between and hundred. After that I had some life changing things happen, of which I am not sharing on the internet. They did know that I had several major surgeries including back surgeries. This is meaningless now, but in the middle of my surgeries my supposed "friends" never came to see me or manage to even send a get well card The father of the groom did berate me however and acted as if this were not going on in my life. At that point, I backed away. The groom’s father picked out his photos and paid for his album for he and his wife and they received their album. Normally, a photographer, once photos are picked… makes the album. They were not sure what they really wanted in the album, and I knew they would not be happy with what I chose. They finally did narrow it down to photos instead of 60, and I told them again, it would be more than $750. They said okay. Designing an album takes time and creativity. They wanted to decide after the fact whether they liked it. Not to sound rude, but if that is the case then they need to sit with me while I do it. Albums can take up to hours to create, so changes are not really an option. Once a page is designed it almost has to be redone to change it. I have people call me to make albums all the time because they like my creativity. They also want me to do it because they can't believe what people charge to make an album.... Some have actually brought me their wedding photos from another photographer and tried to get me to do it for less than what their wedding photographer charges. Albums can start at $in many studios. My albums are actually designed by me, not drag and drop. I can no longer sit for more than minutes at a time so it is crucial that all the details are worked out. I still love photography and will at times do this for my real friends and family, but this is not my source of income anymore. My wedding packages include the album and/or the digital files The digital files alone are $500. There were upwards of photos during the trip. I most certainly want them to have their photos, however, I am not sending the album into production until the final payment is made. At this point, I would be happy to send them the digital files in lieu of the $*** *** *** *** www.***.net

This is a follto a previous complaint against the same business, complaint # *** which was closed in May *** *** of Just The Way You Are Photography has not provided my wife and I with the wedding photograph album that we contracted for in July The previous complaint detailed the agreement that was made, the $down payment that we provided, and the communications between us and Ms *** between July and May The previous complaint was closed when *** contacted me and promised to complete the production of our wedding albumDespite having a formal complaint filed against her, and despite promising once again to complete our wedding album* *** *** has not followed through with the agreement, nor has she returned any attempted communicationCurrent status: After filing complaint # *** in May 2014, *** *** contacted me by phone on 08, , and May in an effort to resolve our previous dispute, and promised to complete the Wedding album as originally agreedWe last agreed that I would review the photographs again and she would complete the albumDespite this, I have not heard backWe exchanged text messages between May and June 2014, where we agreed on which photographs were to be included in the album, and pricing arrangementsI checked in with her again on June 2014, and again on December by text, with no response to either messageI last treid to contact her by phone on November and December 2014, leaving brief voicemail messages, but have note received a return phone callI have also recently attempted contact via email on September 14, and via her business Facebook page on December and September 2014, and have not had any responsesSummary of last complaint: I hired *** ***, of Just the Way You Are Photography of Salado Texas, to be the photographer at my Wedding, which took place in June of I put down a $deposit so that *** could get started making our wedding album, and agreed to pay the remaining balance when we received the completed albumIn April 2014, I filed a complaint (# ***) because we had not received our wedding album, and *** had not provided us a reason for not having completed our albumAdditionally, she failed to return my phone calls, emails and text messagesMy wife and I REALLY want a completed wedding album to commemorate our event - but we see that *** cannot complete this for usSince *** has been unable to complete the album we want to be refunded in full, $500, for our deposit, and receive rights to her digital files of the photographs of our wedding, so that we can have a professional album made elsewhere
