The vehicle was brought in for a bad transmission. Customer wanted to go with a used transmission, did take time to find one. Then after putting the "new" used transmission in vehicle, found out that it was bad as well. Could not find another used one after removing so customer agreed to go with...

having her transmission rebuilt through the transmission service JV Auto uses. This all took a longer time than the every day transmission swap because each solution resulted in an additional issue that was out of our control, customer was kept up to date on the progress and was agreeable with everything at the time. The vehicle did also come in originally already with electrical issues which did take a long time to diagnosis fully. Customer did not want to put any more money into the vehicle after that diagnosis and estimate. We put in a new battery and tuned up the vehicle completely free of charge partly due to the long time it took to diagnosis everything and complete everything. Again, customer was kept up to date and was agreeable with everything at the time. The vehicle as well originally came in with a cylinder #1 misfire that could not be resolved unless replaced, customer opted not to fix. Overall the vehicle did come in seeming to have sat unused for a long time and the wiring inside the car as well as under the hood was in bad shape, and is a big cause of some of problems with the vehicle.JV Auto did do our best to fix what the vehicle needed within what the customer wanted to do. To compensate for the long wait time for repairs and diagnosis of various things, labor was not charged for actual labor done after the initial transmission problem that brought the vehicle in. JV Auto did not charge for any of the additional diagnosis' of various problems the vehicle has as well as for multiple services after the first time the vehicle was brought in for repair.We apologize to the customer for her unsatisfactory feelings but do feel that while, yes, the repairs and additional services did take longer than usual, the vehicle could not be fixed to the condition that we believe she has expected in any amount of time when considering the wishes of the customer not to resolve any other issues causing many of her vehicle's problems. JV Auto stands by the fact that we did try our very best to meet the vehicle's needs to be back in good running condition while also following her requests for which services were done and which options were taken.We do feel that a refund would not be a proper resolution since the services that were paid for were done professionally and completely while keeping her up to date. Only after the vehicle continued to have issues due to engine and electrical problems outside of the transmission that were not resolved by anyone here at JV Auto at her request nor paid for as part of any services done by JV Auto.Again we do apologize to the customer for her resulting unsatisfactory feelings. Thank you,JV Auto Repair & Service
