J.W. Didado Electric Reviews (%countItem)

J W was contracted by the previous owner to do work on our newly purchased house per the FHA agreement we signed. We needed the plug in the bedroom fixed, a plug in the bathroom fixed, and a plug in the closet fixed. These were the only plugs within the house that were working incorrectly or a fire hazard.
My dishwasher was working perfectly when the home inspector went through the home. However, after they completed their work, my dishwasher and an outlet on the same wall stopped working.
I called the company and requested for someone to come out and take a look so that they could fix their mistake.
Someone came out and assured us that it was the dishwasher, not the work they had done.
So I paid our home warranty $75.00 to have an appliance repair person come out. He assured me that it was not the appliance but that the appliance was getting no electric (knew it).
So I called again, and let them know what was going on.
I was told that I needed to get in touch with the previous home owner since they "did not technically do the work for us". However, from a legal standpoint they did because the house was under contract and fixing the plugs they did was part of us buying the home (i.e. we were not going to buy it if seller did not fix). Which makes the contract with both of us. I frustrated told them no because I do not want them coming into my home ever again because anyone who is this unaccountable does not need to be fixing a major part of my house.

Re: ***
J.W. Didado Electric, LLC was hired by Jason E to perform electrical repairs to his home.

These repairs consisted of the following:
- Adding a receptacle to a bedroom
- Repairing a receptacle in a closet
- Repairing a GFCI receptacle & adding a switch in the bathroom

All the above requested repairs/additions were completed on 10/5/18 to the satisfaction of the customer, Jason Elijah, and Jason paid J.W. Didado in full for this work.

J.W. Didado received a call from Kaylla W, stating that the dishwasher was not working and that she would like someone to come out and take a look at it. J.W. Didado went to the house and met with a man at the residence, not Kaylla W. J.W. Didado explained to the man, that in order to check the voltage and confirm power at the dishwasher, we would have to remove the access panel at the bottom front of it. J.W. Didado continued to explain that due to the flooring installation, removing the dishwasher access panel may cause damage to the floor. J.W. Didado was told by the man, who was present at this time, not to bother with it and that he would call the company that provides the home warranty.

J.W. Didado received another call from Kaylla W stating that the access panel on the dishwasher had been removed. J.W. Didado then offered to go back to the house and check for voltage and power to the dishwasher. J.W. Didado advised Kaylla that if the lack of voltage at the dishwasher was not caused by our companies performed work as requested by Jason E on 10/5/18, there would be a charge for our services for the dishwasher power repairs. Ms. Kaylla W declined our offer to return.

I am rejecting this response because:
The request to come out to the house to fix the error was not due to cost. It was rejected because the man I spoke to (I believe Mike) informed me that I would have to get in touch with Jason E in order to have any work completed on my house in regards to the work that had been completed. This I informed him was incorrect because due to the house being under contract and the sale pending this work being completed, the work was technically done for me and the "man that is not K ***" as the pending contract would have fallen through had the work not been done. Please see attached documents detailing the property being purchased was contingent on the electric being in SAME condition it was when the inspector came into the house. Because of the work you completed, the contract was breached and technically I could hand the house back over to Jason because of your screw up. I am asking for the $150.00 back because it was your negligence that caused me to have to spend it, it is not based on money, but based off of principal. One of which I feel as though you have breached. It turns out, that you caused two of my fuses to blow while you were working on the house, something that you could have very easily fixed without looking at the dishwasher. Or, had you simply completed any quality checks of your work whatsoever. It took another company a whooping 20 minutes to fix the issue, however it took me 2 weeks of dealing with you for nothing to be resolved.

As previously stated:

JW Didado was hired by Jason E to perform electric repairs to his home consisting of adding a receptacle to a bedroom, repairing a receptacle in a closet, repairing a GFCI receptacle and adding a switch in the bathroom. All work was completed on 10/5/18 to the satisfaction of Jason E who paid JW Didado for this work that was operational upon receipt of payment.

JW Didado Electric has no contractual obligations outside of Jason E for work performed and approved and paid by him. There is no evidence that JW Didado Electric caused any of these issues to an appliance we did not perform work on from Jason E. JW Didado again was denied the opportunity to return and trouble shoot appliance issues with new home owner (Customer).

Please remove this Revdex.com claim from your records due to the nature of payment and JWD's customer (Jason E) acceptance of work performed.

Thank You

I am rejecting this response because:Yet again, our sale on the house was contingent on the electric working and the house being in the same condition as it was when we signed the contract. During the process, J W broke contract by causing an electrical issue within the home. J W was given the opportunity to fix the issue, however, chose to blame it on the appliance instead of looking at our breaker box which was overloaded when the additional outlets were added. Though I understand that the company will not be granting my wish of funding based on the issues I have had. I request that at the very least this be added to their complaints and taken into account with their rating. Copying and pasting their response twice by no means gives me comfort that they will ever help another client that runs into an issue with them. Thank you.

If you need any type of electrical work done, this is the company for you. I needed emergency electrical work done and after waiting for two days for another company to just give me a quote I contacted J.W. Didado and within in 5 hours of my initial call I had full power back in my house. The first company I called came in 4 days later with a straight time quote that was $200 higher than what I had paid J.W. Didado for doing the job on overtime.. Make J.W. Didado your one stop shop for all electrical needs
