My Ikea order was delayed for over a week out of the Baton Rouge office of JW logisticsOn the day it was scheduled to arrive it was delivered an hour and a half after the close of the delivery windowI was never contacted by phone to let me know they would be late or that the order was arriving shortlyWhen the order was delivered, I received only two of the six items I paid for, and one of those two items was delivered incomplete so I couldn't even assemble itI called and left multiple voicemails and was never contacted except to be told that the rest of my order would be delivered todayAgain, I am missing items, and again, they arrived an hour lateSeveral of my items were delivered in a busted open box with the shipping labels affixed directly to them; there is still one item I have not received and when I asked for them to check the truck for it they drove away

This is regarding delivery of an Ikea order in New Orleans. According to the notification email I received, JW Logistics received our order from Ikea on 9/24 and I received an email that they would call in 2-3 days to schedule delivery. That call never came, so I called them on 10/1 and was informed that they had us scheduled for a 10/7 delivery -- two weeks after receiving our shipment.

We were to receive a call on 10/6 with a delivery time window, that call also never came. Called them on 10/7 about the delivery time and was told it was never scheduled for 10/7, that our call never happened (I talked to the same person both times), and that they don't go to New Orleans on Wednesdays (which they later contradicted by saying our order wasn't on the Wednesday New Orleans delivery truck).

Johnathon scheduled us for 10/9 delivery between a negotiated 9-11am initially so that we wouldn't have to miss more work waiting on a couch. The manager Johnathon also promised that we would get a call 30 minutes before the driver arrived so we could make sure to be at home. This didn't happen.

Called them a few times on 10/9 (including calls to Johnathon directly that were unreturned) and was told the truck was late, that they never promised before 11am (they did because I was unsatisfied that our order continued to be delayed and did not want to miss more work), and that we would get a call 30 minutes before the driver would arrive. Called them back at 1:15pm to be told that the driver had just told them he was on his way over and decided not to give us any notice because he was only "a minute" away.

Received a rude call from the driver 5 minutes later that he was at our house with no one answering -- he said he would wait 10 minutes and then leave. He hung up on me while I was explaining that we were supposed to have 30 min notice and I wasn't sure if anyone had been able to get there in time. Luckily he was either knocking softly or not at all because my partner was able to just step outside and see him. Some boxes were damaged but hopefully the contents are alright. Overall I cannot believe that Ikea contracts with this company or that such a willingly incompetent group of people continues to receive a contract.

To say that this company has logistical, organizational, and customer service shortcomings is an understatement. They hold orders until they feel like delivering them, try to placate by lying about when an order will go out, and ignore the delivery windows they provide. Living in New Orleans has made me relax my standards for business etiquette quite a bit, but even this was below that low bar. Please do not use this company if you have any other choice.

J. W. Logistics will not show up in the delivery window they provide or bother to call to inform you that they will be late. They also will not answer their phones while you wonder when they are going to show up. They also will probably not deliver all of your items. If they don't deliver all your items do not expect them to bother to look for them in their warehouse or call you back in a timely manner. These people should not be in business and I refuse to order online from IKEA again because this is the shipping company they use.
