Because late fees and certified mail fees are put in place by the Board of Directors, and not by our company, only they have the authority to waive said fees. If you would like to request a waiver of any of the fees on your account please put your request in writing and send it to our office for the Board's consideration. Good afternoon,We would like to respond by explaining that the notification of where to send the payment was included in the annual billing statement that was sent to each owner in November 2015, both in the form of a separate insert in the mailer, as well as on a return payment envelope that was...

enclosed.  The Association did not think it was necessary to incur additional costs by sending a separate notification of an address change.  When our staff took the call they did indicate that while we were sorry that she was in this situation, we could not be responsible for ensuring that an owner paid attention to the mail we sent, only that we sent accurate information with ample time for payment to be sent prior to the late date.  The late fees and certified mail fees are put in place by the Board of Directors, not by our company, so only they have the authority to decide on a request for a waiver.  If the complainant would like to request a waiver of the late fee and certified mail fees they simply need to put that request in writing and send it to our office for the Board's consideration.We will reach out to the owner again to explain the process by which a waiver can be requested.  Please consider this complaint resolved and closed.Sincerely,[redacted]
