Review: My car died in middle of road and engine would turn over but not start, mechanic I brought it to told me that reason why my car wouldn't start was because of transponder module, and he needed to replace that, and program new keys. I told him that I thought it was a fuel pump issue because car was sputtering before it died like it wasn't getting fuel, and he said it wasn't. He told me he would order the part, and a guy he knew would program the keys, instead of the dealership to cut costs. On day I was supposed to pick up the car I called at 4pm he said he was just about to call me because he had towed my car to the dealership because keys didnt take to transponder he put in, car still wouldn't start, and the dealership had to program the keys. He never called me that day to tell me he was towing my car anywhere...He then told me to hang up because he was going to call me on 3 way with the dealership because they needed my permission to program the keys. I authorized [redacted] to program my keys. [redacted] called me back and said Transponder mechanic put in was either wrong one or damaged because no keys would take, and asked my permission to get me a new transponder to fix his mistake, which I allowed. [redacted] then called me back to tell me keys took to new transponder they put in, but car still would not start, and after performing tests found out that the fuel pump was the real part that had failed all along and that the lines had to be flushed because it looked like it had gotten bad gas, that is why the car stopped in middle of road on me and wouldn't start again. The fuel pump was the real problem all along which is what I thought from the beginning. A few minutes before car stopped in middle of road I had went to a [redacted] gas station... I now owe [redacted] $2340 in repairs, and half of this bill is because they had to fix the mistake of the mechanics misdiagnosis for a transponder. I went to this mechanic asking if he would at least pay the fees to [redacted] that had to do with the transponder and I would pay the fuel pump fees, being that was the real problem all along... Mechanic refused saying [redacted] was trying to hit me up for money and he did nothing wrong even after [redacted] faxed me a letter saying that the part he put in was faulty, and fuel pump was the problem... Very bad businessDesired Settlement: I want mechanic to pay the fees I acquired from [redacted] that had to do with the transponder, or I will have to sue.
