K & B Engine & Machine

Brought a VG30DETT (90-96 Twin Turbo 300zx engine) in for rebuild an internal upgrades by K&B. Upon installation of the engine, the engine would not operate properly (wouldn't run, nor could timing be adjusted). After initial investigation, the exhaust camshaft was apparently damaged while at K&B with the alignment tab broken off the end (required to have the engine operate properly with CAS - crank angle sensor).Bringing this to K&B's attention, months went by while waiting for a replacement camshaft. However, after much time passed, I sourced one myself. K&B was unwilling to resolve and put the cam back into the car (with engine installed).I had the car shipped to a 300zx specialty shop in southern Ohio to get sorted out and found multiple other issues; oil pan leaks, VTC (variable timing) seal leaks, timing belt installed improperly and other reassembly issues. I paid over $2,175.60 to K&B for this work to be performed and ultimately, replacement of the camshaft and other shop resolving the various issues cost an additional $1500 plus transport of the vehicle to the shop (4 hours away) to get this resolved.I spoke with Kenny (owner) of the shop and requested resolution and requested that $750 "Assembly" charge and $300 for the damaged part I had to replace be refunded.As of two weeks ago, we came to a verbal arrangement that he would send out $300 immediately and the remainder within one month. To date, I have not received the promised $300 toward restitution.
