Under circumstances we have a no refund policy this is clearly posted on the wall behind our counter and is on all of our receipts including the credit card slip that she signedWe do Drs remakes for Rx changes at no extra chargeWe did this timesOn the last exam I did for her, the prescription was very close, almost indistinguishable to the human eye compared to her final prescription from the other doctorbefore we remade the 3rd final pair, I spoke with Brandee about that.we decided together that her main problem was getting adapted to the progressive multi-focal lenses that she purchasedso we put her in a lined bifocal that is extra wide so she could have a larger reading areaWe have another policy that she was made well aware of on at least occasions the first time was when she purchased the glasses and again when we remade them the last timeIts called a patient non-adaptIf a patient is unable to adapt to their progressive lenses we will make them in a standard lined bifocal at no charge with no refund on the differenceIf the patient wants anything extra, like a larger bifocal they would have to pay the differenceIn this situation her glasses frame and lenses with a standard lined bifocal (ft28)would be $She chose to special order a larger lined bifocal (ft45) the price of these would be $for frame and lensesUnder circumstances she would owe us $for that difference This situation is well beyond “circumstances”Since she was unhappy with my exam I waived the upgrade feeAfter she received her glasses she wanted me to pay for the exam that she received at the other place and give her the difference back on her glasses between the progressive lens price and the ftpriceOnce again Brian explained our policies, technically she owes usShe does not understand or won't listen to what we tell herBrian brought this to my attentionI spoke with her yesterday 06/25/I explained our policy's one more time and told her I was willing to completely go against all of our policiesAnd give her a refund on the vision exam which was $and I was willing to give her the difference back from the original $that she spent on the glasses and the $that the ftwith frame would have originally costThat is a total of $59.00.I have two options for her to choose from she can bring her glasses back and I will issue her a full refund $Or she can keep her glasses and I will give her $back

I live in Mexico and it is very difficult to find nice drapery material here So, I contacted Mike at Lakewood Upholstery after searching online (I should have seen the red flag when he didn't answer the phone until I started leaving a messageHe told me he screens his calls.) He told me he could get the fabric that I was looking for, for the best price I had foundWhen I asked him how long it would take, he said he thought about two weeks, but that he couldn't tell me exactly until a few days AFTER I placed my order and paid for it So, I paid, then waited for a week before calling him for a delivery date He did not answer my call I left a messageHe did not call me backI sent him an emailHe did not respondI tried again daily for two weeks Still no responseFinally, I told him I was going to cancel my order if I didn't hear from him by the next day He sent me an email back and said my order would be shipped "next week." I called and emailed him again, asking for a delivery date Still no response It is now two weeks later, and I still have not received my order, so I sent him an email to cancel the order and contacted my credit card company, as wellI learned something from this experience When placing an order online for a large amount of money, it is a good idea to look for reviews of the companyHad I checked the Revdex.com first, I would have seen another customer's review that had the same problem in June This company seems to take your money and doesn't ship the product So, I hope that this review saves someone else the hassle of dealing with an unethical business

I have had the same exact experience as the two other reviewers mentioned Almost the exact replica including screening calls and fake delivery datesThis happened in August through September of Very disappointing and I will be calling my credit card company now to report this as fraudulent

I ordered fabric from Lakewood Upholstery and it was never ordered or delivered Tried to send several emails requesting the status of the order, however, none of the emails were ever answered Finally spoke to Mike R*** on the phone and he told me it would be another week I cancelled my order immediatelyTHIS GUY AND HIS COMPANY ARE SUCH A SCAM!!!!!

On June , 2017, I purchased a fabric online from Lakewood UpholsteryMy credit card was charged immediatelyHowever, I never received the item in questionMultiple attempts to communicate with this business were made, but they did not respondIt has been months and I have not received the productThis has affected the relationship between me and my customers, as I lost a potential clientI simply want my money back after such an unpleasant experienceI was scammed by Lakewood Upholstery, and warn everyone to avoid doing business with them

I hired this company to reupholster my sofaThe work was done without incident although he did ask for payment before the work was completedI agreed to pay half of the laborSeveral months later I hired him to reupholster two chairs and ottoman I was assured the three items would be done by Xmas After several calls the chairs were returned but not the ottoman I was told it was because I chose a different fabric which was not accurate After multiple unanswered calls Mr* finally got back to me sssuring me the ottoman would be done From January of this year several calls were placed to him as I tried to determine the status of the ottomanEach time I was told the fabric distributor was delayed in sending the fabricThe last communication I had was March when once again I was told the fabric still hadn’t arrivedThis morning I called the shop and the message was “ the person you’re trying to reach is not available.” I went to the shop and it was completely empty

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I will be next week July 14th or 15th to return the glasses and pick up my full refund.  New Response:  The 3rd eye exam WAS different and that accredited/liscensed doctor stated that I would NOT have been able to see properly out of the glasses made by [redacted]'s perscription or ever "get use" to the progressive lenses that Northstar Optical made for me.   Because of the 2 inaccurate exams and what they were telling me I was afraid that the progressives were not the right option (nor would they have made a 3rd pair that would have been correct, even though the first 2 pair of glasses were made from their mistakes)  But I still have no idea because I never tried progressives that have the correct prescription.  I agree that they were begrudgingly trying to make me happy at that point, but I NEVER would have chosen the final pair of bifocal lenses if there wasn't the NO REFUND policy.  They made this seem like my only option.  With the execption of the NO REFUND policy no other policy information is stated clearly nor are their prices.  If Northstar's eye exams were accurate I would not have been in this postion.   I just wanted to see clearly and not to have gone through all of this trouble.  I do appreciate that in the end they are refunding my money. Regards,

We have another policy that she was made well aware of on at least 2 occasions the first time was when she purchased the glasses and again when we remade them the last time. Its called a patient non-adapt. If a patient is unable to adapt to their progressive lenses we will make them in a standard lined bifocal at no charge with no refund on the difference. If the patient wants anything extra, like a larger bifocal they would have to pay the difference. In this situation her glasses frame and lenses with a standard  lined bifocal (ft28)would be $99.00. She chose to special order a larger lined bifocal (ft45) the price of these would be $220.00 for frame and lenses. Under normal circumstances she would owe us $121.00 for that difference.   This situation is well beyond “normal circumstances”. Since she was unhappy with my exam I waived the upgrade fee. After she received her glasses she wanted me to pay for the exam that she received at the other place and give her the difference back on her glasses between the progressive lens price and the ft45 price. Once again Brian explained our policies, technically she owes us. She does not understand or won't listen to what we tell her. Brian brought this to my attention. I spoke with her yesterday 06/25/2015 I explained our policy's one more time and told her I was willing to completely go against all of our policies. And give her a refund on the vision exam which was $29.00 and I was willing to give her the difference back from the original $249.00 that she spent on the glasses and the $220.00 that the ft45 with frame  would have originally cost. That is a total of $59.00.I have two options for her to choose from she can bring her glasses back and I will issue her a full refund $278.00. Or she can keep her glasses and I will give her $59.00 back.
