8, 2016. Mr. [redacted] needs to considr th folowing: 1- There is not a time frame stipulated in the work order as suggested by Mr. [redacted]. We need to keep in mind the outside weather. In his claim he is saying that I was to complete the job in 4-6 weeks. We had some severe snowstorms in December. 2- The original contract stipulates that the job does not include painting. I believe this goes to the main point Mr. [redacted] is raising. After I started working on the project, Mr. [redacted] decided to ask m to paint the deck. Of course that means additional time and work. Since Mr. [redacted] decided to paint the deck, the nuts and bolts to reinforce the deck and the skirt around the deck needed to be installed after I completed painting. Mr. [redacted] refused to acknowledge that I would charge an additional $450 for the painting. Since he refused to pay for the paint job I have to stop working on the project. 3- The total cost of the project is $2800 plus the additional $450 of the paint. He acknowledges he has only paid $2500. 4- I am more than happy to continue and finish the project once Mr. [redacted] agrees to pay for the additional work that was added after our initial agreement. The paint of the deck is already completed.
