K C Water Filtration

I hired KC Water Filtration to fix our water pump and move the line away from neighbor's boat dock onto my property line. They said the pump and motor needed to be replaced and they needed to build a stand to keep the pump off the bottom of the lake. I agreed to the charges. Later, got a bill than had previously been discussed. They said there was some miscommunication between the owner ([redacted]) and his wife (an employee). They said the extra charges were because "it took us longer than expected and we had some problems getting it to work properly." I paid them in full over the phone via my credit card since I was at work. When I got home, we did have water to the house, however, the water coming out of the faucets was brown and the pressure was severely lower than normal. So low, in fact, you cannot shower in the master shower at certain times of the day, and if someone flushes the toilet, the water completely shuts off no matter what shower you are in. We asked them to come back out. They said they sent one of their employees by and "he checked it out…said it was fine. You may need to call a plumber or something." We hired a plumber and an outside water irrigation company. Both said there was some sand in the lines, but it had all been flushed out. The water has since cleared but the water pressure is still severely low. I was told the brand new pump is supposed to pump over 20 gallons per minute, however, I had it checked and have checked it myself…..and it has consistently only produced 7.5 gallons per minute. I have been told this is way under adequate for our size of home. I have called them numerous times, as my wife has tried as well. At first, they said they would send someone back out. They never did. Then, they quit answering the phone or returning any of our calls. I got them to pick up only by calling from a different number. His wife said she would again tell her husband of the "urgency", but again no return phone calls. I have since had to call another company to come out and try to fix the problem. They said KC Water should have come back out. They are going to have to likely pull the entire pump and motor out and possibly replace it…..hence, costing me large amount of money again. Am extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with KC Water's business practices. I feel I have been scammed over $2000….and have more to pay since I can't get them to come back out!
