years ago in August
A window package that included a lifetime limited warranty, that included a prevision to transfer some of the terms of the warranty to the new owner if the original purchaser sold their home AND completed a written request to transfer certain terms of the warranty for a fee
Regardless of any potential warranty transfer, the glass breakage of the warranty applies only to non tempered glass that becomes broken while in the frame rather than dropping a sash that has been removed from the frame
K-Designers previously offered to supply replacement glass or glass plus delivery plus installation at a reduced rate
Although this event clearly falls outside of the warranty (that may or may not be in effect) K-Designers will provide replacement glass for this loss, only as a goodwill gesture for customer satisfactionAny future warranty claims will require the customer follows the terms of their written warranty by contacting the manufacturer

We have almost finished the bathroom instalThere is a special order vanity that we are waiting on and the project will be completedThe customer expressed to us that she is satisfied with the work that was doneWe will keep you informed once the vanity comes in and is installed

Business states that they are currently in contact with the consumer and the issues are being addressed

Per our conversation with Mr***, his windows will be installed by Wednesday, September 10. We will let the Revdex.com know when its completed to customers satisfication

I am rejecting this response because:The installation job at my house was completed on 2/21/2014, not yet a year ago. I signed off as satisfied on that day as the installation was complete and the financial agreement demanded it. Negotiation over an interior paneling issue continued in spite of that sign-off, it was resolved months later and it did call for an additional lay-out of my cash to remedy it properly. The siding installation came with a full year warranty on the product and I had to wait until the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season for the "sound test" where my neighbors put up inflatable decorations that run motors day and night for weeks, buzzing through the walls of my house. That was when I knew absolutely that the insulation in the siding did not work. K-Designers admits that they sold the siding to me based on it's sound reduction properties. Other than anecdotal, where is their proof of the sound reduction properties of their product? Tri-polymer Injection Foam has a Sound Transmission Coefficient (STC) of 53, a sound reduction value of 70%. What is the Sound Transmission Coefficient of American Dream Premium Vinyl Siding? During the sales pitch, the salesmen were very excited to offer me a solution to my problem with the neighbor's noisy motors and other noises from barking dogs and leaf blowers. It was only because of their enthusiastic assurances that I would be happy with the sound reduction that I went ahead and bought the vinyl siding for my house

A few new windows were on order but the customer didn't know that, but they know that now and seem to be happy when we talked to them on Wednesday January 14,2015. The new windows should be installed by 1/28/or beforeWe will inform you once the instal has been completed and the customer
is 100% satisfied

I am rejecting this response because: We will wait to see what happens with the vanity to finish up the job. They sent the worker out on another project. If they take another three weeks to a month to finish up I will get a lawyer to take care of this problem

We are going to the customers house tomorrow to inspect the broken windows and take measurements so we can order the new glassWe are not charging the $inspection feeAnd will advise once the glass comes in and is installed

We have been trying to reach this customerHis voicemailbox is not set up, so we cannot leave a message, and we have attempted to call him several times since we received the complaintBelow is a copy of the email that was sent to him after failed attempts to call

We researched together the information from *** *** our Branch Manager in Portland Branch who is famillar with this customer. Our customer Mr*** had broken window seals on his existing window in addition to many other problems to his approximately year old windows when he asked us
to give him and estimate for new windows. He wanted to get new windows and signed an agreement with us. We met with him and spoke with him times before our installers arrived with our new custom made windows and he was very coherent each time. When we arrived to install our new custom made windows his neighbor Mr*** stopped our installer from installing the windows. Our manager *** *** spoke to Mr*** and Mr*** and agreed to cancel the agreement and accept $2,as a cancellation fee. He paid us that amount and both parties agreed to close this issue. All of the new windows are in our warhouse in Portland and we are unable to install them in any other home because they were custom made for Mr***'s home. We feel that we have been very fair with Mr*** eventhough we could have asked for even more recovery expense. No one at K-Designers has spoken to the person who filed this complaint, *** ** ***. If there is any other questions please don't hesitate to let us know

We have an installer at their house right now working on the bathroom

The customer concerns were addressed, and the customer indicated that they were now very happy

The vanity is on order, and we are waiting for it to come inOnce it has been installed we will inform the Revdex.com of the completion of the project as well as send the pictures of the completed bathroom so there is no more confusion

How has this issue been resolved? I have not been contacted and no solutions or options have been given regarding my complaintThis complaint should remain open until some type of resolution has been made, as of today 8/23/I have not heard from anyone at K-designersI don't feel it is fair to resolve and close a complaint when they haven't even contacted me

We are going to this customer's house in the next few days to see what the issues are and how we can fix themWe will keep you informed once we go out to address the issues and give you an eta when they will be fixed

We have placed this customer on our Do Not Call list and our Call Center manager is also sending him an email

We are in the process of making an appointment to meet with the homeowner to evaluate the project and property to identify potential solutions to the sound transmission concernsWe will provide additional details after we have met with the homeowner and evaluated the property

We inspected the project and can see that the leakage, which the customer understands, is not coming from the window, but something above the windowThe leak is coming from either the roof edge flashing or the the damaged metal siding above the windowThis home has no overhangs at the roof edge and the window is inches from the roofWe are going to stop by today to give her an estimate on siding the home, since we do not know where the leak is, and could be on the inside of the wall, and also suggested she get a roofer out to assess the roof to see if that is the problem

We have added this number to our Do Not Call list and also to our Do Not Mail listWe apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused
