K-Designers Reviews (290)

We have been in contact with Ms. Sullivan and are still trying to resolve this matter with her. We will inform you once any headway has been made.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. NO, IT IS NOT RESOLVED.
I...

have had one of their people come out and look at the problem.  He said it was a problem before they installed the windows,  Yes it was and in the contract I signed they have it written that they will fix the problem when they installed the new windows.  Now, the problem may be a J-Channel that is in the area where the window was installed.  I have had a roofer come out and look at the roof and the siding and he asked if the siding was mangled close to the roof above the window before the windows were installed?   I told him according to the pictures taken before the windows were installed the siding above the window and below the roof was not open to the weather the way it is now.   This window is a 2nd story window. No one has been at the 2nd story.

We have been in contact with Ms. [redacted] regarding the concerns described in this complaint. We installed insulation to all outer walls prior to installing the new siding. We have explained that the insulation would reduce the transmission of exterior sounds to the interior of the home. However;...

we  never stated or implied that the installation of new siding and insulation would elimate audible sounds emanating from outside. At this point it is very difficult to make sound reading since the insulation been installed for over a year. We will contact Ms. [redacted] to see if there is anything else we can offer to help further reduce the intensity of exterior noise that is audible while inside the home. Regarding a refund- We fully completed this project over a year ago and performed additional work which was no part of our original agreement. The additional work was completed at no added cost to Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] also signed a certificate of completion indicating she was completely satisfied with the project. Considering these facts we do not feel a refund is necessary.

We sent this email to Mr. [redacted]We apologize for any inconvenience our marketing program may have caused you, and have placed your phone Numbers on our internal “Do Not Call” list.   As well as adding you to the do not mail list.    Mr [redacted]  K-Designers is a...

I received your letter dated Oct 11 on the 19th. Due to illness I was unable to get to town to fax a reply and parcel post will not get it to you from here in 7 calendar days.Today I get your letter dated Oct 19.I am not willing to settle this complaint for $500.00. We are having some testing done on our own and I am going to contact my attorney for advice before settling for this small of an amount. [redacted]

We have been to this customer's home several times to flush her lines and the problem keeps coming back. Since this is a very unusual situation, we took a sample of the black stuff to a lab to get tested. The results came back that the black stuff is acutally feces with traces of roundworms. We have...

had the manufacturer call her as well, but she refuses the fact that it is feces and says it is our problem. We are trying to schedule a local plumber to look at the bath and the lines, to get a 3rd party opinion/recommendation. Once we have the plumbers findings, we will contact the Revdex.com with a plan of action to get this resolved.

THIS COMPLAINT WAS RESOLVED WITH THE CUSTOMER.

K-Designers made no attempt to solicit funds for Building Youth Around the World.Their use of the non-profit is simply to circumvent Federal law regarding unsolicited telephone calls. That's unethical. While I appreciate the removal of my name, what about the millions of others in the same situation? The response is unsatisfactory, without a promise to change the marketing practice.

We went out to the customer's house on January 28th to inspect the issues with the French Doors. The customer lives in a very high wind area surrounded by open fields, which is the problem. We have some weather stipping on order and once it comes in we will put it on the doors and see how it pans...

out. We will keep you updated once the weather stripping is put on the doors.

We will be contacting [redacted] on Monday 11/10/2014 and will let you know the outcome of the conversation by Friday 11/14/2014.

[redacted] has said the rebate check is coming from the front office, that he will send me a copy of the sales agreement, that he will contact the installer to...

finish the job, and that he will contact me Monday or Tuesday to touch base and let me know how things are progressing.  I will not consider this complaint resolved until everything has been finalized.

We are reaching out to the customer right away to come up with a resolution. Once we have come up with one, we will let you know as soon as possible.

I am rejecting this response because: The company would not approve the vanity we picked out.  It had to be ordered from the company and it would take about two - three weeks.  They did not want to order that vanity and they said it would cost to much.  So there is no vanity on order.  I said I approved of the workers job not how the company has handled the whole job.

We should have this completed by the end of next week. The rebate check and copies of the contract were sent to the customer. We will advise once the work is completed

We are going to meet with her next week to address her concerns. We will provide an update once we have more information.

I am rejecting this response because:I called to cancel a week before due to a family emergency in another state. Nobody answered business phone so I sent corporate an email and someone finally called me a day before. Extremely unprofessional company. I have no messages on my phone from them, if they are calling my office phone I'm never there.

We reversed the financing charges, and once that hits the account the customer will need to...

cancel the account and we can reapply in the manner that they want. We also reduced the contract price to nearly half and added additional work that was not in the original contract. The additional work should be completed by the end of next week, as well as the financing changes should be cleared up by then. Once we have a final resolution we will inform the Revdex.com.

The full refund was returned to [redacted] in early May. At this time our manager thought Mr. [redacted] was satisfied to cancel the agreement. They have not contacted us since receiving the full refund. We are now attempting to contact Mr. [redacted] to inform him that we will order the materials and complete...

our contract with him as originally agreed. The job will be completed in about 3 weeks. We will respond to the Revdex.com when completed to Mr. [redacted]'s satisfaction.

We are going to contact this customer and try to come up with a resolution as soon as possible. We will inform you the outcome

I am rejecting this response because:
The response is inaccurate because we have contacted KDesigners since they created this problem over 7 years ago.
KDesigners is taking responsibility for the incomplete project now after this complaint with the Revdex.com-California.
KDesigners' representative [redacted] said he does not have anything to do with the financing of it.
KDesigners' original manager claimed that there were two projects, which we would not have qualified for.
If we accept KDesigners' offer to complete the project and remediate the mold, we still are not happy,
because KDesigners mishandled the financing of the original contract by accepting $4,500 payment from [redacted]
now d/b/a [redacted], a creditor that we declined before [redacted] accepted the full amount offered from [redacted].
KDesigners' representative [redacted] said that they will not give the money back so that we can renew the contract with them.
[redacted] now d/b/a [redacted] and [redacted] paid them $10,000 before completion of the project worth only $5,500; and then began within 90 days to accelerate the charges to us, although [redacted] had agreed to [redacted]'s terms of 365 days/same as cash/no interest or late fees now totaling over $30,000, which has been posted to both of our credit bureau ratings, slandering our credit in the process.  We could not obtain a [redacted] account with [redacted] because our credit was ruined, even if the project had been completed to our satisfaction.  They are taking advantage of a disabled man's good nature and now will do nothing about it, but complete the project, remediate the damage to our home, and not restore our credit so that they could right this wrong they have left with us to fix, by not informing [redacted] now d/b/a [redacted] of their clients' declination of their $4,500 offer, because we did not have money to pitch in and make it $5,500 or by not informing [redacted] of the original 365 day terms their clients' agreed to.
If they are not in the business of helping clients obtain financing on terms that the clients can live with, they should only take cash-paying customers.
If they are willing to renew the completion of the contracted project of 8 windows, a storm door, soffits and remediation caused by the incomplete project, they should renew all of the terms of the agreement with the financing company [redacted] accepted and begin the 365 days all over again.  But [redacted] refused, and forces us to deal with the credit bureaus.
If they want to restore our very poor credit, they would have to make an attempt to settle with both the declined and accepted financing companies by first returning the money they were wrongfully paid by both companies, get these derogatory claims removed from our credit bureau files claiming $30,000 is 7 years past due, and then wait the 365 days to see if we can obtain financing for the original amount of the contract of $5,500 on our own with no help from them at all, instead of wrongfully taking $10,000 and forcing us to pay it back within 90 days.
