We are meeting with the customer on Friday 10am with another contractor to address where the leak is coming from.

We took care of Ms. [redacted] yesterday. We replaced the hardware, and did several tests on the lock mechanism, and everything is working fine.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Someone from the business is supposed to come and check the window Friday, October 10, 2014 and see what can be done about the problem of it not locking.

On rare occurrences the glass will come in with scratches that are not noticed until after the installation. We will check to see if we have ordered new glass to replace the glass, if not we will do so right away, it takes about 10 days to receive the glass from the manufacturer. But we will replace...

them to the customers satisfaction and notify you as soon as it is completed. Should be within approximately 2 weeks. We will also notify the customer right away.

Company states: We will need the customer's phone number to add them to the "do not call list".

Our two agreements with Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] clearly show that only (7) windows were contracted for in 2007.  One agreement was for (4) windows and some other remodeling. and the other was for (3) windows and more remodeling.  On Wednesday, September 24th (last week) we spoke with Mrs. [redacted] and we agreed with her that we would install another window for her now at no charge to help resolve their concerns.  We will be ordering the new custom window this week.  It will be made and delivered to us approximately October 15th.  We should have all the work promised to the [redacted]s completed by the end of October.
We will notify the Revdex.com as soon as we are completed to the [redacted]'s satisfaction.

We did have to re-order the door as it was too small. The new door came in at the beginning of November. We scheduled an appointment to do the instal and the customer cancelled the day before the instal. We have been calling her since and she will not return our phone calls. We called her and...

emailed her yesterday, again with no response. If you can get in contact with her and have her call us back, we would love to do the instal.

We have it scheduled to go do some service to resolve their issues on Monday 7/25/2016. We will respond to you immediately after

I have attached a signed completion certificate signed by our customer. All issues have been addressed. We are still waiting for their screen door to come in. The estimated delivery date of the screen door is December 23, 2014. Once the screen door has been installed we will inform you of the completion.

We initially entered into a contract with this customer on 3/24. When the customer called and emailed trying to cancel, it was over the weekend and there was no one in the office to respond to her at the time. Monday 3/27/17 we spoke with them and let them know that we would cancel the contract as...

they requested. They then called back to confirm that the job was cancelled, and we did re-confirm that we did in fact cancel the contract. There is no money owed to K-Designers or [redacted].

How has this issue been resolved? I have not been contacted and no solutions or options have been given regarding my complaint. This complaint should...

remain open until some type of resolution has been made, as of today 8/23/17 I have not heard from anyone at K-designers. I don't feel it is fair to resolve and close a complaint when they haven't even contacted me.

Review: On April 23, 2016, we entered into a valid contract with K-Designers to install a shower enclosure. The contract became binding 3 days later when neither party cancelled. Despite the advertisement on their website which promised "you don't pay until the job is done and you're satisfied," they took a check from us for half the contracted price. (Lie #1)

We were told that a rep would contact us in a few days to set up a time to take measurements. (Lie #2) When that call never came, we initiated the call and were told someone would call or come to the house within the week.

The next call that we received informed us that K-Designers were breaching the contract and would not perform the work. (Lie #3) They also said they had not cashed our check, (Lie #4) and if they had, they would personally return it to our home. (Lie #5)

A week later we discovered they HAD cashed the check. When we called about that, they told us to come by their office to pick up the refund. We told them that was unacceptable as they had promised to personally return the money.

At this point, we want the work that we contracted for completed. We never let them off the hook for the contracted work. As I understand the law, since K-Designers is in breach, if I get another contractor to complete the work, K-Designers will be responsible to pay the difference in price.

Before we go that route, we would like K-Designers to make this right and complete the work they agreed to do.Desired Settlement: Since K-Designers is in breach of a the contract, if we get another contractor to complete the work, K-Designers will be responsible to pay the difference in price.

Before we go that route, we would like K-Designers to make this right and complete the work they agreed to do.

We have already invested a lot of time with K-Designers, meeting with their sales rep and trying to get them to honor their word.

If we have to go with another contractor, K-Designers should be held accountable.

Response:

The full refund was returned to [redacted] in early May. At this time our manager thought Mr. [redacted] was satisfied to cancel the agreement. They have not contacted us since receiving the full refund. We are now attempting to contact Mr. [redacted] to inform him that we will order the materials and complete our contract with him as originally agreed. The job will be completed in about 3 weeks. We will respond to the Revdex.com when completed to Mr. [redacted]'s satisfaction.

Review: Window installation itself went fine. A question about our interpretation and the completion of the contract has arisen. 2 weeks ago, we spoke with our salesman and were assured the problem would be taken care of. Since then, we have received no return call, no action on the request. We left 2 more messages last week, still no response. They have been paid in full and that is a concern.Desired Settlement: Ideally it would be nice if the business honored their customer service promises.

We would like to hear from them & have the problem resolved.

Business

Response:

We did speak with this customer. The issue is that we installed sliding screens instead of full screens. We will be out there by next Friday to install the new screens by the end of next week.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: To Whom It Concerns,

This Co. is doing not so good things.Desired Settlement: If you can help I would appreciate.

Response:

This customer said that her uncle would need to approve the contract, which he did not. She said she could no longer do the work, so we cancelled the contract out. We have not done any work, but will contact the customer to write a new contract if she is interested, and if her uncle who helps her make decisions will also sign the contract.

K-Desingers is by far the worst company my mother and I have EVER had the displeasure of doing business with. we have purchased siding, fascia, soffits, gutters, and a garage door from them, each have had numerous errors with instillation and with customer service. Recently I have been visiting with Doug J[redacted] the marketing director on behalf of my mother, I can't begin to explain the how rudely and unprofessional I was treated. I was simply relaying issues the we have been having with our recent gutter instillation and he essentially told me I'm not a customer of theirs and my opinion doesn't matter and I have no business contacting them. Is this the type of person you would want to deal with if a parent or spouse purchased product from this company and you were trying to assist with remedying the problem? I didn't think so. K-designers has installed all siding, gutters, fascia, soffit, and the garage and when contacting the company they tried to blame defects on us, and most recently when I was visiting with Doug J[redacted], he said that K-Designers would "Not take responsibility for the shoddy workmanship of others" but would not answer my question when I asked who's responsible for the poor craftsmanship, when K-Desingers performed all of the installations. Additionally Doug has said that K-Desingers has bent over backwards to assist us with remedying our issues. Let me ask is it bending over backwards if you are correcting your own mistakes? I think not. Bending over backwards would have been taking responsibility for remedying the flooding in my basement due to their improper gutter instillation, bending over backwards is not blaming the customer for issues with the companies craftsmanship on instillation, bending over backward is not telling the family of busy working customer not to contact them because they are sick of your complaints of them taking advantage of your family and of their unprofessionalism poor work. I will do all I can to make sure everyone knows what a poor experience I've had with K-Desingers, how they've treated my mother, and how I've been talked to by their marketing director Doug J[redacted].

Review: We contracted with K designers in April, 2015. In June,2015 they re-sided our house. By Aug. we had to have them redo most of the project for failed installation. Over the winter more issues surfaced. We have been in an ongoing conversation with cooperate to try and get our house fixed. As we could not reach an agreement, we had the home inspected by an independent inspector in June. 2016. The siding installation failed the inspection in many areas. My contact at cooperate agreed over the phone that what the inspection revealed they would correct. They have now offered to correct only some of the problems, but the major issue that is causing ongoing water damage to our home they will not correct unless we spend more out of pocket. We do not believe that we need to spend more then we have already paid in good faith for this company to fix a problem that their own installer admitted was done incorrectly. The major unresolved complaint is that the metal fascia wrap that K designs installed does not go all the way up under the roof drip edge. It only goes about an inch up under the gutters. The inspector passed the roof and the roof drip edge as correct. The gutter installation is also correct. The proper way to wrap the plywood fascia with metal per the inspectors report was to remove the gutters and wrap the fascia to the top. K designers installer admitted to the inspector that he agrees, that was the correct way to do it. But, now K designs is demanding that we pay some one else to remove and replace the gutters so they can fix their mistake. At no point in the sales pitch or at any time in this whole process were we ever informed that the gutters would have to be removed independently. If the gutters needed to be removed, and K designers could not do that, even though their installer said to us he could, and K does gutter installation, then that should have been made clear during the sales agreement. It is K's responsibility to resolve this issue, without any cost to us.Desired Settlement: K designs needs to honor their guarantee and fix all of the issues revealed in the inspection, and any other problems that have been discovered in the past weeks. Our house needs to be sided correctly, and be made water tight and able to pass any inspection. Any damage that has been caused by the water over the past year needs to be corrected by K designs. We will not pay for any part of the repair and redo of the siding project.

Business

Response:

We have it scheduled to go do some service to resolve their issues on Monday 7/25/2016. We will respond to you immediately after

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:We fully expect K Design to come on the 25th, but we also expect them to do ALL the work needed to repair our home. The contract we have states wrapping all the fascia, not partially covering it. There is no and never was any mention of our needing to pay extra for gutter removal to make that happen. We want a finished home as we contracted for!

Consumer

Response:

Hi, I talked with you on the phone two days ago. I attempted to email that day. It did not get to you and I got the auto return message yesterday. I am sorry. Sense I talked to you there has been movement on my complaint. K designs has agreed to pay the repair costs as far as the gutter part goes. They are supposed to start work today. I have a partial punch list of planned repairs. IF they follow up with a complete punch list and actually do the full repair, I will be satisfied. If that happens, I would then drop my complaint with you but I would still like a record of this year long debacle to be on their record. How do I do that? Please respond so I know that this went through this time. Thank you.

K-Designers in Billings, MT replaced three windows in our living room and dining room. They were very professional from beginning to end. Our windows came in sooner than expected and were installed in one day! The installers were very mindful of our outside landscaping and the interior of our home. The clean-up after the project was excellent, the installers were very respectful and a pleasure to have in our home. The windows are awesome and I can't say enough about how pleased we are about the way the project was handled. I highly recommend K-Designers in Billings, MT for your next home project.
