Review: I have been trying to get hail damaged vinyl repair for almost 2 years now. Last year a representative from California called and told me that since the vinyl was damaged by hail we needed to go through our insurance company. At that time the damage was minimal and we were willing to pay for labor. The representative told me that we would be contacted by someone from probably the Denver area to fix the damaged vinyl Still have not received a call and on 7/28/16 our house was hit with a bad hail storm which did more damage to the vinyl on our house which I am sure insurance will pay for the damage. I have called the corporate customer service number [redacted] for [redacted]. The only thing I get is a recorded message saying leave a message and someone will contact you in one business day. Today is Wednesday I called Monday and here it is almost 3 business days later and no call. Needless to say this company has no problem taking our money but when it comes to getting hail damaged vinyl fixed good luck. I really do not believe this company cares, just look at the complaints. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.Desired Settlement: Please just do what your company is supposed to do and have someone who can replace the hail damaged vinyl contact us. I am tired of being told we will get a call and never do. The more K-Designers lets this problem continue the more damage to our home will take place. Thank you.

Response:

Our customer service rep [redacted] was out of the office on Monday. She was returning calls yesterday and today. She spoke with this customer this morning, and has already set up a service for us to go to this cusotmers home later this week. I will inform the Revdex.com once we have come to a resolution.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and so far I am happy that this issue is moving along. I will not close this complaint until all damages to the vinyl are replaced as it has taken way too long for this to be done. I do appreciate the call yesterday from [redacted].

Review: Have called multiple times over the last 72 hours. Spoke to several individuals and asked them to remove me from their call list, calls still came. Spoke to a manager named [redacted] who assured me I was removed. They called again, I spoke to [redacted] as well as an individual in their IT department who assured me there would be no future calls.Desired Settlement: I would like them punished for calling homes multiple times a day even after they were told to stop. Their rating with Revdex.com should be lowered.

Business

Response:

We had a new employee make a mistake, in loading our predictive dialer. She was trained, but didnt fully understand her training. As soon as we became aware of the problem we fixed it right away. This customer is on our Do Not Call List, and this will not happen again.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I was informed by [redacted] that they have every right to call my house and that it could take 72 hours to remove me from the list. She made no mention of a training issue with an employee. The second time I spoke to [redacted] she said it was an IT issue and put their IT person on the phone with me. He said it was an issue with their soft ware and that he had to remove the first 3 digits of my zip code in order for my number t be removed. So number one even without any issues with software, 72 hours is far to long when the system was calling my house 5-10 times a day. Secondly not taking their system down once a problem was noted is also an issue. I believe their response to be a complete fabrication.

Review: Too many to choose from.

1. The first thing is truth in advertisement. I was informed that they are the manufactures of their own siding. Not true

2. The next issue is mishandling of paper work. I had to resign documents due to the fact the incorrect paperwork was not returned to the office.

3. Incorrect billing. They were suppose to bill 50% at the beginning of the installation and 50% at the end. Well a month before any work started an associate arrived at the house to take measurements (even after the measurement were already taken by the salesman) and then that associate tricked my wife into initialing a paper that he claimed it just proved that he made the visit for the measurements, but in reality it allow them to bill the loan company, and then they billed the loan company over 60%, not the 50% they agreed to.

4. Customer service. During the consultation the salesman did not even have us choose the color of our gutters, nor did he inform us that the gutter colors they offered didn't match any of the siding that they offered.

5. Repair issues. 2 months later I have siding falling off my house. Contacted the installer, still no results.Desired Settlement: The company needs to fix my siding. The company needs to train their people the truth about their company and quit falsely informing consumers about their company and their products. They need to adhere to their contract agreements and follow through correctly will all of their billing. The need to clean up their paperwork issues.

Business

Response:

This is the first we are hearing from this customer after the completion of the project. He may have contacted the installer directly but the installer did not relay the information. We left the customer with a packet on who to contact if he needs customer service, we never tell a customer to contact the installer directly. We just called and he told us to call back this evening. So we will call back this evening and try to get this resolved as soon as possible.

Business

Response:

We are scheduled to go out there tomorrow between 10am and 12pm. We will inform you once we have taken care of this customer.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern. Although they were suppose to be here between 10a-12p turned out to be 3p or later.

Review: We received a call from K Designers and I have to say it was the most rude and unprofessional sales call I've ever received. When she first started telling me the reason why she called, I politely told her we're not interested and thanked her for her call. She ignored what I said and continued with her sales pitch. I repeated twice, she ignored again and again. I reminded her our no. is on the Do Not Call Registry and her response, 'well, we are registered with the state attorney office'. I again told her that I am not interested, and she responded, 'So I'll go ahead and put you down for 4pm next Saturday.' Imagine my frustration at that point. I questioned, 'are you not listening to me?' and she said, 'I think you should stick with this appointment because it's good for you.' Oh my god! By then I was furious and had to finally hang up. How can this company have a A+ rating while they are harassing people like this? It's ridiculous. I think the management encourages such behavior because other people have had similar experience and clearly it's still continuing. K Designers - Shame on you.Desired Settlement: Apology from the management for the rude and unprofessional behavior of their sales rep., disciplinary action against her, fix their sales dept., and a promise to not call me or other people that are registered on Do Not Call.

Review: I was told at the time of purchase somebody would be coming by my residence to inspect the finished product which never happened as well as putting a front door in that didn't fit after ordering two doors. The door which at the time I had no other option due to the damage that was done to my existing door after having removed it twice than to keep the ugly door they ordered for me. I have had nothing but problems with the locking mechanism since date of installation because it dosnt fit correctly and now I can't lock it at all and have yet to receive a phone call after submitting a work order on line. I will have to admit I thought the company was great thanks to the salesperson but the company hasn't followed through with any of the customer service guarantees I thought I was getting. It's been 5 days and I advised the customer service representative that my front door wasn't locking and still am waiting for a phone call five days later. I just want other customers to know that the product and the customer service dosnt turn out to be anything less than unsatisfactory and to please not believe all the positive information that you are told when your dooped into believing that this is an outstanding company not to mention have never received any information on the free cruise I was suspose to receive at the time of my purchase of a front door, garage door and all window in my hope. I'm calling this company a fraud and just want others to shop around before they purchase anything thinking they're getting the best product out there. Extremely disappointed in Stockton Ca.Desired Settlement: I would like a front door that fits in my door opening so I don't continue to be unable to secure my home which was never a problem with 40 year old door. I think replacing with a door like I had is not too much to ask considering I've only had it a year and had to call customer service 4 times. Who wants to buy a product that dosnt secure this day and age (not me) but I did and after spending $30,000 who can afford to buy another one (not me).

I have an update for you on this file. We went to Ms. [redacted]'s house and fixed her door. My production manager said that they filed the strike down, that it was too tight. Ms. [redacted] is now satisfied, and there is no new door needed.

Beautiful product. Excellent work done work by David.

Review: Vinyl siding installed on the front of our home in 2004. Around the planter and the column the siding has split, cracked, and some pieces are literally hanging off. I contacted K Designers and they washed their hands of everything. Not only have they been unwilling to return some of my phone calls, customer service agents give conflicting information. One says "lifetime guarantee" the other says "guarantee doesn't apply to me". In addition, they claim that because they have moved out the Southern California region, they will charge ME to send one of their repairmen down to my home to fix the broken siding. After sending pictures of my deteriorating siding, they came back with a quote of $1174 and that doesn't even cover the cost of the materials! I get it that there will be wear and tear but I feel K Designers should take responsibility for the poor workmanship when installing the vinyl siding near the planter and on the column.Desired Settlement: K Designers should cover the cost of the repairs to our home to restore it to the original promised condition. I'm willing to pay some money to show good faith as I believe wear and tear is typical but not more than $200. They should be responsible for the rest.

Business

Response:

We have an inspection fee of $125.00 to go to the home and make the inspection. [redacted] did not want to pay any inspection fee. This job is 11 years old. We asked for pictures to be sent and when we received the pictures they clearly showed that the siding had been damaged which is not covered in the warranty.

Review: We were told that our siding had a lifetime warranty for any problems. This was the primary reason we purchased from them. They are not honoring what we were told and said that the labor was only guaranteed for a year and the siding was only guaranteed for factory defects. This is not what we were led to believe from the salespersonDesired Settlement: The siding is sagging in parts and fell off in others.

Business

Response:

We spoke with the customer. We are going to do the service in 2-3 weeks and we have reduced the service fee to $150 which the customer is ok with.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern. They have not completed the work at this time, but after they do I will evaluate the work and review the complaint.

we love what k-designers did for our windows they look so beautiful now. [redacted] was the one who did our windows and he installed all of the windows in a couple of days. he cleaned up any mess that was made by himself, and was very kind and willing to answer and questions we asked.

We just had our bathroom remodeled with K-Designers. [redacted] was the contractor who completed the entire job. He was great and worked hard to get the job done, even though some of the work was unexpected since the work order did not have everything listed that the salesman had agreed to include in our price. Having purchased a fixer-upper house last year, the bathroom was a real disaster! I am happy to say, it looks beautiful now and turned out just the way we wanted. The price we paid may be more than if we had decided to contract out all the work and manage the project ourselves, but having [redacted] do everything that needed to be done, bring all the needed materials and supplies, and do it in a timely manner, was worth it. They also threw in 2 sets of shutters for the front of our house, which [redacted] also installed. They look really nice!

Review: I have been contacted by this company relentlessly for about a year. I finally had an estimate done for 6 windows in my older home in April but declined due to price. They have still been calling and when I said it was too much he brought the estimate down $1000. I still declined but then decided to have them do it. Even after agreeing I have been called back on two occasions and was told that they could beat that price and when I confronted the manager [redacted] about that he told me that these people didn't work for him and I couldn't cancel the order. I have the names of the two sales people that called. One was [redacted] and the other was [redacted] told me over the phone that He could give me $350 off the price for my trouble if I paid in cash but I haven't received any written conformation on that. My point is that I really don't want to deal with this company at all. I have been harassed and bullied to the point of submission. I had to pay a $100 deposit to start the order and I really feel pushed into this. I feel that they have been dishonest with me. Maybe they shouldn't have sales call after you have agreed and offer more savings. I wrote down their names and the company they called for but [redacted] said they don't work for his company. They are representing KDesigners. [redacted] the manager that I talked to accused me of lying about those calls. Like I said. I just want out. I feel deceived and bullied. This is coming out of my retirement and I want the fairest price. If their estimate was honest how can they call you over and over to offer you a better price.Desired Settlement: I would like to not do business with this company. I do not think they do things honestly. If I cannot get out of the deal I want the discount that the callers told me that they could do better than what I was already getting. I think the company needs to rethink their selling strategy. It probably not in their best interest to tell people they have already sold to that they can get a lower price. The calls after the sale finished my patience with this company.

Response:

My name is [redacted] and my complaint # is [redacted]. I have been contacted by KDesigners and have worked out a resolution that I agree with. I would like to withdraw my complaint.

The siding installation was completed in two days but would've been longer except they called in extra installers from another completed job to help, which was much appreciated. They had much to work around as my house is from the early 1900s and did a nice job, the house looks so different! There are a few concerns which I'm going to call them about - they didn't cap off the corners around the house and some of the bottom siding pieces are not secured tightly to the house and rattle if tapped. Otherwise I'm very pleased with the installation crew, they were all very pleasant and worked until the job was completed on the second day. I'm certain the concerns I have will be adequately addressed as they had no qualms about insuring my satisfaction.

Review: When K Designers came to my house and sold me on windows for my house, I was sold on the Lifetime warranty. If a window or screen needs repair it will be done free of charge. That they would have somebody come out here and fix whatever it is for free because of the Lifetime warranty. I call K Designs and said that my window has spots in the inside of the window and a few of my screens has holes and I need those replaced. I was told that it will be a labor charge for the window repair and a labor charge for the screens that needs to be replaced. I said to them I was sold on the Lifetime warranty that you would fix whatever it is free. I was told if a kid outside hits the window with a basketball and the window breaks that would be covered. If the screens get holes they would be replace free under the Lifetime warranty. None of that was true after calling to see about getting my window replaced and screens fixed. I was ripped off sold on the Lifetime warranty on the product and that is just not true at all. I paid over 10K to have my windows replaced and was sold on the Lifetime warranty. I would like to have my windows fixed and new screens as I was sold on free repair and replacement of product is something happened.Desired Settlement: Fix window with spotsreplace screens

WE SPOKE WITH THE CUSTOMER ON 9/21 TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUES WERE. WE TOLD HIM THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO LOCATE HIS FILE SO WE COULD ORDER NEW GLASS AS WE ALREADY HAD THE MEASUREMENTS IN HIS FILE. ON 9/28 OUR PRODUCTION MANAGER LEFT THE CUSTOMER A MESSAGE STATING THAT SINCE THE JOB WAS OVER 10 YEARS AGO WE COULD NOT LOCATE HIS FILE. HE SAID WE NEED TO SCHEDULE A TIME TO COME OUT AND MEASURE AND CHECK THE WINDOWS AND SCREENS TO SEE WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. THIS CUSTOMER HAD A 1 YEAR LABOR WARRANTY, SO WHEN HE ORIGINALLY CALLED WE DID QUOTE HIM A FEE FOR THE LABOR, HOWEVER, WE ARE NOT CHARGING A FEE TO THIS CUSTOMER. OUR PRODUCTION MANAGER IS GOING TO GIVE HIM A CALL AGAIN TODAY TO TRY TO GET THIS SCHEDULED SO WE CAN FIX HIS WINDOWS AND SCREENS, AND REPLACE THEM IF NECESSARY. ONCE WE HAVE A DATE AND TIME SCHEDULED WE WILL ADVISE.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I recently had two windows replaced and was impressed with the professionalism of K-Designer's installer, Desmond. He was very helpful and walked me through his installation paying attention to detail.

The windows are quieter and better insulators than my last for sure. Overall very happy with the service and windows.

We were intending to replace only 4 windows but were so impressed with the windows that we replaced all of our windows, The representative was great to work with and presented himself well. The installer was prompt professional and cleaned up after the job. over all everything was much better than we expected. The windows look great and we can already feel a big difference in the thermal quality of the house. Sun is always a large factor in keeping the house cool in the summer. The windows have really helped the house to maintain temperature just as the sails man said. We have already noticed a change in utilities cost. We recommend these windows and K-designers to anyone needing new windows. We can't express how happy we are with this entire experience. Thank you K-designers.

Review: My phone number is on the national Do Not Call list, and I have no pre-existing business relationship with this company. Nonetheless, I received a call from a [redacted] on behalf of K-Designers Home Improvement Center seeking to sell me services. This call occurred on October 22, 2015 at 3:24 p.m. CDT. Upon inquiry, [redacted] indicated that the company's phone number is [redacted]. He seemed unaware that calling me in this manner violates the law that established the Do Not Call list. I object to receiving intrusive, unsolicited, and illegal phone calls of this sort.Desired Settlement: I would like an acknowledgement from the company that they are selling/advertising in this illegal manner and a pledge to discontinue the practice.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: Your claiming to be a charity makes no sense with regard to the call that I received. I was offered home improvement services in what seemed like a commercial business manner, and thus the call should have been prohibited under the Do Not Call registry rules.

Review: The company does not return my calls. I have called multiple times to get the rest of the work scheduled from my home. The work was only partly done in the first place.

I started working with one Marketing Director who promised many things but didn't put the promises in the contract. Once the workers came they only did part of the work that was stated in the contract.

Apparently the marketing director who first sold us the services quit the company. We have since been given a new marketing director who has not retuned our calls. In fact, I have talked to the production manager and an assistant and they have both told me a similar tale: I will leave a message, but if we don't get back to you please call back in a week. It has now been three months of calling back every few weeks to try and get in touch with the Marketer and the Production Manager to get the rest of the work scheduled.Desired Settlement: We need to have the job finished to what was promised or at least what was in the contract.

They have already received their payment so I worry that they will not honor the rest of the contract.

Business

Response:

We spoke with this customers, they need 4 door wraps and hardware for the garage door, which we will have completed by next week.

I am very happy with the new siding on my house. It has made my house look new and I have had many nice complements.

The installers were very professional.

I received a very competitive bid on vinyl siding from K-Designers and decided to have the work done by them. Not only were the construction crew of 4 men dedicated to this company, but they also worked well together, were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. It took a week to complete and I cannot overstate their attention to detail. I found only 1 problem after the work was completed, but it was immediately taken care of with one phone call to their production manager. It was a pleasure doing business with K-Designers and would not hesitate to recommend them or to have them back for further projects on my home. My home looks amazing with the new siding. I couldn't be happier!

Review: I signed with K Designers for 8 windows and a sliding glass door on 09/30/2015. The installers arrived 11/01/2015 but, due to an error in measuring, they were missing one of the windows. When the available windows and door were installed, [redacted] at the Billings, MT office, requested that I sign off on the agreement in order to receive the promised discounts. In exchange for signing, [redacted] stated he would make my first loan payment and send me a rebate for the missing window the next day. He also stated he would [redacted] the window to my home when it was ready and call the installers to come put it in. I received no checks and no window. The installer came 12/21/2015 with the window but did not have enough material to finish the outside. He said he would be back to finish the job after the first of the year. I called [redacted] to advise of the situation and he said he would [redacted] a box of the material to my home immediately and contact the installer to finish the job. I asked about the checks and was told he had sent the "first" payment and would check with his secretary about the rebate check. I finally got the "first" payment in time to make the third loan payment. I have yet to receive the rebate or the construction material and the job has yet to be completed. [redacted] does not follow through on his promises despite the fact that I did him a favor by signing off on the agreement with the expectation that I was dealing with an honest, reputable businessman that appreciated the positive word of mouth I could deliver to support his business and entice potential customers. Additionally, I was not given a copy of the sales agreement at the time I signed. I thought this was an oversight but have never received a copy despite multiple requests.Desired Settlement: I want the job finished, a copy of the sales agreement for tax purposes, and the promised rebate.

Business

Response:

We have left 2 messages for this customer since yesterday. We will continue to try to reach him and inform you of the resolution we come to.

Consumer

Response:

[redacted] has said the rebate check is coming from the front office, that he will send me a copy of the sales agreement, that he will contact the installer to finish the job, and that he will contact me Monday or Tuesday to touch base and let me know how things are progressing. I will not consider this complaint resolved until everything has been finalized.

Business

Response:

We should have this completed by the end of next week. The rebate check and copies of the contract were sent to the customer. We will advise once the work is completed

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I will notify you when the work has been completed on the window or if it has not been completed by the end of this week as they have indicated.
