Review: on 6/12/2013 visited somerset location, they charged additional $800 for the service never performed, I tried many times, their office never refunded $800. I had requested many times to provide itemized bill for the visits, they never provided. They filed multiple claims with insurance company for the same service, I reported this to insurance company and they are investigating fraudulent claims. I am looking to resolve this issue (1). itemized bill for my visits on 5/15/2013, 6/12/2013, 7/1/2013, and 7/31/2013. (2). refund of $800 from the amount paid on 6/12/2013. People involved Dr [redacted], and her staff [redacted] at somerset KK dental.

I am looking this as last step in recovering the refund $800, if they fail to refund-i am left with final choice- I will sue them immediately.

Review: I was a new patient at KK Dental and visited both the Edison and New Brunswick offices. I was told that I needed a lot of work. At first, I was amazed that all of the dentist I saw found different problems that needed to be addressed immediately. I had a regular exam and cleaning, wisdom tooth extraction, root canal, and a crown put in.

Before all these services, I received a print-out listing all the services needed and the associated pricing, which included my out-of-pocket costs. After each service, I was charged a double the quoted price. With frustration, I paid what they said I owed each time. On the last visit, I asked once more about the final balance, and paid what I was told I owed. The billing specialist [redacted] said I was paid in full, and would not have to pay anything more. So, imagine my surprise when I received a bill 2 months after services stating that I still owed $1,168.30. Our insurance only covers $2000/year, so if I was quoted the correct pricing for the services, I would have waited on some of them until next year.

Upon further investigation my client who is also a dentist said they should have never proceeded past the coverage cost without my permission. It's such a shame too, because the dentists are very understanding of patient concerns regarding pain management, and they do great work. Also, I checked the claims made to my insurance and found errors. There was a double charge that my insurer removed. Also, I was overcharged by $174 in total.

However, since a review I posted, I was contacted via phone by KK Dental to resolve the billing issue, but things got worse. I spoke to [redacted] to discuss the issue, but I was treated unprofessionally. She placed me on hold for over 3 minutes and then repeatedly interrupted me and talked over me. She called me "rude." I told her that I was no longer interested in being a patient and her response was "so?" This place is unprofessional and the billing department is all over the place.Desired Settlement: I would like the billing department to review the pricing for my services to verify the charges. The total billed to me was $1168.30 but after I checked against my insurance claims and credit card statements, the bill should be $994.30. This is a difference of $174. I would like this balance adjusted. Anything else they could do to satisfy me would be appreciated.
