Review: Dec 28th I had an oil change done on my dodge durrango 2006 v8 5.7l hemi. Feb 11th my car broke down picking my kids up from school.Dropped off my vehicle to [redacted] automotive by tow. [redacted] quoted me " 3 quarts low oil, thrown rod" Told the oil mechanic angel at K-Kar Center what happened. He went to inspect my car at [redacted] and video/took pictures. Then told me that the car was not short oil, but 1/2 quart and that it wasn't the bottom engine the problem is at the top of engine. He had no machine to check diagnostic only his words and assumption. After disputing with K-Kar center I had my car towed to another mechanic shop [redacted] affordable on the spot shop. Also quoted me "low on oil 2-3 quarts no leaks rod and valve knock. same codes that [redacted] quoted me with diagnostic. We both looked for any signs of leaks and none. He also physically shown me the oil dip stick which was very clear it was about 3 quarts short. I then went back to K-Kar center and asked to speak to [redacted] boss. He then had me speak to robert who over seen. I explained to him and he told me that I can not bring my car back after six weeks claiming that my car was improperly oil changed. and shorted oil. I told him that It would not break over night having half the oil the car is required to have in the vehicle it takes time to break with half or whats required. They refuse to handle this problem and now I have to take further action. I have been driving a rental car during this time to get around. I am waiting to pay the mechanic at [redacted]'s on the spot to get my car back. This is wrong and I have the evidence to prove.Desired Settlement: $2,800 for engine repairs and $1,000 for one month rental car expenses for draging out this dispute.
