I am rejecting this response because:
We were not told that it would be an extended amount of timeAgain, I do understand things can take time but there was no update or communication during the staining processI even stopped by to check on the progress two weeks after I dropped it off and the door had not movedIt was sitting right where I dropped it offI then checked on the progress again four weeks after I dropped it off and it was still not touchedWhen I finally picked up the door I wanted to show the finished door to my spouse to get her opinionThe interior color is not accurateI was giving the coloring of the door a chance to see if it was the lighting that was effecting itIt was not clearly explained that the door was going to be significantly undersizedIt was a custom order, to me a custom order means it is made to the exact measurements I wanted.

Dear *** ***,This is my response to ID #***Our Customer Special Ordered a *** Exterior Fiberglass Embossed door to resemble oak woodIt is classified as a 2/X 6/3/68" which is actual size of the door slabTo save the customer custom order cut down charges, we commonly
add to the existing opening as he was finishing and installing the door himselfI also sold the customer high compression door seals/stops as this was an entry door to a bathroom on a built in rear porchI made a visit to explain the process to this customerLater he became upset that he could not place stain on door and wipe it off within minutesYes, the door is made to stain if you have the patienceI offered to stain and finish the door free of charge and advised customer of the extended time that would takeThe Customer picked up the door and Said was happy with the doorK&M's policy is no returns on special orders, stamped on original invoiceMy response is to correct my free stain and finish job on my personal time on this door as it is not saleable when customer mortised and bored the doorcontinue to bend over backwards to satisfy customer with existing doorAn independent inspection would be nice.Sincerely, Ned L
