First of all I never told [redacted] anything about needing a starter solenoid. He came into my shop probably 6-8 months ago after hours looking for parts for his mower(s). He went on to tell me he thought his problem might be a safety switch or a...

solenoid. His mower was older and he had no serial numbers, model numbers, or part numbers. Therefore trying to locate parts on a machine that we had no way of identifying was extremely diffcult. Also he had told me from the get go he had 2 or 3 other mowers so he wasn't in a big hurry for this one. He had another mower here that we had gotten do within a handful of days because he had told us he needed the craftsman. His Murray(the one hes complaining about) was one of the worst mowers we have seen. His entire electrical system had been completely fried. His entire wiring harness had to be replaced along with his starter, ignition switch, and terminals. I put all the parts we replaced in a bag and tied them to his stearing wheel so he could see what had to be changed. We communicated by text messages (which I still have) he went on to tell me he wanted his blades replaced. His mower wasn't just brought in here for wiring problems. Which from what i've read in his statement he failed to mention. Also his battery was trashed. It was under warranty through tractor supply. I went out of my way to take his battery back and get it changed free of charge. [redacted] was far from compliant. I went out of my as much as I could to help him out the best of my ability. Nothing I said or did was acceptable in his eyes. He wanted to take his mower and not pay and that wasnt going to happen. The reason his mower wouldn't start when he came to pick it up was because his battery was trashed. Which like I said was replaced free of charge. I never once told him we would maybe work on it tomorrow because I had the new battery installed that same day. This isn't a hobby. This is a job, and my career, and im getting tired of having people coming in here trying to low ball me, or rip me off because im 23 years old and they feel as if they can take advantage of me. [redacted] also failed to mention that I offered to sell his equipment for him FREE OF CHARGE just so he could have his money back on the machine. But that wasn't good enough. I did all that I could to make it right with him but he wasn't getting the answer he wanted to hear. This is the first time i've ever had anyone file against me. I'm a very easy person but I won't be walked on. He wont be getting money back and I wont be doing business with this man anymore. Sometimes doing good business is not doing business with people like him.
