I am rejecting this response because:K&S claims that mold was present prior to their restoration work is and irrelevant I have had the property inspected by two other water restoration experts who verify that the property was not properly dried out by K&S in June of ( [redacted] ***, and [redacted] ***) There is still moisture in an interior wall as of Dec Apparently there should have been removal of paneling and other measures to insure that the structure was dry, something that a qualified and reputable professional would know It makes little difference which employee did actual work or how many days fans were in place, the repercussions to me are that extensive damage has resulted from leaving water behind the walls This property is equipped with a sump pump and dehumidifier because of the possibility of water invasion It has flooded in the past and has been dried out I inspected the property after the last flooding event about years ago I saw no moldI had the neighbor reroute his downspouts so that his rain wasn't dumping towards the house and there was no flooding since that time The event that K&S attended to was the result of inches of rainfall over night I would like to see photo evidence, as that is what I am told is standard practice if there is a pre-existing condition Mold, I am told by the IIHCRC certification board for carpet cleaning and restoration, generally shows up on the drywall about a year after there is moisture behind walls That is consistent with what the renters report. The work done by K&S on Decwas in response to my complaint to the certification board, but is once again superficial and incompleteThere is still wet wood behind the wall as verified by an employee of [redacted] *** Kevin [redacted] refuses to give me the name of his insurance company

In response to *** *** letterWe were hired to extract water from her basement and dry her basement outI have enclosed scope dry down sheets supporting this factWe treated her basement with an antimicrobial treatment which helps prevent mold growth but does not kill existing mold***
had black mold visible in her closet area prior to our company drying down the basement, this was not caused by usMy manger Anthony *** made a note of this and remembers it being there prior to starting the dry out process. ***'s basement has been flooded numerous times before and you can tell by the condition of the paneling and rotten woodWe had our equipment drying out ***'s rental house for a period of days, not daysWe did not remove our equipment early as she statedAlso *** has not had any contractor do any work in her rental house other than our company on December 27th, 2017 removing and treating the sheetrock in the closet area and treating the woodWe were also there on December 30th cleaning the ductwork system and installing heap filtersWe took care of removing ***'s mold issue but we were not the cause of these ongoing conditions*** stated that Kevin *** (Me) did mold testing in her home, this is not true at all, our company does not do mold testing*** also stated that we pulled out of the job early because she complained about the price, this is also not trueMy manager Anthony *** completed the job until everything was dried out completelyAnthony will testify in court about the existing mold conditions in Mrs***'s rental property and also that the job was completedWe did the best we could with what we had to work with and I feel that we are being blamed for conditions that we had no control overWe have done what we can do to help Mrs*** with her rental home but are not responsible for giving her a remodeled home after multiple floods

This is 1 1/2 year later since we dried out Mrs. [redacted]'s basement in her rental home there is no way the walls would be wet still from July 2016. There has been plenty of rain in the summer of 2017 that could have easily seeped into the [redacted]'s rental house basement. There was 4" of rain not 12". The water in the [redacted]'s basement was only 1" deep and did not go over the 2X4 plate of the paneled walls which would've easily dried out with our equipment. Our company manager told Mrs. [redacted] of the pre existing mold in her closet at the time of the dry out in July 2017. When Anthony spoke with Mrs. [redacted] about this recently she claims she does not remember the conversation. I would like to know the name of the person from the IICRC that told Mrs. [redacted] that mold usually shows up a year later. Mold would show up right away and would show within 72 hours of being wet unless there is drying occurring with fans & dehu's which we had in place. Mrs. [redacted] complained we left the fans in her home to long, we only left them at her rental home until our moisture meter were reading dry structure. If Mrs. [redacted] lived in the same state as her rental house she would have seen first hand how the job was done correctly. There could have easily been more moisture in Mrs. [redacted]'s rental home since the time our company dried out her basement. This is an old home and not very well cared for as you can see from the photos I sent in the first response. We have been in business since 1986 and are Certified by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration and has never received any formal complaint from Revdex.com until Mrs. [redacted]. We take care of our customers and stand by our work but in this case Mrs. [redacted] has been completely unreasonable to work with and expects our company to take the blame for something we did correctly. We have already removed the pre existing closet mold recently and cleaned the air ducts in her rental at no charge. This is above and beyond what most company's would do.

I am rejecting this response because:K&S claims that mold was present prior to their restoration work is false and irrelevant.  I have had the property inspected by two other water restoration experts who verify that the property was not properly dried out by K&S in June of 2016. ([redacted], and [redacted]) There is still moisture in an interior wall as of Dec. 2017.  Apparently there should have been removal of paneling and other measures to insure that the structure was dry, something that a qualified and reputable professional would know.  It makes little difference which employee did actual work or how many days fans were in place, the repercussions to me are that extensive damage has resulted from leaving water behind the walls.  This property is equipped with a sump pump and dehumidifier because of the possibility of water invasion.  It has flooded in the past and has been dried out.  I inspected the property after the last flooding event about 10 years ago.  I saw no mold. I had the neighbor reroute his downspouts so that his rain wasn't dumping towards the house and there was no flooding since that time.  The event that K&S attended to was the result of 12 inches of rainfall over night.  I would like to see photo evidence, as that is what I am told is standard practice if there is a pre-existing condition.  Mold, I am told by the IIHCRC certification board for carpet cleaning and restoration, generally shows up on the drywall about a year after there is moisture behind walls.  That is consistent with what the renters report. The work done by K&S on Dec. 30 was in response to my complaint to the certification board, but is once again superficial and incomplete. There is still wet wood behind the wall as verified by an employee of [redacted].  Kevin [redacted] refuses to give me the name of his insurance company.
