Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 10, 2017/06/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept the response because I was told that I would not be charged for the appointment I missed I understand I signed a waiver but if I was told I would not be charged and was never sent a billI told them the person that relieved me from work called off something I could not prevent at the time they seemed to understandThis has happened twice this is something I couldn't preventI was told I would not be charged and did not get charged until I missed this last appointment As far as Afdent it's not their place to tell someone where to go because appointments get cancelled I did get offended the nurses need to learn how to talk to patients seriously

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2017/06/06) */
Patient has had 5 failed appointments giving less than 48 business hrs notice as per our policy: 9/2015 cancelled day of, 10/2015 less than 48 bus hrs, 11/2016 less than 48 bus hrs, 12/2016 no show, & 5/2017 less than 48 bus hrs. We waived the...

first two cancelation fees, though we generally only waive one. She did come in 11/8/16 which was the last time we saw her. At this time there were no charges because we waived them. The balance of the charges is from the three remaining dates after that visit in 11/16, 12/16, & 5/17. The patient signed our financial agreement at her first visit where she was informed of our cancelation policy and charges. Like most practices reserve our appointment times for only the patient scheduled and we do not "stack" our appointments. If a patient finds that they are not able to give adequate notice repeatedly, a large clinic such as Afdent may be their best option because they stack their schedule to accommodate sudden changes. We have documentation to support the failed appointments without proper notice per our agreement and all waived and non-waived charges. (Please note that the patient would have to sign a release of records in order for us to share this documentation with the Revdex.com due to HIPAA regulations.)

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept the response because I was told that I would not be charged for the appointment I missed I understand I signed a waiver but if I was told I would not be charged and was never sent a bill. I told them the person that relieved me from work called off something I could not prevent at the time they seemed to understand. This has happened twice this is something I couldn't prevent. I was told I would not be charged and did not get charged until I missed this last appointment.
As far as Afdent it's not their place to tell someone where to go because appointments get cancelled I did get offended the nurses need to learn how to talk to patients seriously
