K &T Cabinet and Granite

In response to the issues stated: The granite cuts were claimed to be inaccurate, when in fact, they were accurate. The wall that the cabinets are up against is not straight. The counter top comes in 26 inch sheets, including a 1 1/4 to 1 1/12 inch overhang. The wall not being straight required us to put caulking in the gap on the end. This caulking is paintable and is typical in granite installation. As per the contract, received by Mr. *** when doing granite installation, we do not typically do counter top removal, unless we charge a fee of at least $300.00. We did not charge Mr. Ramirez or Ms. a fee. When our installers arrived, the counter top was still in place. Our contract also states that we are not responsible for any damages incurred during the demolition. Damaging existing back splash is typical during the demolition of existing granite. The "damages" to the back splash was one unbroken tile, which can be easily replaced. The kitchen counter top area was not prepared in advance. Upon arrival, Ms. asked us to finish what should have been already done. We wanted to help her out and did not charge her to install a cabinet that was not the correct size for the area. They had to cut it to fit. This could not be helped. In closing, we were only paid for the materials and installation for the granite.. As opposed to telling Ms. she would have to have the proper preparations done, and come back once said preparations were done. We helped her out. We do not appreciate the slanderous accusation made against our company. We have been here for over 2 year and work with many contractor and builders in the area. We take pride in our work, and had we done something wrong in the care of Ms., rest assured, we would have made it right.
