My name is *** *** with Terravista Corporation, the owners and manager of Westwood Plaza Apartments. We have received the complaint of *** *** of Apartment at Westwood Plaza. We have attempted to reach her today by telephone (unsuccessfully, leaving message on their
voicemail) and have sent one of our managers, Sylvia, to speak personally with her Of course we wish to do everything possible to resolve the concerns that Ms*** has. We have been working diligently these past weeks to resolve problems with the level of hot water within this sector of the Westwood Plaza Apartments, replacing boiler systems and valves within certain individual apartments. Unfortunately, we have had to shut off the water at times to accomplish these repairsWhile every effort has been made to provide some advance notice, this is not always possible. Certainly, we will work hard to ensure that our notices of water shut off are more timely and fully made We take the concerns of Ms*** seriously and we intend to talk with her and attempt to resolve her concerns, both past and current. In trying to reach her myself, I did notice that the telephone number that we have for her in our computer system (721-3045) is no longer a correct telephone number for her. We even attempted to contact her emergency contact (Mother, Ms*** ***) and reached her voicemail at work. With the complaint that was filed with your office, we have now found her correct number and will ensure that this is logged into our system so that telephonic notices can more appropriately given when there is such short notice By copy of this to *** *** of our office, I am asking that she formally responds to Ms***'s complaint...and ensures that corrective action is taken...and that her concerns have been addressed Thank you for your attention to this matter Sincerely, *** ** *** President Terravista Corporation

My clients have asked me to respond to the attached complaint from Ms. [redacted]. My client acknowledge that Apartment 1203 was not ready for occupancy on February 23, 2016. Ms. [redacted] was not charged rent until it was ready on February 26. Per the manager, all items that might "naturally affect the health or safety of an ordinary tenant" have been resolved. Ms. [redacted] has not, as of March 11, paid March rent. That is not allowed per Texas law and may lead to her being evicted.
