Review: Firstly, I love K1. I normally go to the one in carlsbad. I have been about 40 times over the years and never had a bad experience till now.I had called multiple times to ask about reservations on a Saturday night and was told that my party of seven needed to be a party of 8 to make a reservation. I asked what time they closed on Saturday so we could come a reasonable time for our party of seven. they close at 11.Our party showed up before 10pm on saturday the 22nd of February and at first we were told that they could not accommodate us even though they were not closing till 11pm and very few people were in line. This didn't feel right at first so I politely questioned why, telling them that I called and was told to just walk in. "magically" the cashier found space for us.One of the members in our party forgot to sign up to race. when we realized this, we asked if he could join our race and they again told us no. we apologized and told her it was my birthday and would appreciate her help. She didn't seem to care. Having a hard time with the cashier, I asked for a manager. [redacted] told us the only way we could have our friend join was if our race got pushed back 3 races to be the last of the night. we asked if there was any other way around it. he said no and we politely waited for about 45 min.Our race started and I'm pretty sure that I never made it around the track one full loop with out being stopped. each time the cars were aloud to move again, the cars were restricted to about 5 miles an hour for a full loop. they would let us have speed for about 15 seconds and purposely stop us again. After the race I went directly to the manager [redacted] and questioned what the problem was saying we feel cheated. He said that he would only credit me because it was my birthday and told the rest of us that we had to leave or he would call the cops. I never received a credit and I still haven't heard from corporate after calling the next day. it's been 1 week.Desired Settlement: All I want is for each one of the people in my party to receive a credit for 1 race. The race we all should have had together on my birthday night. It would have been easy for [redacted] to Credit our accounts that night, but I guess in his "power Trip" he instead decided to be absolutely rude, not listening to a word we said, and told us to leave or he would call the cops.

To Whom it may concern –

A group of gentlemen came into the center and purchased races – at that time they were quoted a wait time. Later on the group added another person which adjusted their wait longer. The manager informed them of this as well. Once the group got onto the race track they were briefed and educated on rules and regulations of our track which included possible reduction in speed and removal from track if carts were miss handled. During the race it became evident that the group was intoxicated as they were driving poorly and crashing quite often which included heavy bumping of each other. The racers were slowed and given warnings. During the race one of the group actually stopped his cart and walk off the track causing a severe safety issue. When the race was completed the group approached the manager very upset and aggressive in nature demanding a refund and threatening. The manager offered a free race to the racers but half wanted money back vs a race and then one got aggressive and physical with the manager. At this point management told the group to leave or local authority would be called. K1 speed feels that we did everything in our power to provide services as purchased and due to the aggressive behavior of the group we are unable to reward a refund.

Review: On Saturday, February 22, 2014, me, my wife and some of our friends visited K1 Speed Electric Indoor Kart Racing located in 1709 Main St, San Diego, 92101 and faced the worst customer service ever. It was around 10 pm when we got there, and as there were 7 of us, they offered to wait till everyone in line is done, and race just 7 of us in the end. We agreed to race last, waited for more than 40 minutes, and still when we got to a race there were some other people (6 of them). That would still be ok, if the manager wouldn't stop our race every 2 laps, give half of the kart's speed and ended the race before we even got to the middle of it. We tried to be reasonable with him, but he wouldn't listen, he just pointed at a door and told us to leave. He couldn't explain why he stopped us or why we couldn't finish the race as we supposed to. He was extremely rude and unethical customer service behavior. Manager's name was Daniel Santos.We tried to talk to his management, contacted the office, but the only response I got for the past 5 days was "we will call you back".Desired Settlement: I would like a total refund
