I am rejecting this response because:
MsR*** is frustrated for no reason, she is not the one who payed for a rental property that was not in the condition to be rentedAs stated previously I was unable to reach MsR*** to resolve this matter the night after we checked in, after multiple times of trying to contact herThere was no party at the rental property, and upon her arrival family members who were enjoying the public beach were willing to leave, MsR*** insisted that was not necessaryThis entire process prior to even booking this property MsR*** has been almost impossible to reach via email or telephoneNo one is asking her to defend her business, we are simply asking to be compensated for a part of our stay due to the fact that our child was bitten and we found a live bug and shelling's in the couch and beddingWe paid to occupy a space and that space was unsanitaryPictures of the live bug, bites, and shelling's were taken and sent to Revdex.comWhether the shelling is bed bugs or cockroaches, I don't see how one is any better than the otherNo droppings or eggs should be found infested within a couch, it is disgusting and unsanitaryNo one entered that entire loft during the rest of our stayIf Ms R*** would have attended the issues sooner we could have left the rental and went else whereMsR*** is making this process more difficult than it isThere is no need to talk about character especially when you are a owner of a business, she should address the issue professionallyWhich she has not been doing from the beginning, from not returning my phone calls after our stay, as well as rejecting a formal complaint in the mailIf she had responded to this issue sooner we would not be in this situationIf she had kept her rentals to renting standards, there would be no issues, it is that simpleFor those who do check Revdex.com reviews they will see that this is not the first complaint against this property, and how unprofessional MsR*** is when it comes to addressing issues with her rental propertiesThe condition of the property is unacceptable it is that simple and I nor anyone else should have to pay for a rental property in that conditionThis business is wrong

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Although I am grateful that Ms. R[redacted] has replied after many numerous attempts at trying to resolve this issue, Ms.  R[redacted] still has not offered any resolution or even an apology for the inconvenience this has caused me and my family . I understand her frustration due to this situation, but as a property manager to feel as though you have no liability when guests are complaining about the condition of a rental property they are paying for, which does not meet the standards that it portrays is not right. I appreciate Ms. R[redacted] offering to dispose of the trash but to avoid any additional fees I felt as though disposing of the trash myself would be best. As for the other situations such as the gathering that occurred while at the property with a few of our family members, Ms. R[redacted] contacted the property owner and explained the multiple situations at hand which were the gathering and bed bug issue, than upon agreement decided that the gathering was not an issue due to the fact that no one was in the house. We as guest also did not mind having a few of our family members leave, Ms. R[redacted] was aware of that. I felt the need to inform the property manager while she was at the property of a highly transferable situation such as bed bugs, since previously we were not able to reach her. When she was informed about the bed bug situation, Ms. R[redacted] did advise me that there was no solution she could offer at that moment and that she would do her research and look into it, than contact me after our stay, which has not been done until Revdex.com contacted her. She was also made aware that we did not occupy that loft after finding the bed bug and shelling. Ms. R[redacted] was contacted on Friday May 1, 2015 I am willing to send documentation from my mobile carrier showing that we indeed try to contact her regarding the bed bug situation. As for the broken items throughout the house, as a guest I would prefer not to check in and then need to deal with these issues. They should be checked prior to arrival just as the trash should be. Almost every food item whether it was condiments or not had been open and used, that is unsanitary. We as guests have been spoken to rudely, offered no assistance by the property manager in any of these situations. I hope that this situation can be resolved in a timely and professional manner.  Attached please find photos that were taken during our stay at the Seabreeze property.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I have contacted the customer directly and already resolved this matter. The owner of the property refund the full amount. A certified check was mailed out yesterday.

Yes this is a beautiful property and a very reasonable price.  Yes it is frustrating when previous guests don't take the trash out to get picked up ( it becomes a ripple effect for others) There are reminders in the property to have the guests be aware of the trash pick up dates. I...

told these guests that I would dispose of their trash but they decided to take care of it on their own. I have the cleaners leave food items such as condiments and unopened food such as popcorn, noodles, rice or can items for other guests to use. The TV in the loft works it just needed to be plugged in, their are ceiling fans in the bedrooms ad a few additional fans. (if I was told about them while the guests was their I would have brought over new ones) The neighbor next door does not look after this property but does call when there is a large party going on. This guest had a very large grp here even though was told before the booking was confirmed that nay outside guests, gatherings, or events would need to be cleared first. ( its also stated in the rental agreement) I was put in an uncomfortable place to confront the guest while the party was going on. This was when she used the words "bed bugs" as if that was a reason she should be allowed to have a party there (with out asking) and threatened to post a bad and untrue review. (which she has) This property does not have "bed bugs"!!!  Sad and frustrating how people do things that aren't right. You have only to read the reviews to see how great this property truly is.

So frustrating that I have to defend my business. There are no bed bugs at this property. we never had any. The eggs the guest pointed out are roach eggs which I explained to her. attached is the difference between roach and bed bugs. For a guest to quickly say what the cause is with out going to a doctor and writing up a bad review with nothing to back it up is saying a lot about this persons character. As mentioned earlier, this complaint came about after I had to crash an authorized party at the property. As anyone can read up on this property, the negative and untrue comments from this guest is the only one of its kind.
What do bed bug eggs look like?
Bed bug eggs are small (around 0.1 inches, 2.5mm) long and appear white or semi-transparent, similar to a grain of uncooked white rice. They will be sticky to the touch and usually clustered together. You can also find shed egg shells after the infant bed bugs have hatched, but as these are very small and can resemble general debris you should look for active bugs and eggs as well.
On average female adult bed bugs will lay 1-5 eggs per day. They can be laid on almost any surface but are typically found in cracks or rough surfaces, especially around your mattress seams. They hatch within about a week. Over her lifetime, a female bed bug can lay up to 500 eggs. This and the fact that bed bugs are good at hiding allows bed bug populations to spread and grow quickly.

Female cockroaches produce egg cases, known as oothecae. Oothecae contain many eggs and are enveloped by a protein substance that gradually hardens into a strong, protective casing. Some cockroach species drop the egg case, while other species carry it until the eggs are ready to hatch.
The American cockroach’s ootheca is dark brown in color and averages 8 mm in length. One female may create six to 90 oothecae in her lifetime. The female American cockroach carries the ootheca for a few hours to a few days, at which point she deposits the egg case in a safe, hidden location. The American cockroach ootheca contains approximately 15 embryos and remains in place through the use of the female’s saliva. Immature cockroaches will emerge from the ootheca within 24 to 38 days.
The brown-banded cockroach’s ootheca is light reddish-brown in color and measures approximately 5 mm in length.
