Kaaboo goers - BEWARE of pick pockets!!! My iphone and camera were stolen from my purse @ Encore 9/16/16, as well as other girls's that same nightDiscover SD magazine advertises that kaaboo's "target audience (is) a more affluent and somewhat older clientele" and that, "it's clear there's a sizable number of people who will pay, and pay very well, for extra creature comforts"These statements have attracted lowlife thieves who aim to prey off of any kaaboo clientele, regardless of their financial standingsThis is, after all, a "sophisticated, borderline festival approach aimed at drawing discerning crowds, not just moccasin-wearing 20-somethings"I encountered several girls that same evening in a similar state of shock, wandering around looking at the floor with a flashlight, having had their phones stolen as wellSomeone is specifically targeting the kaaboo population, and you should guard your purse with your lifeOr, perhaps don't set foot on kaaboo property at all The staff member I spoke with at Encore upon noticing this theft, a "manager" of the bar mind you, told me that there was nothing she could do, and furthermore, she "didn't care"I was completely taken aback by thisRefer me to lost and found, transfer me to a higher authority, go up your chain of commandsomethingThis is what any reasonable customer service entailsNo, she flat out said, "There's nothing I can do, and personally I don't give a ***"When she saw the shock on my face at hearing this, she gave me a thumbs up signalI tried to keep the discussion human, in mentioning that if this type of thing had happened to her, or anyone else she knew for that matter, how would she feel? Again, I was given the thumbs up sign, and was basically disrespected and turned awayExcellent professionalism from (seasonal?) kaaboo employeesPoint being - don't expect any help, or even sympathy, should this ever happen to youKaaboo is all about profit Looking back, the only thing I can possibly pinpoint is that this group of thieves is working in a team, as most thieves operateThere was a girl and a guy who distracted me with a new york state ID, as if I had dropped it"Is this you? Did you drop this?!" I was thinking at first they were just being nice and trying to locate the person who dropped their IDGod forbid there are any decent people these days who would do such a thing, but stillThey took the license back and then said, "no are you sure? That has to be you!" So I took a second look, because this time, I honestly wanted to see who this person was that they thought I looked likeLow and behold, this is likely when the other part of their team was pickpocketing my cross body purseThey managed to unzip and rezip different pouches of my purse to steal these itemsThey did, however, leave my ID and credit cards intactBy the time I realized what had happened, these thieves were long goneWhen I searched "find my iPhone", the device (which was approximately 80% charged at the time) was powered off To whomever stole my electronic devices - you can have the camera, and you can have my iPhone (which btw is now blacklisted and rendered useless to anyone you try to sell it to, thanks to AT&T); I would, however, love to have my memory card backYou see, my boyfriend and I met at last year's kaaboo I was living in San Diego at the time, and he was living in FloridaWe never expected to have such a connection that spawned a long distance relationship and eventually me relocating to Florida to be with himWe were returning to San Diego (kaaboo 2016) this year for our one year anniversary of meetingThe electronics are replaceable, but the photos and videos I took of us were of sentimental valueNow knowing that you are unable to sell my iPhone, I would suggest you turn it in to lost & found, so I may track it downOtherwise, I am projecting bad karma your way, and I seriously hope you rot in hell For the rest of Kaaboo - goers, if you DO choose to go to Kaaboo, PLEASE - be aware of your surroundingsBe aware of pit pocketsBe aware that this festival is geared towards "affluent" populationsKnow that even if you have a cross body purse, that someone could still distract you for long enough to steal your itemsKnow that no one at kaaboo has your back, nor does anyone give a damn should your items get stolenBetter yet, don't waste your money on an overpriced southern california music festival that boasts that they "are looking to take the concept of a music festival to the next level" in the first place [redacted] oh and please excuse any kaaboo misspellings, as my computer has wanted to change it to kabob every time #kaaboo #kaaboo#thieves #scam #ripoff #worstemployeesever

KAABOO does not cover expenses for any media outlets, so we are unable to provide any reimbursement to Infamousworks Mr*** is welcome to submit a media application for and it will be reviewed once the submission process for the event is open The media pass submission process for the event will open as we are closer in time to the event

Kaaboo goers - BEWARE of pick pockets!!! My iphone and camera were stolen from my purse @ Encore 9/16/16, as well as other girls's that same night. Discover SD magazine advertises that kaaboo's "target audience (is) a more affluent and somewhat older clientele" and that, "it's clear there's a sizable number of people who will pay, and pay very well, for extra creature comforts". These statements have attracted lowlife thieves who aim to prey off of any kaaboo clientele, regardless of their financial standings. This is, after all, a "sophisticated, borderline festival approach aimed at drawing discerning crowds, not just moccasin-wearing 20-somethings". I encountered several girls that same evening in a similar state of shock, wandering around looking at the floor with a flashlight, having had their phones stolen as well. Someone is specifically targeting the kaaboo population, and you should guard your purse with your life. Or, perhaps don't set foot on kaaboo property at all.

The staff member I spoke with at Encore upon noticing this theft, a "manager" of the bar mind you, told me that there was nothing she could do, and furthermore, she "didn't care". I was completely taken aback by this. Refer me to lost and found, transfer me to a higher authority, go up your chain of command... something. This is what any reasonable customer service entails. No, she flat out said, "There's nothing I can do, and personally I don't give a [redacted]". When she saw the shock on my face at hearing this, she gave me a thumbs up signal. I tried to keep the discussion human, in mentioning that if this type of thing had happened to her, or anyone else she knew for that matter, how would she feel? Again, I was given the thumbs up sign, and was basically disrespected and turned away. Excellent professionalism from (seasonal?) kaaboo employees. Point being - don't expect any help, or even sympathy, should this ever happen to you. Kaaboo is all about profit.

Looking back, the only thing I can possibly pinpoint is that this group of thieves is working in a team, as most thieves operate. There was a girl and a guy who distracted me with a new york state ID, as if I had dropped it. "Is this you? Did you drop this?!" I was thinking at first they were just being nice and trying to locate the person who dropped their ID. God forbid there are any decent people these days who would do such a thing, but still. They took the license back and then said, "no are you sure? That has to be you!" So I took a second look, because this time, I honestly wanted to see who this person was that they thought I looked like. Low and behold, this is likely when the other part of their team was pickpocketing my cross body purse. They managed to unzip and rezip 2 different pouches of my purse to steal these items. They did, however, leave my ID and credit cards intact. By the time I realized what had happened, these thieves were long gone. When I searched "find my iPhone", the device (which was approximately 80% charged at the time) was powered off.
To whomever stole my electronic devices - you can have the camera, and you can have my iPhone (which btw is now blacklisted and rendered useless to anyone you try to sell it to, thanks to AT&T); I would, however, love to have my memory card back. You see, my boyfriend and I met at last year's kaaboo 2015. I was living in San Diego at the time, and he was living in Florida. We never expected to have such a connection that spawned a long distance relationship and eventually me relocating to Florida to be with him. We were returning to San Diego (kaaboo 2016) this year for our one year anniversary of meeting. The electronics are replaceable, but the photos and videos I took of us were of sentimental value. Now knowing that you are unable to sell my iPhone, I would suggest you turn it in to lost & found, so I may track it down. Otherwise, I am projecting bad karma your way, and I seriously hope you rot in hell.

For the rest of Kaaboo - goers, if you DO choose to go to Kaaboo, PLEASE - be aware of your surroundings. Be aware of pit pockets. Be aware that this festival is geared towards "affluent" populations. Know that even if you have a cross body purse, that someone could still distract you for long enough to steal your items. Know that no one at kaaboo has your back, nor does anyone give a damn should your items get stolen. Better yet, don't waste your money on an overpriced southern california music festival that boasts that they "are looking to take the concept of a music festival to the next level" in the first place.

** oh and please excuse any kaaboo misspellings, as my computer has wanted to change it to kabob every time.
