I lived at a complex in Rochester in the year of 2014. I will say when we had a problem with the handle on our stove/dishwasher they did come and fix it promptly.
The ladies at the front desk in dover are super nice. They are very helpful and welcoming the the office when you go in.
My only 2 complaints are, even when you do the right thing and inform them the rent is going to be 1-2 days late, they still charge you a 65.00 late fee. I was in between jobs and was short on funds until 1 week after rent was due. I informed them and they were nice and said it was no problem but then charged me with a late fee. I understand you have to set rules and expectations but 1 time out of a whole year and I was hit with a late fee.
Then upon move out, I spent four days scrubbing the bathroom walls/sink/tub spotless. I used endless amounts of cleaning products and supplies to ensure the apartment was clean. I cleaned everything. When we moved IN the carpets had holes in them, the microwave was dirty, and the stove was dirty, there was still LEFTOVER food in the cabinets. When I left the apartment the apartment was SPOTLESS. I left a very nice box spring in the apartment and a 100% working vacuum for the new tenant coming in. I left a note saying it wasn't trash and it was for the next tenant if they wanted it. Well, this place KEPT my security deposit, nickled and dimed me saying I left trash in the apartment. Saying the bathroom wasn't clean. They kept my security deposit and then on top of that tried to tell me I owed them 625.00.
They kept my security deposit saying I broke my lease. My lease was from Jan 2014 - Jan 1 2014. The lease terms say in order to move out you have to give them a 60 day notice. They themselves allowed me to give them a 45 day notice. I moved out in FEBRUARY and they kept my security deposit and then nickled and dimed me for stuff that was already dirty/broken/damaged when we moved in.
I tried to call the company and explain this to them. I got the run around and then never got a call back. To this day in 2016 I have never received my security deposit of 950.00 and have never heard back from them. I honestly just gave up trying to contact them and get my security deposit back but honestly, this is a poorly run business and I just think nickle and diming people should be illegal.

The lady who showed us our apartments plainly lied to us about several things including how utilities were handled, as well as KNOWN pest problems (tons of ants and hornets), we asked before moving in if we could put up a small fence and were told not a problem, we were told recently that we cannot, they claimed the carpets had been cleaned and they clearly had not been, there was an enormous 3'x1' hole in a basement wall, and the bulkhead and basement door are not sealed to the outside so bugs and vermin can come in as they please. They try their hardest not to fix anything, our oven broke and it took them almost a month to come out and fix it (day before Thanksgiving, thanks guys) and the house has several decent gaps in the drywall which we were told was "the house settling". If and when you attempt to bring up issues you basically speak to a receptionist and get a "we will get back to you" and just hope for the best. If you do make a stink you may get t
