Galt's Owner Mike was great to work with upfront on the initial estimateHe saved time by conducting the estimate walk through via FaceTime, which was convenientI was a little disappointed when I went to pick up boxes, the boxes were "included" in the estimate but quantity of boxes provided did not reflect the quantity needed based upon my homes inventoryMike quickly addressed this by doubling the quantity on the spot at no charge, but it still was not in line with my homes need and I had to run to Home Depot for more boxes I would suggest Galt better align the two or put a box quantity in their estimate for homeowners to understand the true potential cost and comparison to other movers I was also a little disappointed someone did not reach out a day or two in advance of the move date to confirm arrival time, and materials being provided the day of the move - I had to call the day before The day of the move, Chris and crew were great! Chris brought plenty of moving blankets and floor protection to ensure protection of my home's hard wood floorsThey took care in protecting my furniture, and only had one minor damage incident on my air hockey table, which I was assured is covered by the insurance provided (TBD) The crew worked late to get us moved in one day, while maintaining a professional mannerI was also a little disappointed to see an oil leak on my brand new concrete driveway - if the truck is leaking get it fixed or protect by placing cardboard under the truck Overall I would recommend Galt for moving services due to the smooth nature of our move friendly service and "get it done" attitude, but get better clarification upfront on inclusions and exclusions for boxes and assessories, and suggest management attend to truck maintenance and upfront scheduling communication
This company is a joke and for a family company has no family valuesMy move was problematic from the beginning, they were late, forgot mattress bags for protection and did damage to my home I was moving out ofThey damaged many of my items during the moveTwo days after moving into my new home I had a very close family member pass away and I had to leave immediately and travelI was out of town for two weeks to handle the deathWhen I got home and unpacked I submitted claims for damage doneAs I continued to unpack I reported damage as I u packed but shame on my for not reading the fine print on the back of the paperworkIf you don’t report damage with days they will not accept itI was a week late and they refused the repair additional damageFamily company with family valuesI think not, they were not helpful at all in a time of family tragedy I even send them the messages from the funeral home and volunteered their contact informationNow if you really want a joke, they repair man they hired to come out, it took to weeks to get them out, they did not return calls, said they didn’t get messages so they did not call backWhen I finally was able to get a date confirmed to do repairs, he was minutes late and looked like he was out partying all nightHe could not find my hone and I had to spend + minutes on the phone guiding him to my homeWhen he arrived, after he used the port a potty across the street he just walked in my homeDidn’t even knock! The only words out of his mouth were I don’t have enough time to fix this! They ruined several items totaling $3000+ and sent a check for $200! They claim that I picked the lower insurance, but I was never offered a tyope of insurance, only a price I assumed they were fully insured I am giving them this opportunity to pay the $before I file a complaint with the insurance division of [redacted] They are required by law to offer all types of insurance and allow me to pick one Until I got a check for nothing for the damages they admittedly caused I had no idea that I had options
