Poor Customer Service. Losing Faith in Kahr
The 7-rd magazine to my PM9 split at the bottom causing pistol malfunctions. Emailed Kahr customer service and was told the mags were out of stock but they would send me one when the magazine came in. Waited 6 month with no response and no magazine. Sent another email and was told they were still out of stock. I offered to take an 8-rd magazine in lieu and pay the difference. I was told they would replace the 7-rd mag. Its been almost a year and they are not responding to my emails now. Kinda sad as I own four Kahr and this is how they treat their faithful customers.

Customer/Technical Service Department unable to be reached by phone, message, or e-mail.PM40 pistol purchased in March of 2012; two year warranty advertised. Included 5-round magazine split at top rear and no longer works. I attempted to contact the Customer Service Department on 17, 18, and 20 February for several hours each day, using the advertised number of XXX-XXX-XXXX. Every time, the result was the same. I was put on hold for about 5 minutes, then automatically disconnected. If I used the option to leave a message, the auto voice said the function was not available and again disconnected. I contacted the operator several times on different days; one suggested I send an e-mail to: [redacted]@kahr.com. I did so on 17 February and have not had a response. The rest of the operators said they could not assist me and told me to keep calling the same number. I want to ask them if the 5-round magazine that came with the pistol is also covered by the warranty; if so, I would like to have them send me a new one. Why is it so hard to contact them?Desired SettlementI want a replacement 5-round magazine.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@kahr.comWe had a pow truck hit a gas line and we were closed from 2/18-2/19. As such we were not able to answer the phones or emails at this time. If Mr.[redacted] could call us or email us again we would be glad to send him a new magazine.

Complaint45 auto pistol sights were off, returned pistol for repair, kept several weeks, and returned not repairedPurchased CW45 auto new and took to gun range for practice. Target was at 50 feet and I could not hit it. Asked fellow range shooter to watch and try to see where bullets were going. They observed bullets going into ground. They fired pistol with same result. Asked 3 others and all had same result, using sights, pistol fired extremely low. Finally had to aim at ceiling to hit target. Called Kahr with complaint, received RMA, and had to pay to ship pistol to them. Waited several weeks, gave them a call, and was told pistol was on it's way back to me. I received pistol with a target with 3 holes in it and a note stating that there was nothing wrong with the sights, and was not in need of repair. Took gun back to range and it still fired into the dirt, and again asked some others to fire pistol and they to had same result. I called Kahr and explained the situation to them again and that I was angry they did not repair sights. They refused to do anything else and continued to state there was nothing wrong with the sights, but with every shooter that had fired the gun. I asked them for a video of the test firing, but they refused. I stated anyone could shoot 3 holes in a target if it was a point blank range and the sights were not necessary. They refused to offer any real proof of test firing, and I determined that continued complaining and arguing was not going to remedy the situation. I had a gunsmith look at the pistol and offer to repair the sights, but repair, which is a warranty item, would cost me. Debating paying for repair, but finally I opted for a laser sight, which I paid for. I can hit the target now with laser sight, but the angle of the laser to the barrel of the pistol is at markedly visible angle. There was and still is something definitely wrong with manufacturing of that particular pistol. I don't think they even manufacture that model anymore.Desired SettlementI would like it repaired under the original warranty to a properly working condition or replaced and they pay for re-shipping it, since they did not repair it the first time.

I received a defective firearm and after they repaired it I have to pay additional money to get it back. Their compensation offer is unsatifactoryI purchased a new weapon that would not fire out of the box. They accepted it back for investigation/repair. When they called to tell me the defects that they let leave their factory were fixed they informed me that the pistol would have to be shipped back to an [redacted] dealer. Which means I have to fill out another background check and pay another transfer fee to get back the same weapon I have already bought and paid a transfer fee for. Their offer of compensation was to send me a free magazine. Which might be ok if they were not already giving a free magazine to anyone that bought this model, and others, during [redacted] of 2015. I didn't damage this weapon, and I didn't send it out defective. But I get to incur extra expense and get to receive something for compensation for my additional expense, that I am able to receive free anyway. I have another model of their pistol with a smaller problem and their best answer was to blame me even though it came out of the box with it's minor defect.Desired SettlementI am not even sure what resolution I prefer. I would like a working item for the money I originally paid. I feel other potential customers deserve to see what they may be in for if they deal with this company. Business Response I have spoken to the customer and he said that he contacted a few different dealers that explained the process and why he was charged the fee and also how neither our company or the dealer was responsible for charging the fee. our company has sent additional products to the customer to help offset the costs he had inccured. The customer said he understood and was satisfied with the situation.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I was contacted by a Customer Service Supervisor and the situation was better explained to me. They actually did everything in their power to try to help me but there were things out of their control. I appreciate the time they took and the compensation that was provided.

Continual selling of faulty weapon designs.Kahr has been marketing and selling these faulty polymer pistols for years now. I purchased a cw380 knowing full well there would be a break in period of about 200 rounds according to their manual until you could depend on the functionality of the weapon. 500+ rounds later and the gun still doesn't function properly. Ammunition is not cheap, you're buying a [redacted] pistol and investing another [redacted] in ammunition to get a pistol that idoesnt work. Their polymer frame pistols also warp over time to the point of where the frame rails no longer retain the slide and cause the slide to jolt and jump around which causes all kinds of problems. This is a ridiculous that I need to spend this much money only to have a faulty weapon and my only recourse is to send it in for a new one that will require another 200 round break in so I need to put myself out again for this company. Kahr needs to plainly label their polymer guns as having a service life of only 100 rounds because that's as much life you'll get out of them before they warp. My advice is never buy a polymer gun from kahr.Desired SettlementRefund for the price of the gun, ammunition invested and the giant waste of time.Business Response We have reviewed our service records, and we have no record of a Mr. [redacted] sending his Kahr CW380 into our Service Department, or submitting a warranty registration. Without receiving the gun into our Service Department, and our gunsmiths evaluating the firearm we are not able to determine 1.) There is any warranty issue with the firearm or 2.) If there is a warranty issue, what would be causing the issue. We would recommend Mr. [redacted] send the pistol to our Service Department, and after evaluating the firearm we would then be able to offer a resolution to this matter. He could obtain a Return Authorization Number for the return of the firearm via our website or by phone, and we are willing to send a prepaid shipping label for the return of the firearm.

I purchase a M1 Carbine Rifle AOM130 and had some defective parts on it and I been trying to contact the service depart. I sent an Email on 1/25/2014 and got no response, I submitted twice the on line RMA request no response. I called early to day and it went to Voice mail, I left a call back number and they still have no return my call, I just called today and went to voice mail again and I left another message, I just want the part the is defective replace and I would do it my self it they would call or answer me back. I decided to call their sales depart and they answer promptly, so apparently they want to sell and not fix their products that are defective. Not sure why they give a one year warranty.I wonder if other people are having the same problems with their customer service.Product_Or_Service: M1 Carbine Account_Number: Serial Numer: MC0959Desired SettlementI would like the defective barrel band replaced.

I was told it is now on the desk of the e[redacted], [redacted] and that he would call me. that was 10 days ago.
